You know those mornings when you wake up and no amount of coffee will sustain you? …Today is that day. It has felt like Thursday for the past three days. To top it off, Miss Olivia has decided affirmatively that she is D-O-N-E with her NG tube. I mean, I don’t blame her – mommy and daddy have been “done” with it since February. 😉 But girlfriend has about HAD IT, so much so that absolutely no method of taping, sticking, or adhering the dang tube to her poor little face will stop her from figuring out how to swiftly rip it right off. I mean, she will take SKIN off with it and not even make a peep, so long as the tube comes out – she’ll only cry when it’s time to put it back in. At this point, J + I have replaced an NG tube more times than we can count, and we’re hitting record speed. If there are any NICUs out there who need extra parental hands on deck for tube replacements, we are here for it. Who’s hiring? 😉

ANYHOO, because of the little extra drama in our morning (keeps life interesting 😉 ), I didn’t get to finish today’s blog post until *ahem* right now (whoops). So we’re feelin’ it, folks. WEARING // My favorite . As seen last year, back at it again. I could not be gladder that I pulled a TREAT YO’SELF on this thing. It’s such a unique statement piece while still feeling classic and timeless. You can dress it up AND down, and it’s a total showstopper. It’s marked as currently unavailable, but I’ve got a good feeling it’s coming back in stock, so stay tuned…until then, a distressed version that’s half the price is here, and a similar version that’s also in my closet is here! Also wearing my 20 Amazon closet staples, because they’re all BOMB, affordable, + easy wears. From the Lululemon lookalike leggings to the polka dot swing dress, to the fun bodysuit and striped romper under $20, I’ve got the whole thing on repeat. ALSO ALSO these shoes. I know there are a bunch to choose from, but really, I’m wearing all of the above since they all run the gamut of occasions + reasons why you’d need them this season. Lastly, not wearing yet, but cannot WAIT to wear my new Amazon swimsuits. All 10 of ’em. I mean, they were all under $30, so heck, I might buy 10 more. 😉 HA JK, don’t worry Mom!

MAKING // A list and checking it twice of everything upcoming. These next few months are going to be sheer chaos around these rosy parts. And beyond, since we’re in such a fun phase with Olivia and it’ll only get more fun once the tube can be removed once and for all. Maybe also making a countdown to that? Because LORDY, what a joyous day that will be.

WISHING // I could have a full night of sleep for the first time in a long time. Wishful thinking, though…

LISTENING TO // The Riverdale “Heathers” soundtrack. Can we just have a moment of silence for Cole Sprouse’s singing voice?! I mean, holy jamalama. What a long way from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I wasn’t familiar with the musical Heathers before the Riverdale episode, but now everything is stuck in my head. Also Broods’ new album. We had a date night last week to see them perform live – they sing the song “Peach” that I’ve jammed out to in many a car ride! J and I used to see little band gigs and small venue performances all the time in our B.C. days (before the child – ha!), so it was fun to do that again.

WATCHING // The Sixers crush NBA playoffs. Also watched a John Mulaney standup show on Netflix last night and laughed until we cried. 10/10 recommend.

CRUSHING ON // The little baby swimsuits I picked up from Target for Olivia’s Easter Basket. Her OT had this idea from her own kids – putting a little swimmy in their Easter basket every year since swimming season is right around the corner – and I lovelovelove it. But instead of one…I got three. Whoops. In my defense, they’re just so dang cute () and I have no clue how much Liv will grow between now and summertime, since she’s still smaller from being premature, but growing so fast. So, we shall see – and until then, got all three. And then her Mimi (aka my mom) got her another. And then I bought . So you KNOW summer needs to get here STAT because this household is ready.

EATING // Chicken fried rice from TJ’s. Y’all know it’s a total favorite of mine. So I made us trek out yonder to good ol’ Trader Joe’s to stock up on not one, not two, but five bags of the stuff. I know we had bought a mini freezer for the garage when I was pumping, but now it has ever so conveniently transitioned to a hub of frozen fried rice. Not mad about it.

IGNORING // The pile of “delicates” laundry in my basket needing doing. My motto: Save water ’til you’ve run outta undies. ?

EXCITED FOR // The four bags of 50% off easter candy sitting on my kitchen counter as we speak. I could’ve just stuck with one like a reasonable human being, but I am neither reasonable nor a dumb cookie. After Easter, buy one of every flavor.

THINKING ABOUT // Scheduling a hair appointment to lop off some dead ends + start fresh for spring. Spring cleaning at its finest, amiright? Also now thinking about jellybeans and how badly I want some. RESIST, E…

SCHEDULING // A huuuuuugely exciting trip this summer with J. If it ends up happening, it’ll be our first time away from Olivia (not counting NICU time), and I honestly don’t know if we can even emotionally handle it. Ha! But our other majorly exciting trip for the summer is a big family beach trip! We rented our friends’ beach house for a week and are STOKED. Besides her sweet little swimmies, I can’t wait to see how Olivia reacts to the sand and water. She’s such a fan of bathtime now, and I was always a total waterbug, so I’m guessing she’s going to be a big, big fan.

GRATEFUL FOR // Olivia Grace. What an adorable, sweet, funny, perfect little peanut.

PROCRASTINATING WITH // Season 5 of Schitt’s Creek. But technically not procrastinating anymore, since we finished that up FAST. Now, I’m at procrastination station with spring cleaning. Meaning, I just want to clean everything instead of working. I mean, answer urgent emails or go through my entire jewelry collection at 11 am on a Wednesday…sensical, right?

DREAMING ABOUT // Those dang jellybeans. Time to grab a handful. If it were Monday I’d have willpower, but it’s already Thursday and on Thursday’s the motto is TREAT YO’SELF.
