5 Easy Pierogy Recipes

Being part-Polish, I grew up eating pierogies. For an easy and delicious option, I always have a box of Mrs. T's pierogies in my freezer!

To prepare them, there's always the classic "butter and onions." If you'd like something a little different, here are a few easy and crowd=pleasing recipes!

General Tso's.  These take 20 minutes to prepare. Fry them in butter, coat them in General Tso's sauce, and garnish them with sesame seeds and scallions.

Oven Toasted Pierogies. 30 minutes. Coat pierogies in breadcrumbs and herbs, bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown, serve with marinara sauce and/or ranch dressing.

Garden Fresh Pierogy Primavera. 35 minutes. Cook pierogies in a skillet. Take them out and continue to cook garlic and onions, before adding the rest of your veggies. Add 1/2 cup chicken broth, tomatoes, lemon zest, and pierogies.

Pierogy Nachos. 21 minutes. Make pico de gallo and guacamole. Cook pierogies. Sprinkle with black beans and cheese. Broil on an oven-safe nacho plate until cheese is melted and bubbly. Top with pico, guac, and if you'd like, jalapeños.
