Spring has *finally* sprung. And as if warmer weather isn’t already a favorite, my list of favorites has been abundant and overflowing in all the best ways lately. BUT, we brought it down to ten of *the best*.
1.)
Let me tell ya – finding cleaner skincare or snacks is a whole lot easier than swapping your deodorant. Most of the most popular deodorants are that way because they’re dual deodorant-antiperspirants; antiperspirants have aluminum to help your body not perspirate BUT have been potentially linked to increased risk of breast cancer for awhile now. Deodorants work with your body’s natural chemistry to prevent odor, buuuuuut since everyone’s body chemistry and skin is obviously very different, it can take a hot second to find the best one for your body.
I’d tried a few from influencer recommendations that just did NOT work for me – and along the way I realized my body, or at least my armpits, really don’t like baking soda as an ingredient.
Fast forward to finding this brand. It’s a woman-owned brand that launched from Shark Tank, and I first tried this scent which had me HOOKED – it’s like the perfect summer scent! But most importantly, it freaking WORKED. With most (slash all) natural deodorants, they say give it a few weeks to get your body “adjusted” to it before judging its efficacy. Well, I didn’t even need that – it started working FAST for me, so much so that I used the entire thing and restocked with this scent, which smells just like Bath & Body Works’ classic hit from the early-2000’s…minus the nasty chemicals and toxic ingredients. 😉
With over 5,000 five-star reviews, safe to say I’m not the only one it’s working for…and the price is about half what other popular non-toxic deos are going for (which is insane, I know), so grab this one for a go!
I have never jumped on a trend so fast – and this trend is IT. Layering with a long sleeve lace top has been my feminine flex this spring. It’s just darling. It’s a light, stretchy layer that instantly uplevels even the most basic graphic tee, giving it a little somethin-somethin’. I’m so into it.
They also make it sleeveless to keep the trend going as it heats up even more, which looks SO STINKIN’ SWEET under a hot shot onesie and the like.
If you’re still on the fence and/or unsure how to style, stay tuned to my Instagram soon for 10+ ways to wear it. 😉
3.) Coral hokas
How many Hokas is too many Hokas? The limit does not exist. 😉 I’m tellin’ ya, if there’s a sneaker of the season, it’s a Hoka. Specifically for me, this line is my personal favorite…they’re just absurdly comfortable but also so colorful + cute.
I’m callin’ it now: coral is the color of summer.
So I just couldn’t resist grabbing another pair in this punchy coral colorway!
4.) Amazon sunnies
Never will I ever splurge on sunglasses – it’s just not worth it to me. It’s glorified plastic, truly. And for the number of times I’m throwing a pair in a bag or in my car, it’s just not worth the risk or heartbreak of finding a lens popped or an arm broken by a teething ten-month-old. 😉 Especially for how many designer-inspired pairs are around 20 bucks on Amazon (versus $400+), it’s the way to go.
I love that these don’t have a nosepiece that gets caught in my hair (IYKYK) and they feel really solid; they also give retro while still being very wearable for everyday, which I lovelovelove.
5.) Nuttzo Mixed Nut & Seed butter
Introducing my latest Costco obsession! We picked up this stuff on a whim because we needed peanut butter – I had never seen a peanut butter so loaded with all the things. Cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds, + celtic sea salt all together for a nutty, seedy butter that I lovelovelove.
Welp, it’s delish. Add this baby on bread for the most supercharged toast – it instantly uplevels your PB&J with superfoody goodness.
6.) Abercrombie ankle straight jeans
My hunt for non-distressed straight jeans that felt “trendy” but classic and hit my ankle at *just* the right spot undoubtedly paralleled the quest for the Holy Grail. I mean, why is it so dang difficult to fit this bill?! Alas, I found this pair BUT figured I’d order them specifically to hit these qualifications; while I normally order “regular” length being 5’7″, I ordered the short in the hopes of them hitting, well, exactly where they hit on me. 🙂
I wanted to avoid any awkwardness in shoe pairing, where you’re unsure what shoes to wear so that the jeans hit the shoes right, so I wanted an almost-crop length that eliminates that issue and works with basically any footwear, especially springier selections.
So what do we think??
7.) Divi dry shampoo
If you caught my Instagram Stories earlier this week, YOU KNOW…this stuff was an immediate favorite and instant wow. I can see why it’s been sold out – it’s GOOD. My interest was initially piqued after seeing quite a few bigger content creators saying it was replacing their original favorite dry shampoo. IYKYK – I have strong opinions on the best dry shampoo, especially being a brunette. So I bought a bottle and said challenge accepted.
Turns out…the hype is real. It’s already up there with my diehard favorite, with a handful of qualities that I like even more.
There’s no chalky residue or white case, it smells amazing, but most importantly, it WORKS. It’s also formulated cleaner than most dry shampoos in that it’s free of Benzene, talc, butane and propane.
My friend Stephanie wrote this absolute gem of a book that just released THIS WEEK, and if you’re in your 20’s or 30’s…you probably need it. She’s an expert in the “Everything Era” – that pressure-packed decade-ish where most of your life’s most defining and monumental moments and decisions happen. BUT, most significantly, she’s an expert not in helping you live a life that looks like hers (or anyone else’s, for that matter), but rather, in helping you create the life that looks best for YOU. I’ll admit, it takes a lot to impress me nowadays with nonfiction books. Most I end up not finishing or just passively skim through – not this one.
When I first got Steph’s book to prepare for our podcast together (which, spoiler alert, is one of my favorite episodes we’ve ever done EVER in five years! Go listen!), I caught myself just reading and reading instead of prepping. Her writing brings you in and she’s relatable and funny but also just genuinely HELPFUL and interesting, and it’s something you’ll get something from even if you’ve already made a handful of those “biggy” decisions (like me).
9.) Gold bead choker necklace amazon
My parents gifted me this necklace for my birthday and I am OBSESSED – I’ve been wearing it all month long. It doesn’t tarnish and layers so well with other more traditional chains for a cool “textured” necklace stack, which I lovelovelove. Mine is the 4 mm 16 inch chain.
To note, it’s a thicker, sturdier feeling necklace, so it’s a lot more babyproof than daintier chains. IYKYK. 😉 Jonah often makes a sudden grab for my neckwear, so this one is especially nice for avoiding instant heart attacks. HA.
1o.) Walmart blue dress
To say I instantly gasped upon putting this on my body is an understatement. What a fabulous, fabulous dress. The fabric, the fit, the flow – all the feels! It’s a wonderfully buttery material that doesn’t wrinkle – you can literally throw it on a ball on the floor and pick it up, put it on and go. But the pleating is subtle and beautiful. It’s got an elastic waistband with an adjustable tie, a flattering neckline, and such fantastic movement in the body…I kept saying I felt like an actual queen all day wearing it. It also hits at a great spot where you don’t feel limited or inhibited at all when walking, which is v important to me (especially since I’m always flying around AND usually chasing children).
For the price point, it’s an actual shock and an instant add-to-cart.
It’s an instant eye catcher, noted by how many compliments I’ve gotten wearing it! It looks designer, but on a Walmart budget. We love to see it (+ shop it).
