*For as long as I get responses, Operation Beautiful will be a regular weekend thing, because you’re all beautiful and I just can’t get enough of sharing these with you. (So encourage the beautiful women in your life to send in responses!
For 2015 and for always, you need to change.
But I’m not talking about changing your weight or your love of chocolate – I’m talking about your love of yourself. So often, we fill ourselves with self-deprecating thoughts. I’m not pretty. I’m not that smart. I’m just not that great. And I’m definitely not beautiful.
First things first: you are beautiful. And this is an operation to prove it. Introducing: Operation Beautiful. Where we celebrate the beauty in each and every one of us. Now let’s hop to it – these girlies are fan-freakin-tastic.
I feel most beautiful when…My husband tenderly draws me close and whispers how stunning I look. Or when he gives me that special smile that says, “Hey, I love you. A lot. I appreciate you, and I treasure you.” Or when I wake up with bedhead and unbrushed teeth, and he stares like he’s never seen me before and tells me I am the most beautiful woman in the world. I feel most beautiful when the sun is shining, I’m clean, and doing something productive. When I’m focused on something I’m passionate about. When I’ve done something good for someone else. When I’m snuggling a baby or spending quality time with a child. And when I’m all dressed up for a night of dancing!
My favorite physical feature is my…Nose. I loooooooove my nose! It’s so cute and buttony and little! Perfectly sized for me. 😉
Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My genuine desire for others’ happiness and well being. I love that I love seeing other people happy and doing what small things I can to help them get there.
I’m happiest when…I’m with people I love. I’m also happiest out in the mountains, eating really good food, or listening to music that is so incredibly powerful that I can’t help but cry. I’m happiest when I read my scriptures and when I have truly profound, tender spiritual experiences. I’m happiest when I feel God’s love for me.
I feel most beautiful when…I complete a full body exfoliation after a long bath or shower.
My favorite physical feature are my…lips. I used to hate them but now I love them because the scars they carry tell a story.
Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My ability to encourage people from different walks of life.
I’m happiest when…I am in the midst of creation with people that I love.
I feel most beautiful when…I’m around people who accept me and appreciate me for who I am.
My favorite physical feature is my…My legs. They are probably the most toned and in-shape part of my entire body and always have been. Plus I love wearing dresses and showing them off!
Something non-physical that I love about myself is…My tenacity. When the going gets tough, I keep going. ‘No’ is never the final answer. It just means find another way. No matter how tough it gets, I always pursue what is most important to me.
I’m happiest when…I’m giving back to others. Making someone’s day puts a smile on my face and makes my heart glow.
