Happy NEW YEAR, friends! How are you feeling about it? Are you so glad to move forward? Feeling bittersweet about what’s being left behind? I, for one, am ready to put 2024 in the past and welcome ’25 warmly. But we can’t fully enter the new year without leaving some love for the last…enter, the last month’s Cool Sh*t. Featuring ten favorite things I’ve been loveloveloving December and beyond – let’s go.
This was THE HIT of Christmas this year (besides baby Jesus, bless up)! I had a mama hunch that Jonah man would be OBSESSED with this thing, and sure enough…we could’ve just stopped Christmas morning here. Ha. He rode it no less than 4,972 times and does it himself forwards, backwards, you name it. Olivia likes riding it too, which is fun if you have siblings…it says up to age five, but Liv is under the weight limit and enjoys it thoroughly, too.

2.) Amazon boots
I saw these recommended by a girlfriend and quickly added to cart because your girl was in want/need of heeled brown boots…but not TOO heeled, you know? The heel height on these is ideal for actual walking. 😉 They’re comfortable and chic – a classic staple.

The longer midi length is really pretty and chic and it’s an overall polished-yet-casual option that dresses up OR down, which I lovelvoelove. But my favorite element is the fabric feel – it’s a soft, STRETCHY denim. So it’s beyond comfortable and not a rigid or uncomfortable jean feel.
The cinching at the waist, the buttons…just the whole thing is fabulous and flattering.

4.) Shark VacMop
I had my heart set on the bestselling Tineco mop-vacuum for a hot second, but my brain was not set on the price. When I saw this one highly recommended (sworn by, really) at a FRACTION of the price, I couldn’t NOT give it a go! We’re big Shark vacuum people in the Gwynn house, so I had high hopes.
Turns out…rightfully so. This VacMop is IT, y’all. It’s so good for quick cleans that are *thorough* since you can get the mop spritz and vacuum functionality at the same time…a total gamechanger.

5.) Play sink
We had Olivia’s play sink for YEARS before the motor ultimately died…and girlfriend got her dollar’s worth out of that thing. It was played with hard and well loved, so we knew a new one would likely be in our future. Turns out, Jonah is now in his sink-obsessed phase; I had him in his toddler tower for a solid 45 minutes at the kitchen sink last month, so our water bill knew it was time. 😉
This thing is adorable. It’s made great, is gender neutral, and gives you some solid independent play time. (And Olivia immediately jumped on it with Jonah, so anywhere from 18 months to 6 years old and then some.

6.) Diamond bracelet from J
J truly spoiled me this Christmas…dude went with diamonds. I’ll take it, I’ll take it. 😉 He went with this gorgeous diamond bolo bracelet from Kay – I cannot find it on their website for the life of me but will update if/when I do!
I lovelovelove how dainty it looks since I wear it everyday now, but it’s still a gorgeous flash of sparkle. The varying diamond shape is different, too, and I’m simply obsessed.
7.) Gracie Abrams
I am on SUCH a Gracie Abrams listening kick lately, I had to include! So much so that I get hooked on a song and then hyperfixate at my piano until I’ve got it learned by ear, at which point I annoy everyone in my household with the same song 42 times until I’m onto the next. 😉 If you like Taylor Swift meets Olivia Rodrigo meets Noah Kahan vibes, she’s your next it girl!
8.) Miraculous Medal necklace
Mimi and Papa got me the prettiest Miraculous Medal necklace for Christmas; my request had been one that feels funkier, so this cool pendant design hit the nail on the head. I also lovelovelove that it’s on a box chain because they’re virtually indestructible. 😉
9.) Grape cutter
Every toddler mom’s must have. I thought it would feel super gimmicky so I held off on getting one for awhile, until I found one for something like $4 and figured I’d see if it was worthwhile. For a mom of a grape monster, just do it. You can cut a handful of grapes in literally 10 seconds and greatly lessen the risk of choking. #WorthIt.
10.) Dips dishes
So random but SO WORTH IT. We’d always been using little ceramic dishes for dipping, but it always felt like we’d either overpour dips since the dishes were too big, or they just weren’t the easiest or most efficient to use. These are THE PERFECT size in both height and depth, and they stack for easy storing.
