In my last reader survey, I asked how ya feel about LikeToKnow. It, and I was SO surprised at how many of ya said you had never heard of it before, or had no clue how it worked! Given how useful the tool can be, it’d be a total shame for me to NOT explain it for ya + share its benefits.
When you “like” photos that have @liketoknow.it in the caption, this means they’re “linked up”, as I like to say, with LikeToKnow. It – an affiliate service that lets us find and include things we’re wearing/using/loving/etc in little shoppable summaries for you guys to enjoy. You’ll see #liketkit and a hyperlink that looks something like liketk.it/2qhr1 (P.S. That’s a real link – see where it takes ya! 😉 ). You can just click on the products you want more info on, and it goes right to the product’s retail page where you can add to cart + call it a good shopping day. If you actually buy something right after clicking the link, the person who linked it up might receive a certain commission for initiating that sale. It’s typically a buck or two (honestly, sometimes it’s just a few cents), and it only happens if certain things happen exactly in a row – disruptions to the flow can cause any commission to drop altogether.
Here’s how to start using LikeToKnow. It, what happens when you do, the benefits, AND a lil’ Instagram roundup for ya, in case you’ve seen anything on the ‘gram that you’ve loveloveloved lately. 😉
Sign up for LikeToKnow.It. Now, when you like a “linked up” pic on Instagram, you’ll receive one short n’ sweet email with the shoppable product links. This is really friggin’ cool, cos it totally simplifies shopping. If you lovelovelove something that you see someone wearing on Instagam, you no longer have to ask them “Where’d ya get that?”, nor scour the web for a lookalike. The work’s already done for you! Super clutch. Alternatively, so long as you still have an account, you can just type in the liketk.it shortlink that’s included in the caption into your web browser, and the picks will pull straight up. Since I have an account and don’t like getting a bajillion and one emails, I honestly don’t even check the links that are emailed to me – I just go directly to the web for anything I know I want to shop.
A “linked up” picture on Instagram will look like this:
When you log into your LikeToKnow. It account now, it’ll save anything you previously liked that was “linked up,” so you can easily go back into your likes to shop things you might’ve forgotten about.
TREAT YO’SELF. It’s really that simple – making the account just lets you shop easier and more conveniently right from yo’ Instagram feed. #BlessUp.
BUT BUT BUT, if you really absolutely positively do NOT want to make an account for whatever reason, you’re not fully left outta the loop – you can click right here to shop my own “linked up” photos from Instagram, and you will NOT need an account to shop them. You can also shop via shoppable widgets in blog sidebars and through other supplementary tools from LikeToKnow. It that are commonly used. I’ve got a widget in my own sidebar, and in other various places you’ll see things that look like this:
