It’s the mooooost wonderful tiiiiiiime of the moooonth! Monthly favorites are here, and this month has been FIRE with favorites. First favorite being Jonah man turning one – truly surreal. Second favorite being our OCNJ beach trip – ’twas a time. And the rest of the favorites…well, here you go. 😉
1.) AirEssentials joggers (discount code: ELGXSPANX)
Give a girl the right pair of sweats and she can conquer the world…or something like that. 😉 If Elle Woods wore sweatpants, it would be Spanx’s AirEssentials I’m sure. They are the most buttery, chic sweats…you instantly feel like a fancy, Hamptons-ready housewife when you put them on because they’re just COOL like that. But unlike regular fleece sweats, they’re not bulky or heavy…they’re literally LIGHT. These joggers are like the perfect warm-weather sweats when you still want to be “cozy” but don’t want to overheat in the process. Perfect in the AC!
Discount code ELGXSPANX will still take 10% off your order, bless up.
2.) Jonah’s car ramp
My brother got this for Jonah man’s birthday, and it is a HIT. It’s an adorable Montessori-inspired car ramp that is so great for their fine motor skills…but also the ultimate boy gift. As soon as we showed him how the cars go down he was saying “OOOH!” and trying to put them on himself, and it does such a great job of holding his interest and keeping him engaged.
Bonus, Liv loves it, too. Sharing is caring, right? 😉
I did not get much from this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – but I did get this classic denim jacket, and I am so, so impressed. It’s a fabulous fit, a great classic color, and really, really flattering. It’s a “trucker” style so the body is slightly slouchy, and it just feels like the kindof jean jacket you throw on over literally anything for a vibe.
4.) Rhinestone mesh Mary Janes
I had so much regret not snagging these when Target had them…but then I found these on Amazon and like how they look even more! (And they’re identical to this $140 pair…so we’ll take the look for less thankyoukindly!) They’re trendy but still feel classic, the rhinestones are girly and fun without being gaudy, and I like that they’re sheer without actually being see-through where you can see your toes. They look dainty and feminine, look cute with shorts, dresses, jeans, skirts…anything goes and they’re just so dang pretty!
5.) Creatine
If you heard this podcast, you know my deal on creatine already…this is like a power powder to maximize your workouts and get the most out of muscle building and recovery. It’s a super supplement that my brother and mom BOTH started taking before clueing a sista in…so I’m being a friend and NOT gatekeeping so that you, too, can get those gains. 😉
6.) Air Doctor (discount code: THRIVE)
Did you know that we take about 20,000 breaths a day? And on average, Americans spend about 90% of their time indoors? As if that statistic isn’t scary enough, according to the EPA, the indoor air we breathe can be up to 100 times MORE polluted than outdoor air, and those indoor air pollutants can cause respiratory symptoms like sneezing, congestion, a scratchy throat…even more serious health problems like lung and heart disease.
I first heard of AirDoctor from a girlfriend who swore by hers…it’s an air purifier that filters out 99.99% of dangerous contaminants so your lungs don’t have to. It gets allergens, pollen, dust, pet dander, dust, mites, mold spores…even bacteria and viruses.
At first I was skeptical how much it would do for us since we already have a pretty decent HVAC system in our house…so color my shocked when the Air Quality Monitor kicked on red (meaning poorest air quality) right after we cooked dinner the first night. We have a gas stove and I hadn’t really considered how many pollutants come from cooking over gas (chemicals like carbon monoxide, benzene, etc…no bueno). But the AirDoctor IMMEDIATELY sensed it and cleaned it, efficiently and quietly, and had the space back to blue in probably 7 minutes max.
Especially given the long term health benefits, it’s 100% worth it. AND it comes with a 30-day money back guarantee, so in case you don’t absolutely love it, just return it. I managed to snag us a code from the podcast…use promo code THRIVE to get up to $300 off (YES!!!) your air purifier, and get a free 3-year warranty on ANY unit (additional $84 value).
I grabbed this indoor/outdoor portable play yard on Prime Day for my little man at the beach…it was the best investment for the trip! Granted, it was half the price of similar ones – so I was all the more pleased. 🙂 It’s super easy to fold/unfold, is made well, and the canopy attaches easily. I’m already thinking how fabulous it will be for an at-home makeshift ball pit…
Did I buy the Kindle bundle even though I already own the box set of this entire series? Yes. Yes I did. My last Sarah J. Maas series to dive into, and her very first work. I’m about 22% through the series, according to my Kindle progress. I just lovelovelove getting absolutely lost in another world like this. Last summer was ACOTAR, this summer: TOG!
9.) Costco bogg bag dupe
The most frequently asked Q of the month goes to…do you have a good Bogg bag dupe? Ladies, here it is! I got the Costco version for $50 less than the Bogg, and let me tell you, they are the same. Actually, they’re not the same…maybe this one is better? Because this one actually has a detachable SHOULDER strap, too, which I personally lovelovelove.
Now, I also have this one en route to my house to compare and contrast, as well…so stay tuned. 😉
10.) Nerds on vanilla custard
Don’t knock it until you try it!!! I swear, better than sprinkles. That light tang with the frozen vanilla custard…absolutely unreal. J and I are HOOKED! It’s our current hyperfixation.
