“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” Spoken like a true Miranda Priestly. (This is your friendly seasonal reminder to watch The Devil Wears Prada again.) Spring has finally SPRUNG – we’re looking at high 60’s all week in Pennsylvania, and I am praising the Living God for that! It’s been a hot sec since I’ve shared a straight up style post or outfit idea here, which is a sin. So I’m making up for it with a reaaaally pretty floral dress for any spring occasion on your social events calendar, or – if your calendar is still pretty sparse because duh #pandemic – the office, church, a baby or bridal shower, etc.
I wore + shared this beautiful floral dress in my last Amazon livestream amongst some affordable options for Easter. The second I saw it, I knew I needed it, and the second I put it on…I was sold.
It’s an easy, breezy, beautiful floral dress for spring, and I’m here for it. A few things to note:
- It’s lined! Bless up.
- It’s affordable! For not even $30, it’s a really great option, whether you’re wearing it to work, to Sunday brunch, or to your sister’s baby shower.
- It’s breathable! It’s a polyester dress, but it’s lightweight, has good flow, and doesn’t make you feel suffocated or sweaty (important).
Mine weirdly did not seem to come with the tie that it’s pictured with on Amazon, so not sure what that was – if I just misplaced it upon opening the package (possible) or if it never arrived (also possible). So just wanted to note that for you in case you’ve got your heart set on the waist tie in the product listing picture – ha!
Lots of options to wear this gem of a floral dress, which is good – lovelovelove when things are surprisingly versatile! Obviously you can wear by itself to the office, but throw on a blazer for a more professional look (maybe a black blazer with black pumps!), or try a jean jacket with little white sneakers to dress it down. Or, wear as is here to church or Sunday brunch and it feels super feminine and pretty! Every time I’ve worn it to date, it’s been met with “Ooooh, what a pretty dress!!!”
ALSO have to note this headband – it’s this Amazon headband from the 18-pack for $20 that I’ve raved about lately. I still can’t get over the price point for what you get – beyond getting ALL THE HEADBANDS, they’re genuinely comfortable headbands that leave me with ZERO headaches or pain, even after all-day wear, which is crazy!
AND for another trendy-but-classic accessory, this little pack of gold beaded bracelets is a winner winner chicken dinner. I JUST got them in this past week and am so impressed at the quality – they feel like some of my faves from boutiques! Beautiful to mix with other similar pieces, so great for stacking!
