I have always loved giving gifts. To me it's always been more important to GIVE the perfect gift than to RECEIVE the perfect gift. But gifts aren't my love language, so here are a few things I do to become a better gift giver.
Keep a note on your phone for gift ideas. I have a note on my phone to write down things people talk about or things that make me think of them.
Start a gift closet (or drawer, basket, etc) at home for universal gift ideas. Sometimes you need a gift quickly, so during sales I like to stock up on a few universal gift options to keep on hand.
A few universal gift ideas: 🎁 Clean candle 🎁 Coffee mug & coffee grounds 🎁 Thriving tumbler
Plan ahead for holidays, birthdays, etc. The previously mentioned note will come in handy here, especially if you have personalized lists per person. Check off items once you've gifted them!
Don't limit yourself to tangible products! Experiences can be the very best presents. My brother and I give each other Broadway tickets for our birthdays and spend a day in the city. It makes birthday shopping easier and we get to spend time together!
When in doubt, go for an easy win or obvious need. Everyone likes (and can use!) cash, Find a fun way to give it to them! If the recipient lives in their $20 Walmart slippers, buy them Uggs. You can also ask someone what they're looking for or what they need.
