Operation Beautiful #12

*HAPPY SUNDAY! Phew, what a weekend. We danced the night away at a wedding last night where there, like, 37 dessert options I swear. So today we’re making up for it by running errands out the wazoo…and seeing Inside Out. Have any of you seen it yet??? Let me know what you thought of it in a comment down below!

P.S. Get on the Coming Up Roses insider list by putting your name and email in the little pop-up down below, because something fun is hitting your inbox TONIGHT. Peace and blessin’s.

For 2015 and for always, you need to change.

But I’m not talking about changing your weight or your love of chocolate – I’m talking about your love of yourself. So often, we fill ourselves with self-deprecating thoughts. I’m not pretty. I’m not that smart. I’m just not that great. And I’m definitely not beautiful.

You’re wrong.

First things first: you are beautiful. And this is an operation to prove it. Introducing: Operation Beautiful. Where we celebrate the beauty in each and every one of us. Now let’s hop to it – these girlies are fan-freakin-tastic.

Savannah is a literal ray of sunshine. Check out her musings here.

I feel most beautiful when…I’m in my boyfriend’s truck on a hot summer day, with the windows rolled down and our favorite song blaring and his hand on my leg. Or when I’ve just gotten back from a long day of babysitting and I look in the mirror, with spit up on my shirt and no makeup, because I know that the babies I care for love me no matter what and they look up to me. Or when I finally nail the messy bun, because my hair is a mane that isn’t easily dealt with.

My favorite physical feature is my…Hair. Although it has a mind of its own, it is wild and wavy and I have nightmares about ever cutting or changing it.

Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My sensitivity and awareness. I am sensitive of someone else’s feelings and always careful when I speak. I am aware of my surroundings, always listening and observing, therefore accepting of everyone I meet.

I’m happiest when…Holding a cute baby, hanging out with my crazy, big, Southern family, singing or going on lunch dates with my boyfriend, doing anything outside, reading wedding blogs, and when there’s a big bouquet of flowers in my apartment.

Go read a bit on Jennifer’s online space…and tell her how she radiates!

I feel most beautiful when…I am naked. Seriously, it is so freeing to me. So healing. So natural. We oftentimes get caught up in trying to perfect or hide out bodies. I embrace and love mine in its most natural state.

My favorite physical feature are my…Eyes.

Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My tendency to say the things everyone is thinking. I love how raw and blunt I am.

I’m happiest when…I am surrounded by loved ones. When I am laughing a true belly laugh. When I am writing. When I am dancing. When I am exploring and traveling. When I am reading a book and getting lost in the pages for hours. When I am LIVING life to the fullest.

Check out Eleigh’s website and tell her she’s beautiful!

I feel most beautiful when…I make it a point to keep track of my health physically, mentally and emotionally (because I can be a slob sometimes), maintain my daily routine, keep busy and most of all, have my boyfriend tell me I’m a goddess even without make up and shower.

My favorite physical features are my…Eyes and legs. I have blurry vision and my legs are crooked but what I love most about them is that beyond the imperfection, I have learned to see beyond the physical and live like a legend. (Leg, get it? LOL) 🙂

Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My extremely calm personality. Sometimes, my excitement does not translate into how people usually react when excited, and I just love how that confuses people. I also like when in times of crisis or things messing up, I don’t panic or get angry easily.

I’m happiest when…A lot of things make me happy like when people buy the stuff I make, when I do something brave for once, or when I get to hang out with my friends I haven’t seen in forever, etc. but I’m happiest before I go to sleep when I get to recollect everything wonderful that happened that day.
