It feels like an eternity has passed since I’ve last hopped on the blog. Why? Because I got engaged nbd. Way more on that to come, but I still haven’t gotten down from Cloud 9, so excuse me as I get my emotions together and buckle down to do something besides leaf through Brides magazine and watch SYTTD re-runs. (Meanwhile, get to know us here.)
Now, back to business.
Today’s post is in cahoots with the fabulous Ashliegh from The Darling Daily. She’s currently living it up au-pair style in Germany, since she spontaneously decided to up and leave ‘Murrrrica and have the adventure of a lifetime. We Skyped recently, and let me tell you…this girl is just as darling in almost-person as she is on her blog. A collab was an obvious must, so we opted for the one thing we had in common in our winter wardrobes: a classic white sweater.
We’re approximately 3,993 miles apart, but we both have our favorite cozy ivory knit for winter weather. Since this is a style to transcend the Atlantic, we figured we had to share some styling tips and give you inspiration for your own sweater weather mixing and matching.

For my two looks, I opted to tackle two ends of the spectrum: Edgy and Preppy. First up, a bit of an urban edge. I threw on my glasses and paired my sweater with a chunky black scarf (it was freezing, so fitting), black jeans, and leopard slip-on sneakers with which I am absolutely obsessed. A leather and bling cuff bracelet was my finishing touch! Super easy, simple, and comfortable, while still trendy enough to look put together for everyday activities and errands.

Next up, I prepped out on the town (get it???) and let my hair down. I could live in chambray, so I threw on my softest denim shirt underneath my sweater and popped the collar out. My brightest Baublebar gems went on top of that for an added pop of neon. Neon is an awesome way to add happiness to an outfit in an otherwise dull and bleak season! Instead of jeans, I went a bit dressier with these slim navy slacks from Target. I love them because they’re even softer and comfier than denim, but they look more polished – a win-win! Lastly, these bubblegum pink pointy-toe pumps from Forever 21 took the cake and added another colorful pop. You like?
