Hey hey hey – Happy FriYAY! And happy end of June…where the HECK did time go?! Wowzas. Super stoked to bring ya this month’s edition of Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove, cos some changes are a-happenin’! Namely that the series has gotten a makeover! Month after month, I was finding myself with a much longer list of both favorite things AND favorite links all worth sharing, and it felt hard/wrong to only be sharing 5 of each with y’all when they could potentially be really valuable/interesting/useful/worthwhile reads for ya, and/or your own new favorite things, too.
SO.
This series is now broken in two. Today, we’ve got Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove, the Monthly Favorite edition, with a roundup of the 10 THINGS I’ve been loveloveloving this month. Links will be coming tomorrow, as well as every single weekend in the months hereafter, with 15 links to read, shop, + lovelovelove. So far I’ve got at LEAST a month’s worth of hella awesome links picked out to share with ya, so brace yo’selves – it’s gonna be good.
Today we’ve got everything from beauty products to food, to clothes to accessories and random ish in between. So let’s do the damn thing!
1.)
This has been a favorite for as long as I’ve had it, so I’m hella surprised I hadn’t talked about it more until now – I first tried this bad boy I think a few summers ago! It Cosmetics has been one of my favorite beauty brands since my very first product of theirs. I just lovelovelove their dedication to creating fabulous makeup without sacrificing skincare – they really integrate skincare within your makeup, which is as it should be! This stuff in particular is formulated with a proprietary Anti-Aging Armour Rejuvenating Concentrate AND SPF 50+, so it works to help prevent collagen damage + hyperpigmentation that can come from sun exposure (bad). It’s also infused with their Skin-Perfecting Technology, peptides, niacin, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid AND antioxidants, so it’s basically giving you perfection on your face. Bless.
Also in case you’re all into the science behind it all like me, in their clinical tests, 100% of folks measured an increase in hydration, 96% saw soft + smooth skin, 85% saw improvement in texture, and 73% said their skin felt younger + healthier. Bless, bless, aaaaaaaand bless.
2.)
Sugarfix is one of the greatest things in Target, I’m convinced. Also clearly I’m on a big Target kick? No judgment. Baublebar pieces are SO CUTE + SO FUN, but are definitely pricier than their Target line – so it’s hella nice to be able to spend less than $15 on a just-as-cute pair of tassel earrings for summer. Enough to justify another pair. And a pair for your girlfriend. And sister. And mom. And more for yourself. And suddenly you’re walking out of Target having spent $200 and you have the one thing you went in for and 32 other random AF things that you didn’t really need. 😉
3.)
Another impulse buy for the win, because can YOU walk past Target’s shoe section without stopping for a hot sec?
Didn’t think so. 😉 Or if you can, you’re a much stronger woman than I. Ha! I immediately fell for these gems because they are literal gems – I swear I have actual shiny object syndrome. They’re super comfy slides that look really flattering on + go with pretty much anything! AND they come in black, too. Only $22.99!
4.)
This thing has been on #repeat since it first came home with me. I had had a leftover LOFT gift card from something or another in my purse, and happened to stumble past a LOFT in the mall one day when there was a big sale happening – and it was marked down to $25. Turned out, I had $27 on my card, so they gave me the dress AND two bucks back. Essentially LOFT paid ME to buy this dress, I’m convinced. 😉
It unfortunately sold out online SO FAST, but my fingers are crossed for a re-stock. Until then, I’m in no shortage of t-shirt dresses; if ya caught my Instastories try-on session earlier in the week, I casually have 8-9 new additions as of late, with a few more favorites already in my closet. So here’s the few that I tried on specifically on my Stories, ICYMI, + a few more on their way to mama as we speak 😉 :
WOW WOW WOW I can’t even begin to express my fascinationg with + love of this book just yet. My copy is highlighted out the wazoo and I have a running list of ideas + quotes + good things to share with y’all STAT, because friends help friends have 4-hour workweeks, too. 😉
Really, my head is spinning re: this book and I can’t put together a quick synopsis without wanting to just divulge ALL the details. But Tim Ferriss has successfully pulled off creating a “dream” life for himself, working ~4 hours a week and making BANK, traveling the world, doing only what he loveloveloves. In the book, he goes into his “time management” (or lack thereof) methods and what exactly he does (+ doesn’t do) to create the life most folks only ever dream about living.
Aveda’s Toning Mist has been a part of my morning skincare routine for MONTHS on end now. So much so that when I was about to run out and the team saw that on Instastories, they sent over two more bottles, cos girlfriend can’t live without her toning mist! Ha! It’s a cool, refreshing mist to help hydrate + balance your skin while minimizing surface oil build-up (so, great for normal-oily skinned girls like me!). It’s got white oak, witch hazel, + peppermint inside to act as a mild astringent, so it’s a really great pickmeup to start the day – especially if you want to ensure you’re oil-free before applying makeup!
7.) Stuffed cherry peppers
These bad boys have been a favorite for a long time, but I feel like they just came back into my life fullforce like an old friend. And I was SO glad when I posted them on my Instastories and you guys all responded like YAAAAAAS THEY’RE SO GOOD OMNOMNOM. They’re just cherry peppers stuffed with prosciutto + provolone cheese, but they are magical. *Sometimes* you get a spicier one, so be warned – but if you’ve got a lick of Italian in ya, and/or you’ve just got a thing for Italian food (guilty aaaaaaand guilty), I def recommend. I buy mine in the olive bar section of the grocery store, but some places have them as “specialty” items, especially if you go somewhere like an Italian market!
8.)
I had absolutely zero need for new pajamas. Zero. Zilch. And yet, these ended up in my cart, along with another pair of lemon-printed PJ’s justbecause. What can I say? I just cannot for the sweet life of me pass up on a pair of squishy soft anything. They’re just the best fabric that doesn’t really wrinkle at all and is just SO comfy you wish you could reasonably wear ’em 24/7 without being judged.
And also, Target. No self control.
9.)
This liner was an impulse buy in a recent Tarte sale, where it was just over $60 for $200+ worth of beauty goodies. And of course, I couldn’t resist. 😉 I figured a fun, bright liner for summer would be super cute, especially since it’s waterproof! It’s a suuuuuuper soft, cream-gel formula, so you can use it to create a crisper line or cateye, OR you can actually blend it out for a more opaque shadow look. Personally, I stick to lining with it and just do a fun swipe or cateye on my upper lid, and it does the trick! It’s formulated with Amazonian clay + mineral pigments, it’s longwearing, waterproof, AND smudgeproof. Also tested by ophthalmologists + dermatologists, and is oil free.
Actually, since this specific fun blue is a limited edition color, it’s on sale for $15 – normallyis $21, but in more “normal” shades. 😉
10.)
As seen in my Best Jeans under $100 post! These jeans honestly just give me life. They’re a part of Rachel Parcell’s clothing line, but by the brand Flying Monkey. I was SO beyond impressed from the second I pulled ’em on, so much so that I wore them 3 days in a row after that. They come already feeling like your favorite worn-in pair, with juuuuust enough distressing. Really, I think the distressing feels a bit like boyfriend jeans, but it’s a skinnier fit that’s generally more figure-flattering.
Have you tried any of my Monthly Favorites yet yourself? Thoughts on this new format for Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove?
Make sure to come back bright n’ early tomorrow morning to catch the weekly Weekend Reading – it’ll pair *perfectly* with your morning coffee to start Saturday strong, so don’t miss it! 😉
P.S. If ya need a quick meal tonight, highly recommend one of these. If ya need a yummy snack/drink combo for on-the-go, try these. And if ya need an extra $1,000 for a shopping spreed…you’re not alone. 😉 But this should help!
