Happy HUMP, girlfriend! This week is a ~blur~. I’ve been hinting continuously on Instastories on some projects I’ve been tackling behind-the-scenes – that project is mainly BossPitch, and it’s been my baby again for the past few months as some MAJOR updates + things are happening in preparation for another launch *so soon*. It’s always been something that folks could just enroll in whenever floats their boat (I mean hey, when ya wanna learn ya wanna learn!), but it’s also always something that I’m working on since I’m the biggest perfectionist on the planet when it comes to things like this. 😉 And since I didn’t fully anticipate what it would be like doing a big project re-launch at 31 weeks pregnant…the 16 hour days are getting to me a WEE bit. Ha. SO, apologies in advance if anyone has noticed one less post or so every week – I’m *forcing* myself to be a little shorter n’ sweeter this week (I say that, but here we are with another 1,000+ word blog post – ha!), for the sake of my sanity. Cool? Cool. I knew you’d understand. 😉
Moving on to today’s Trend to Try: LEOPARD.
Basically, the best trend on the face of the planet.
And not really a trend, because leopard is always in style.
Leopard is life. Leopard is a neutral. Leopard is ERRR’WHERE in my own closet, and really should be in yours, too.
It is the way, the truth, and the life…Oh wait – that’s Jesus.
But leopard, too. It’s the style way, truth, and life, and I’ve been a diehard fan from Day One.
LEOPARD PRINT
(on sale for $35! I’m wearing size M to accommodate le bump – I’d say runs TTS otherwise.) // (on sale for 33% off, making ’em under $100 – WOO! I stayed TTS. They come in 3 colors, all great options for fall!) // Plumping Liquid Lipstick in shade “Smoked Sherry” (This is a new makeup find for me and so far I’m *impressed* – it tingles a bit upon application since it’s plumping, but the formula is fabulous, great color payoff, all day wear – can’t complain!) // (c/o – as seen in last month’s Monthly Favorites post!)
is one I am SO DANG GLAD I picked up this season. It’s so lightweight + breezy, making it a perfect transitional piece while we still straddle these weird is-it-summer-or-is-it-fall temperatures. Makes for perfect layering, too, with your fave fall cardigan as things are warm but get cool as the day/night progresses. ALSO, it’s on sale for only $35, which I am HERE FOR. I’m wearing a size Medium to accommodate le bump, but otherwise it runs TTS! I paired with right now that were a Nordstrom Anniversary Sale find this year; they’re currently on sale for under $100, which is awesome. And they come in 3 fall-friendly colors, which is ALSO awesome. Super comfy, walkable style for the season, so I highly recommend picking up a pair for a fun twist on typical booties!
NOW.
The “how to rock it,” “how to shop it” that typically accompanies Trend to Try posts around these rosy parts doesn’t reaaaaaally apply as much, since the limit does not exist when it comes to a good leopard print. It’s everywhere, and for good reason. Tops, sweaters, scarves, bags, shoes, hats, phone cases, throw pillows – if it exists, throw a leopard print on it and call it a good day.
So today’s Trend to Try will get a sliiiiiiight modification with two quick tips to apply REGARDLESS of how/when/where/why you’re rocking leopard.
1.) When utilizing as a “pop” print. Keep its surroundings neutral. Since leopard print IS a print comprised of otherwise neutral colors (tans, black, beiges, browns, etc), if you want IT to be the pop of an outfit or in a room, the rest of your color palette should be solid + subdued and in neutral tones that will let the leopard do its thaaaang.
2.) When utilizing as a neutral. Because leopard print is a neutral. 😉 Embrace color, baby! Really consider the fact that leopard print is a print of NEUTRALS. You can pair with beautiful, rich jewel tones (think cobalt blue, emerald green, royal purple), or bold warm hues (a deep burgundy, rich cranberry, burnt orange) and have everything feel a bit more stylish.
I have SO MANY leopard print picks I just had to share with y’all in case you’re half as obsessed with the trend as I am this season. But before that, I pulled a few specific products to highlight, since they’re either on sale (woo!), or just a hella good leopard print pick to mention. And friends don’t let friends miss out. 🙂

[ezcol_1half_end class=”shopping-content”]This is just one of those sweaters where you can’t hit “ADD TO CART” fast enough. First off, how stinkin’ cute. Second, how stinkin’ soft. Third, how stinkin’ on sale – it’s currently on sale for 40% off, making it $41.40 with code COZY40 at checkout. You can bet your bottom dollah that this bad boy is coming home to mama – I can’t wait to style it a little oversized over my bump! Also lovelovelove that it comes in the black leopard print, but also a light beige that’s SO pretty + subtle. Perfect if you’re just tryna dip your toes in this trend before diving right in.

[ezcol_1half_end class=”shopping-content”]It’s like the rain gods heard every basic betch’s cry for MORE LEOPARD and made it HAPPEN this season. Bless. Up. But really, leopard print Hunter boots is really just where it’s at. How many rainboots does one girl need? IDK, but I’m about to have more than one pair, so we’ll find out… 😉

[ezcol_1half_end class=”shopping-content”]A good pair of leopard print pants is an ideal time to try your hand at leopard in both neutral and pop setting! Pair with all neutrals on top/bottom to keep the palette going, and then mix things up by trying a bold colored sweater on top, or – wait for it – print mixing! Add a subtle, thin-striped top in the same color palette as the pants for something really fun. These in particular I had to include here, since they’re normally 80 bucks…and they’re for $39.50 right now! #bless

[ezcol_1half_end class=”shopping-content”]OK…can we talk about how dang FUN these tights are?!?!?! I had *such* a tights phase back in the day, but these make me wanna bring. ’em. BACK. yo. They’re Kate Spade, so that helps. 😉 Such a classy, chic accessory. And an affordable way to add leopard to your look, since they’re only 25 bucks!

[ezcol_1half_end class=”shopping-content”]If these look familiar…they should! I bought last season and loveloveLOVED with a passion reminiscent to my lovelovelove for a good pink lipstick, French vanilla latte, or The Bachelor franchise. Guys…they are worth EVERY PENNY. They’re the comfiest loafers I own, hands down. You can wear all day long with NO blisters, rub marks, or discomfort. And, if you’re still not convinced that leopard is worthwhile (what are you even doing here? I KID, I KID, all are welcome 😉 ), they come in approximately that are worth your while. I’m getting the *second* they come back in my size!
Also, HUUUUUGE SALE ALERT – they launched in a new leopard print this season specifically, and it’s for a hot sec. So, snatch ’em while ya can, because I am 100% positive these will sell out and/or hop right back up to full price v. soon!
[/ezcol_1half_end] [/ezdiv]
AND NOW, 50+ leopard print pieces to #AddToCart. Maybe go a few at a time, if you don’t want your husband thinking something is going on with the UPS man. 😉
