WHOA BABY – June was a MONTH. Besides the fact that it marks the halfway point of 2021 (like wut), it also marked a new tattoo, new cat, AND the release of the THRIVING Collection (!!!).
Phew.
So many obvious favorite things came out of June, so let’s not waste any time – let’s hop right to it!
OF COURSE – kicking things off with the THRIVING Collection! It’s been hard to hold off until June to list this collection as a favorite since I’ve been wearing these on repeat for quite awhile now offline, but here we are! A sweatshirt, tumbler cup, white tee, tank top, baseball hat, necklace, AND bonus toddler tee to help you go from surviving to thriving. I’ll keep this short n’ sweet since the full line is blogged in depth here, but WOWEE – what a rush. I hope you lovelovelove every single piece as much as we do at Team CUR! 🙂
2.) Forte tattoo
I’ve had this tattoo in my head ever since seeing my girlfriend Laurelle with similar ink – and it came out even better than I had envisioned it! As many of you maybe know by now, I’ve been a pianist/musician for 22+ years at this point. In music theory, “forte” means strongly or loudly – this little f sign is all over all of my music books. So really, it felt only fitting to ink this basic command on my skin – a constant reminder of the way I strive to live my life.
Loudly. Strongly. Purposefully. Intentionally. Courageously.

3.) Brumate
Do you have a Brumate yet?? ‘Tis the hard seltzer season, so it’s high time you get yourself one, sister! Especially since the code they gave us expires LITERALLY TONIGHT, so snag it while you can get 15% off since they *rarely* do discount codes. (Code COMINGUPROSES at checkout to save $$).
Essentially, Brumates are triple-insultated stainless steel drinkware that can hold everything from your favorite adult can or bottle to a wine bottle or beer growler. They’re designed with patented technology to keep your drinks at the perfect temperature – and they WORK. They’re also virtually indestructible, have an air-lock technology to keep your drinks snugly fit, as well as their proprietary technology that keeps your drink 20x colder than your old neoprene sorority Koozy. 😉 They’re the BOMB and make a GREAT gift, so think ahead to the holidays already while you can get ’em discounted!
4.) Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater stain treater
I’ve shared + showed this magical stuff at work on my Instagram Stories a few times now…literally blows my mind every time. I’m always initially skeptical of anything that swears it can treat “any” stain, because Lord knows…some stains stain. But this stuff comes highly reviewed + recommended so I gave it a go – and WOW OH WOW. It’s like Folex for your clothes.
Stains literally vanish before your eyes while soaking them. I cannot fathom.
5.) Mackenzie-Childs Royal Check bowl + pitcher
When these pieces showed up on my doorstep via PR, I just about hyperventilated. Mackenzie-Childs is such a dream brand – everything is gorgeous and hand painted and special. Heirloom kinda pieces that you don’t just buy on a whim, but for a purpose. For example, I bought our Courtly Check teapot when we moved into our new house as a sortof housewarming gift to ourselves. HA.
But the team sent over this ROYAL check bowl, pitcher, and centerpiece which are just *darling* for the 4th of July. Or, really, any room with some royal blue decor elements – so stunning!
6.) Cupshe swimsuit
Hands down, my favorite swimsuit brand from Amazon. I must have at least 15 Cupshe suits at this point – they’re just a neverfail kinda swimmy that’s always made surprisingly well for a $28 suit, and I’ve yet to have any issues with fit.
This suit in particular is a bestseller of theirs and a favorite of mine this year – the candy-colored stripes and ruffle detailing are fun, and the deeper V is cute while still having a full coverage booty.
These are MINDBLOWINGLY good. Outrageously so. And absolute obsession – be warned. 😉 It’s like Nerds ropes cut into little bit-size bits, except the Nerds pieces are a bit smaller and therefore more comfortable to chew, I think (not as awkwardly crunchy, if that makes sense? Ha!). A perfect movie snack…or really, an anytime snack. 10/10.
8.) Acrylic phone/tablet easel
I first saw this little device on Instagram and thought it would be SUPER handy to keep next to my stovetop area, whether it be for FaceTiming girlfriends while whipping up a Home Chef or more easily following an online recipe. The little gold pegs are actually adjustable and can be moved forward/backward to fit whichever device you’re standing up (since it would fit a phone or a tablet, too!).
This would make for a pretty unique gift idea, too, if you’re gifting someone who likes to be in touch or on tech while cooking or multitasking!
9.) Zulily
I know, I know…what rock have I been living under?! Zulily has been a thing for probably years, I realize. But it’s new to me this month, and MAN OH MAN online shopping will never be the same! Essentially, they have some products/deals that are always there at lower price points, and then they also do these 24-72 hour “events” where select products from certain brands come in at INSANELY discounted prices for that limited time only. It’s like a flash sale on steroids, and it feels like the Walmart TV department on Black Friday (except way less stressful and more comfortable haha).
EXAMPLE: I grabbed Liv this adorable Blues Clues activity rug set for her birthday (early, I know – but it’s great for stocking up!)
10.) Milo
Last but certainly not least…sweet, sweet Milo. 🙂 Our little Maine Coon kitten is about 12 weeks old now – such a baby! We’re still trying to figure out how best to prevent poop from sticking on his hind leg fur, so any fellow long-hair cat mamas, help a sistah out???
But he’s such a sweet, playful, brave little man who is already 100% acclimated to our circus of a house. Fits right in. 😉
