1 Thing, 3 Ways: Ponte Pants

TGIF. Who’s ready for the weekend? Aaaaaaand who’s been ready for the weekend since LAST weekend? Ha. 😉 Even though I’ve got a SOLID workload for the weekend ahead, we’re hoping to do an escape room as a big fam to celebrate my mama’s birthday, so I’m *super* pumped about that. Have y’all done one before??? They’re super strategic and GREAT for big groups! OK, in CUR news, I realized it’s been a HOT sec since we last styled 1 thing 3 ways (like, since 2017 – yikes). So today we’re bringin’ it back hot with what is quickly becoming my faaaaaavorite pair of pants right now. Introducing, ponte pants. In case you’re new to the ponte pant scene, here’s the scoop:

a.) They’re as comfy as leggings, but can be as dressed up as dress pants. Like what.

b.) Do we even need a b? THEY’RE LIKE LEGGINGS THAT CAN BE WORN FOR WORK.

Sorry for shouting, but we’re done here. #AddToCart. 😉 Really tho, I bought these pants from Nordstrom on a whim, because “legging” was in their title but they didn’t LOOK like leggings really. They definitely looked versatile enough to be worn for basically #AllTheThings, and they were less than $50, so I figured I’d pick up a pair and see what happened. And oh my gosh, they happened. I think I wore them a *solid* three days in a row before I realized I had a problem (namely, that I should wash them – ha!).

But what’s a girl to do when she finds the perfect pant?

(Answer: Blog about it 😉 ).

Ponte pants (I’m wearing an XS – also comes in charcoal grey!) // Graphic tee (similar here, ) // Jean jacket (old, similar here on super sale!!! Use codes FREEBIE + FORYOU at checkout) // Leopard slides (also available here) // Sunglasses (they’re designer lookalikes, as seen in Wednesday’s post on Amazon sunnies under $15!) // (shade: True Red – currently Buy 2, Get 1 free!) // Foundation //

This is one of my personal *fave* looks, and one that I’ll be rocking over + over again, no doubt. It’s a bit hard to tell in photos, but there’s a thin, raised stripe down the front of the pantleg. (It’s easier to see in the grey version on the actual website!). This definitely dresses ’em up a bit, since it almost looks like a pleat. To keep things casual for a random Tuesday, I like pairing with a denim jacket on top. Since jeans are more commonly thought of as your go-to pants for a “casual Friday,” incorporating denim in your look in some other way is a simple solution to keep things cas (note: how does one spell CAS – the shortening of casual? A forever mystery…).

A fun graphic tee is another great way to casual-ify your look, and I lovelovelove a pop of leopard anywhere, anytime. All about keeping it fun + interesting!

Jean jacket + graphic tee + ponte pants + statement shoe = WIN.

Ponte pants (I’m wearing an XS – also comes in charcoal grey!) // Babydoll blouse (c/o) // Pink heels (same style in black on sale for 45% off here! If you’re size 6.5, head – there’s pink in your size on sale for over half off, but they’re almost sold out!) // Lippy (shade: Vitamin Beet) // Foundation //

Perhaps the BEST thing about these pants is that you can actually wear ’em to work. The female dream of leggings to work has now been made true. Bless. Really, they look like dress pants, especially when you dress up the rest of your outfit accordingly. I paired with this absolutely adorable babydoll blouse, which is the caaaaautest little top for work as we head into springtime weather. Naturally, I added a pop o’ pink in my lip + shoe color choice. 😉

Easy addition would be a light cardigan for air conditioned spaces, or a blazer to dress things up even more. You could rock a button-down blouse, blazer, + closed-toe pumps with these pants for an even more business-professional look, and it still feels like you’re wearing leggings. #win

LOOK #3: Girls night out!

Ponte pants (I’m wearing an XS – also comes in charcoal grey!) // Top (On super sale for $32.83 – still available in , orange, + !) // Black heels (Run TTS – comes in a buncha colors + prints, too!) // (shade: Snob) // Foundation //

This fun peplum blouse is the bombdotcom – truly perfect for a girls night out or your next datenight! The pink is currently sold out since the shirt style is on sale for 40% off (!!!!!), but you can still snag in a gorgeous cobalt blue, a poppy orange, and a fun floral print. The bright color + fun cut is great for girls’ night; I paired with my new favorite black heels on the bottom. I have a pair of the Steve Madden Carrson heel, but TBH, I like these better. Namely because I think the heel is sliiiiiiightly lower on these, making them a bit more comfortable/manageable! But these pants – the ponte pants are fun because no matter WHAT your girls’ night entails, they work + are comfy AF. No need to worry about jeans not buttoning after too many tacos, or spilling your Cabernet on your white pants – it’s the next best thing to sweatpants and chick flicks. 😉

A big gold monogram + pink Gucci bag are just the icing on the girly cake here for a dressier night out. The general formula here is fun top, ponte pants, favorite heels. Bing bang boom DONE.
