For Thanksgiving, I wanted to mix + match new tableware with old for a sentimental feel. For the new, I used a few pieces from Mackenzie Childs.
The most special thing to me about this Thanksgiving tablescape is how we incorporated meaning in small details. The Pfaltzgraff plates are part of a set I inherited from my dad's mom. We pull them out for holidays and it's like she's here with us.
I loved the Courtly Check line from Mackenzie Childs since I first saw it, but it's pricey so I could never justify buying the entire line. Instead, I pick up one or two pieces seasonally to grow a collection.
I think it's so special and realistic to mix the old with the new and combine family pieces with newer, trendier pieces.
Another special touch: the gold leaves and sparkly gold gauze are leftover from our wedding!
The faux-floral hurricanes were under $10 a piece at Walmart! I just added pillar candles.
The wine glasses were a housewarming gift from my parents.
Our Thanksgiving tablescape feels equal parts eclectic and classic with warm tones and cozy elements that just feel like family.
