It’s not often that I find myself with a handful of new beauty products in my makeup bag. There have been so many hot launches for summer, so I stocked up on a few viral products for a light, dewy glow for the season. My summer makeup mantra is *always* “less is more,” so I go pretty bareboned with just a few essentials with a focus on SPF + solid skincare. These 5 new summer beauty finds have been on lock so far this season, and since I find myself constantly reaching for them + recommending them to my girlfriends offline, I figured it was *about damn time* to share with you, too. Cue Lizzo. 😉
This was something I did walk away with in St. Louis, and I’ll be forever grateful – what a great product, from both a skincare AND makeup perspective. It’s an award-winning foundation that’s equal parts serum, SPF, and skin tint, with light coverage AND sun protection.
What I lovelovelove: it’s mineral SPF, so it’s clean while protecting against UVA, UVB, UVC, blue light, and pollution.
It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid, squalane, and niacinamide to help improve your skin every time you wear it while locking in moisture, plumping your skin, and boosting antioxidant effectiveness by 200%.
It gives light, dewy coverage, perfect for summertime. I will absolutely be re-purchasing once I run out!
I had heard rave reviews about this mascara but am typically skeptical of expensive mascaras since there are so many fabulous options at the drugstore. After receiving it in PR I gave it a go and literally GASPED in the mirror – it’s incredible.
My favorite thing is the wand – it’s curved to give you great lash lift and keeps your lashes separated while adding length + volume without any clumps. No flaking or undereye smudging, either, and great all-day wear.
Apparently, in a panel of 103 women: 95% saw instant lash lift, 94% saw instant volume, and 90% saw clump-free lashes. My experience has been the same – totally loveloveloving it for a quick, easy lifted lash that lasts all day, through sweat, salt and summertime surf (aka the backyard kiddy pool). 😉
This photo is totally unedited and the ONLY thing I have on is mascara on one eyeball so that you can see the difference compared totally bare lashes…
For a drugstore setting spray, this stuff is impressive. While I’m normally a big Urban Decay or Iconic London setting spray girl, this stuff still gives me all-day wear and a little dewy glow – at only 10 bucks, instead of $30+. It’s also got coconut, green tea, + cucumber inside to hydrate the skin, and the mist is nice and fine.
I didn’t know about this viral gem until our girls trip to STL – Chels went to grab the last wand in Sephora, and the employee told me they sold out of all ten in stock that very morning. Apparently, they can’t keep this stuff on the shelves – and for good reason. It’s a gorgeous liquid highlight, “high blush” that makes for a gorgeous summer glow. Especially since I lighten up my routine for summer, a multi-purposed product is key – and this wand in Pinkgasm makes for a great highlight-blush.
It’s dewy and a little goes a long way – I just use my damp beauty blender and apply on my cheekbone for a slightly sunkissed glow.
I took a photo in direct sunlight to really see the “glowgasm” at work – with ZERO photo editing, filtering, etc of any kind on either photo. Straight from my iPhone to your eyeballs, so that you can see how it applies versus how it looks blurred/blended out, for that gorgeous sunkissed glow.
Again, not a SINGLE edit, filter, Lightroom Preset etc to this photo – just straight from my phone so that you can see a totally clear look of how the blush looks/sits on my skin!
Let me start this bullet point off with a quick disclaimer: I got the wrong shade. LOL. I was overambitious in my self-tanning goals for summer…that, and this was the only close-ish shade in stock for me at the time since I snagged it on sale. HA. BUT, while I wait for a better-for-me color to arrive in the mail, I still wanted to share, as I really like the formula; it’s a medium-to-fuller coverage foundation, likened to a skin tint, brightening glow serum, and SPF 40 all in one. I will say, it’s definitely a heavier formula than the Ilia skin tint, but I think a bit lighter weight than the OG CC+ cream formulas (which I lovelovelove + wear year-round for fuller coverage).
It’s loaded with great ingredients for hydration, brightening, reducing the appearance of dark spots, big pores, and rough texture, and also protecting against UVA/UVB rays.
Have you tried any of these summer beauty finds yet?
Anything else you’ve grabbed that’s been especially worth it for a gorgeous dewy glow?
