Asking to pick a favorite child is hard, right? Right. Asking to pick a favorite dress? EASY PEASY. Out of all of the dresses in the world, this is it. Whoaaaaaa nelly – big claim, I know. But when it comes to choosing one piece that is versatile enough, comfortable enough, cute enough, AND affordable enough to work for literally anything (sans a wedding or funeral), you just can’t go wrong with + it’s long-sleeve counterpart. It’s THE famous Leith dress that I’ve mentioned so many times + shared so often, it’s like the communal CUR dress at this point. 😉
It comes in long sleeve AND sleeveless, both of which come in + out of stock faster than Black Friday doorbusters. The one I’m wearing here is currently out of stock (boo), but likely because of the season changing – ain’t nobody buying long sleeve right about now! GOOD NEWS is that (exact same dress, sans sleeves) is in stock + ON SALE. Huzzah! AND it’s on sale in regular AND plus sizing, in a whole buncha colors, all perfect for spring which is coming, I swear.
I have 4 or 5 of the tank versions at this point and 2 or 3 long sleeves, so you KNOW it’s a goodie. 😉 It’s just the style of dress I can (+ do) wear anytime, anywhere. Dress it up, dress it down. Wear to work, wear after work. Out to the mall, out to drinks. In the words of Shakira, whenever wherever and this dress is THERE for the party.
The thing that makes me the *happiest*, though, is how many of you have reached out to me to share that you a.) bought the dress because of me sharing it, and b.) absolutely lovelovelove it. I mean, y’all send PICS for proof, and I swear every single lady looks bomb dot com in it, regardless of age, body shape, height, the works. It’s so seriously flattering on all, adding the illusion of curves to straighter/more slender girls while hitting in all the right places for curvier girls. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dress that does what it does the same way – hence my obsession.
So, without further adieu, the long awaited, anxiously anticipated styling 3 ways (when there could be actually 52) of…
THE Famous Leith Dress
Look #1
(sold out, similar ) // (sold out, similar for under $30!) // Earrings c/o Marlyn Schiff // (code erica15 for a discount!) // (shade: Backtalk)
One of – if not THE – greatest things about this Leith dress is its versatility. The fact that it works for your 9-to-5 office job and then can seamlessly transition from desk to drinks is huuuuuuuge for me (even though girlfriend can get by in sweats 24/7 anymore – ha!). It hits at an appropriate length on your leg and isn’t TOO tight – the ruching helps here since it adds the illusion of looser fabric, even though it’s still an ultra-flattering cut.
I obviously paired with a blazer + heels; you can swap out any blazer or cardigan of your choice here, and really, any heels. Works like a charm! It also works by ITSELF, which is great – no need to worry about too-thin straps at the workplace or a too-plunging neckline.
Look #2
Pearl jean jacket (Similar here. My other pearl jean jacket that I wear constantly that you guys lovelovelove is + 30% off!!!) // // (shade: Candy Yum Yum)
My favorite Leith dress + my favorite style of jean jacket = so much goodness. Y’all have seen my favorite pearl jean jacket repeatedly at this point around these rosy parts; this one is a sliiiiiiightly different one to mix things up and keep it funky fresh. 😉 It’s a slightly cheaper version + available on Amazon, so that’s a win! Otherwise, obviously the pearls are on the shoulders instead of the sleeves, and there are less pearl details overall.
Paired with some Adidas Superstars, but any little white sneaker will do the trick! It’s all to just be a fun, more moveable look that’s ready for chasing after kiddos or running errands all around the mall.
Look #3
Camo shirt (on clearance from Target so sold out now – similar+ !) // // (Sold out, New purchase for this spring – lovelovelove!!! Similar )
This is another sorta “day” look; it really highlights your waist by tying a shirt there, especially since the ruching on the side already does a hella good job of that! These mules are favorites of mine this season (they’re new at Nordstrom!), and them + the higher cut in the middle of the dress help elongate your legs. #Bless
This dress is just SUCH A GEM – total closet staple, regardless of season. Works by itself with sandals, or layered up with boots, a blanket scarf, and a PSL come fall (especially when the long-sleeve version relaunches around then!). Colors come in and out of stock and change constantly, so if you see one you lovelovelove AND it’s no sale…snatch that sucker up like a kid on an Easter Egg hunt.
Highly recommend for a baby shower if it’s a girl, or for any brides in da house!
Do you have THE famous Leith dress in your closet yet???
