**It’s been awhile! Operation Beautiful is back, but first thing’s first…I need beautiful people to feature! This series only happens when *you* join in. If you or someone you know is beautiful inside and out, I would lovelovelove to feature you in an upcoming Operation. Just fill out these four quick questions and you’ll see yourself on the blog here soon.
For 2016 and for always, you need to change.
But I’m not talking about changing your weight or your love of chocolate – I’m talking about your love of yourself. So often, we fill ourselves with self-deprecating thoughts. I’m not pretty. I’m not that smart. I’m just not that great. And I’m definitely not beautiful.
First things first: you are beautiful. And this is an operation to prove it. Introducing: Operation Beautiful. Where we celebrate the beauty in each and every one of us. Now let’s hop to it – these girlies are fan-freakin-tastic.
I feel most beautiful when…I’m engaging my body. This could be exercising at home, doing yoga, or going for a hike. I like to see and feel my muscles working hard, moving me forward, and taking me through life.
My favorite physical features are my…Eyes. They’re big and dark and lined with thick lashes. When I was younger people would say I had doe eyes. I grew into them eventually, but I still think they’re pretty great.
Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My tenacity. If I have a goal or made a commitment, I will stick to it when it gets tough. I do my best to live out my beliefs and values even when it’d be a lot easier to take the easy way out.
I’m happiest when…I‘m trying something new and adventurous. I’ve got white water rafting, bungee jumping, and skydiving under my belt so far. Trying these new activities is often frightening beforehand, but the bravery of participating always results in an unparalleled thrill.
I feel most beautiful when…I have an outfit that I spent time putting together and I had some time to do my hair and makeup. I don’t feel like I need makeup to look pretty or even really that different, but it just really makes me feel like I am ready for whatever the day brings 🙂 .
My favorite physical feature are my…Smile lines! I always thought as I started showing signs of aging I would freak out, but instead, I find that I love them because they show my eyes off and show how happy I am. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of them while I’ve been married to my husband.
Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My laugh! I’ve been told that it is very recognizable and contagious. When I do start laughing, it is really hard for me to stop and those moments are some of my favorites!
I’m happiest when…I’ve been able to wake up on my own time and have some time to myself in the morning. I feel like after that, I can do anything with the rest of my day!
I feel most beautiful when…I’m dressed in nothing but a ratty tee and my husband stops what he’s doing and looks over at me and says I love you.
My favorite physical feature are my…Hips. Because nothing calms a screaming toddler like the sway of my hips as I rock her back and forth singing to her softly.
Something non-physical that I love about myself is…I’m a defender/protector, it’s in my personality, I defend the ones I love. I don’t sit back and let things happen.
I’m happiest when…I’m with the ones I love. Spending time with my husband and my daughter means the world to me. Time stops.
Join the movement.
