Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove – Monthly Favorites, February 2019

Hollah @ February – you’ve been short, per usual! Anyone else in general disbelief slash shock that February is DONE today? I mean…hello? 2019? Is that you? Back at it with another round of monthly favorites in this edition of Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove. This is definitely one of my own personal favorite series on le blog, and from your reaction every time, I’d say the feeling is mutual. 😉 Let’s cut to the chase + dive right in, shall we?

P.S. Before we dive in, wouldja throw a vote my way here? Voting ends tomorrow for Influencer of the Year – say what?!

1.) Lalabu shirts

If you caught a recent #UnboxingsWithJamie on my Instastories with special guest appearance OLIVIA GRACE, you might remember J *raving* about a certain baby-wearing t-shirt. Liv is juuuuust about too big for it now, so I had to include it in this month’s Cool Sh*t since we certainly got our use out of it for the first 4+ months! I had a handful of wraps that I tried out when we first brought Olivia home, but many just felt like a hassle, especially with how wriggly she is! And it was really SUCH A LAUGH watching us try to figure out the directions on different fabric wraps.

Lalabu shirts are where it’s at. You just tuck your babe into the pouch like a kangaroo, and they’re snug as a bug in a rug…or a baby in a sack. You decide. 😉 They make a version for moms + one for dads, too!

J has vowed to gift one to all of our expecting friends – particularly the dads.

2.)

I received this foundation as a PR sample some time ago and finally decided to give it a go. And I’m reaaaaaaally into it. It feels full coverage without being cakey, which is V IMPORTANT. Technically, it’s described as being medium-to-full, buildable coverage, which I’d totally agree with – and a little bit goes a long way. Also, it’s certified cruelty-free!

3.) “Girl, Stop Apologizing”

The sequel to the absurdly popular NYT Bestseller, “Girl, Wash Your Face.” (Which we talked about here!). I was sent a press copy ahead of release, and I breeeeeeeezed through it because I just couldnt put it down. This is set to be the more “action-oriented” next step to Girl, Wash Your Face, with more of a “gameplan” style of writing to get goals moving + grooving in your life. I wholeheartedly appreciate this since it’s full of useful exercises + daily to-do’s to adopt to truly enrich your everyday routine and kick it all up a notch in hitting your next level.

I’m just SUCH A FAN of Rachel’s writing style – she makes me LOL in coffeeshops with pithy one-liners and analogies that good writers just aspire to slay. When you’re reading her stuff, you really just feel like you’re chitchatting with a girlfriend who also happens to be your life coach, so I always end up at least feeling motivated to just do the damn thing already by the time I put down a book.

4.)

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but I’ve been a Secret girl since the 6th grade. The 6th friggin’ grade, yo! They’re the only brand of deodorant that I consistently go back to time and time again. And ever since I had the opportunity to be at P&G headquarters in Cincinatti, Ohio and be literally in the Secret labs, making an Outlast gel antiperspirant firsthand and talking to the scientists behind the brand, I’ve been all the more sold. They’re just a really dependable product, and I lovelovelove the strength + messaging behind the brand, too!

Freshies are one of Secret’s latest + greatest inventions. They’re designed to look cute + discreet enough to be out and about in your bag without any concerns (in case you’re someone who isn’t a fan of deodorant just sitting there for the world to see – ha!). And obviously work wherever – your purse, diaper bag, gym bag, desk drawer, you name it.

Freshies are actually formulated with this super cool proprietary, sweat-activated BCD technology to trap odor and ~replace~ it with the better, fresher scent. Which is WILD, is it not?! I had Cool Waterlily in my bag for months, and I got Paris Rose recently – so even my armpits are coming up roses. 😉

5.) Trader Joe’s Organic Moroccan Mint Green Tea

I think this stuff is in my bloodstream at this point. I’ve actually been drinking this more than coffee this month – CRAY, I KNOW. I’ve been trying to intentionally start my day with a warm, non-caffeinated beverage instead of first putting caffeine in my veins, since sometimes that can leave me feeling a bit jittery if it’s the only thing in my stomach to kickoff the AM. I like having a mug of TJ’s Moroccan Mint Green Tea then, as well as in the afternoon if I’m in the mood for something hot but it’s before I typically reach for the coffee.

6.) The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

If you need a new show to binge, this is it! The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is SO GOOD. It’s set in 1950’s Manhattan, which is just fabulous. And it centers around a housewife, Midge Maisel, who is really everything but. Turns out, she’s a fantastic comic – a feat in and of itself in a time when women were singers, not comedians. In the aftermath of her husband’s infidelity and leaving her for his secretary, she decides to pursue her newfound dream full force using her own life as inspiration, and ends up building a name for herself in the industry.

Witty and empowering with good character development. Highly recommend. Available on Prime Video!

7.)

How many times is to many times to mention this buttery soft hoodie? The limit does not exist. I’ve worn this at least once a week since I got it in the mail, and for good reason. (And we talked all about it here, too!). It’s just SO soft, SO cute, and SO easily thrown on with everything from workout pants to distressed denim. SO lightweight, too! Fair warning, you won’t take it off.

My Pink Lily discount code works on it for y’all, too! So if you’re pulling a #TreatYoSelf, add code ERICA15 to your order to save 15% on it + everything else in your cart. 😉

8.) Lululemon Align pants

Before getting Align pants, I thought it’d be a cold day in hell before I spent 100+ bucks on a pair of leggings. I mean, that’s EXPENSIVE. But…wait for it…they’re actually worth it.

I KNOW, IT’S NUTS.

But Lululemon has stitched some sort of pixie dust inside the Align pants that just make them a totally worthwhile investment in your athleisure/workout wardrobe. Actually, apparently it’s some combination of Nulu fabric and Lycra fiber. So, pixie dust. 😉 And they’re specifically designed to be wicking, too!

I first tried a pair on in store because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I mean, there is hype. As soon as I put them on, I knew I’d be leaving with them – they feel like butter on your legs, and they clearly work for whatever the occasion, whether you’re working up a sweat or just lounging on the couch. And then I loveloveloved my first pair so much that I asked J for a solid black pair for Christmas, and he obliged. 🙂

9.) Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice

Another TJ’s fave! This stuff is my lunchtime crack. I kid you not. Definitely my favorite of all of the frozen chicken fried rice varieties that’ve crossed our freezer! SO easy to whip up, and totally yummy. We always have 2-4 bags stocked at all times!

10.) Noemie Sapphire eternity band ring

I had been on the hunt for a dainty ring that I could wear on my left middle finger, that wouldn’t look weird or distracting next to my wedding band set. And y’all, this is it! This ring from Noemie is *beautiful* – it’s a diamond/sapphire combo, which I lovelovelove for some subtle color while still looking so classy. It’s actually got pink, orange, blue and green sapphires, and then white diamonds all set on an 18K gold band.

Their diamonds are also all bought from conflict-free sources and are compliant with applicable UN resolutions, so you know your jewelry doesn’t have blood behind it (literally).
