‘Tis the season – for sneezing and showers! April showers, baby showers, bridal showers…and weddings out the wazoo. I’m a HUGE advocate for not breaking the bank on a dress you’ll only wear once or twice. I lovelovelove wearing something new that makes me feel fabulous for a special event especially, but I do not lovelovelove feeling like it cost an arm and a leg to make happen. Luckily, there are actually so many beautiful options for a spring wedding guest dress that don’t even cost $100 (heck, most I have here aren’t even $50!). The lavender wedding guest dress option I’m wearing here is SO LOVELY – and an Amazon find, of all places! – but we’ve gotcha covered for whatever date you’ve got saved.
Quick disclaimer: it was approximately FREEZING when we shot this post. The wind was A-BLOWIN’, and I was only slightly afraid of becoming hypothermic whilst working. So if my body is lookin’ a little purple-y at times…that’s why. HA.
Lavender wedding guest dress (Amazon find under $40!) // Heels (another Amazon find – I have them in 2 or 3 colors!) // Earrings (TJMaxx find – similar here)
This lovely lavender wedding guest dress is an Amazon find under $40 – it’s got pretty pleats AND ruffled tiering for just a really fun, flattering look.
Normally I’m not one at all for anything strapless because I *cannot* deal with having to adjust anything or feel uncomfortable at any point, but this top is elastic and actually stays put nicely, where I don’t find myself constantly touching or tugging on it to readjust.
While the wind did us dirty from a comfort perspective while shooting this, it did do justice to show off the swing + flair of the dress…it’s so twirly and fun, great for a dancefloor. Also, while it’s not maternity, it’s obviously a bump friendly wedding guest dress option – I’m wearing my usual size small and it has plenty of give/room!
A few other top-rated, under $50 favorites I lovelovelove as a good spring wedding guest dress: this one + this one.
First, this one – an option with long sleeves for those of us still experiencing 40-50 degree “spring.” 😉 But, lovelovelove that it has both a shorter AND midi length option, so you can really mix + match hemlines depending on the temperature near you – and color, making it a versatile style for other seasons, too. (Like this gorgeous wine-colored combination for a fall wedding guest dress!).
Now this one – dang. I have approximately zero dates currently saved but might need to snag it just in case. 😉 I’m super into dresses that can give off a slinkier, sexier vibe without being uncomfortably revealing or blatantly immodest. I’m no prude, but I just feel waaaaay less self-conscious (and honestly, just more COMFORTABLE) in something that requires very little shifting or adjusting. This being bodycon is going to be snugger and hugging all the right places, but the elastane in the material makeup means hello STRETCHY (bless up). The ruching also means it will be a little more flattering/covering and won’t show every single bump or roll that another skin-tight body-con number might, so you can just focus on celebrating and having fun while feeling fab.
But OF COURSE there are so many other great spring wedding guest dress options out there – so we’ve got a whole SLUE picked out for you below. 🙂
For tips on what to consider in choosing a fall wedding guest dress that’s seasonally appropriate + chic, this will help – and here are other fall wedding guest dress options, also under $50, that I lovelovelove!
