WOWEE – it’s been a hot sec since I’ve just shared some chit chat slash life updates of what’s been happening lately and what’s up CURrently (get it?) around these rosy parts! Just popping in today to share some fun new things and thoughts. 🙂 Also sharing a few fun snapshots from our family walk last evening – spring has sprung in PA, folks! Shoutout to Georjenna from the CURowd who just so happens to live in our development – was so fun bumping into you last night. 🙂
Someone insisted on wearing a winter hat during our 70 degree walk. Not naming names, but…
BUT FIRST, a quick moment of digital housekeeping – I would lovelovelove to encourage you to sign up for the CURation and/or the CURoundup while you’re here. 🙂 They’re the two best-kept secrets of CUR that hit your inbox on Sunday (the CURation) + Wednesday (the CURoundup). The CURation curates everything from the blog AND podcast from the week and focuses on sharing a more personal peek into my life + inspirational pickmeup to start your week strong. The CURoundup rounds up worthwhile sales + steals on anything we (“we” = my girl Katie + I) deem worthy of precious space in your inbox that day. 😉 If you’re also someone who hates social media algorithms and preferes to catch up on your favorite blogs in your inbox when a new post is published (raises hand), you can sign up for that while you’re there, too – of course, TOTALLY OPTIONAL and just meant to help meet you where you’re at if you like hanging out in Gmail more than on Facebook, etc.
Without further adieu, CURrently I’m…
WEARING // Wearing this Walmart dress – literally. It’s on my body right this very second, and I’m SO STINKIN’ IMPRESSED – it’s so good and feels like it’s from a chic boutique. My pink/orange combo is currently out of stock, but fingers crossed for a restock – and in the meantime, they just launched an olive/chartruse version (although I’m partial to pink 😉 ). Also have been recently wearing + loving this boyfriend tee (it’s 25% off!), these mom jeans, my $15 Vans dupes from WALMART (so good omg), + this squishy-soft jumpsuit (15% off with code ERICA15). Carrying this bag right now (a $46 lookalike to the $2,000+ Louis Vuitton Damiers) + throwing on comfies from this small shop every evening to hang out – she so kindly gave me code ERICA15 for you to get 15% off there, too!
MAKING // A list and checking it twice of everything upcoming. Holy moly, she said to her calendar. We’ve got a full one, folks – praise be to God for the world slowly but surely starting to safely open up more. We’re both halfway to fully vaccinated and waiting like racehorses at the gate for some fun times with friends ahead!
LISTENING TO // The Fearless Album…Taylor’s Version, obvi. 😉 8th grade Erica is LIVING for it. Also, the new album drop from the Biebs, worship jams, and my whole Spotify playlist of favorite beats + bops. Feel free to follow along if ya want. 😉
WATCHING // Legally Blonde on Netflix + Bridgerton for the 6th time. 😉 We’re also watching the new Winter Soldier/Falcon series from Marvel on Disney+!
CRUSHING ON // Liv right now in this very second. I feel like a broken record at every age, but I swear this age is my very favorite yet. The fact that she started pre-school this month is UNREAL to me. Weren’t we just in the NICU? Wasn’t she just born yesterday? I simply cannot fathom how quickly she is growing, although everyone and their mom tells you this exact thing before you birth your own human.
EATING // Dark chocolate-covered mangoes from Costco, Kozyshack cinnamon rice pudding with raisins, and Pamela’s Brownies. (ICYMI, Pamela is a CUR reader-turned small shop owner who happens to make the best brownies on Planet Earth – and we are all so #blessed to get $2.50 off with code ERICA at checkout!!!)
IGNORING // The pile of “delicates” laundry in my basket needing doing. My motto: Save water ’til you’ve run outta undies.
EXCITED FOR // My best friend’s sister’s wedding at the end of next month. If you need a stand-in bridesmaid or someone to hype up the dance floor, I’m your girl. We figured it’ll likely be the only wedding that we’re both invited to, so it’s bound to be basically the best time ever.
THINKING ABOUT // Taco Bell.
WISHING // That I had Taco Bell.
SCHEDULING // Flights for upcoming weddings in St. Louis, Michigan, and COSTA RICA, BABY. I think the bubble is bursting from all of the postponed 2020 plans, so our 2021 social events calendar is really poppin’. (That reminds me of the scene in Legally Blonde when Elle gets to Harvard and asks for the social events calendar…a girl after my own heart). Also just scheduled another round of swim lessons for Liv (she loveloveLOVES the water!), and put a weekend with nothing to do but organizing our basement onto the family calendar. 😉
GRATEFUL FOR // Our health. Liv transitioning well to pre-school. My parents’ willingness to help us out with the OG sometimes to give us a date night. The spring blooms everywhere – such beautiful signs of new life, and reminders of beauty after life’s winters!
PROCRASTINATING WITH // YouTube videos + podcast episodes deep-diving into what the heck happened with Rachel Hollis (spoiler alert: she went off the deep end), and all Bachelor franchise behind-the-scenes updates.
DREAMING ABOUT // Being on the beach with my family, sipping a margarita, breathing in salty air and just praising Jesus for it all. Ahhhh.
What have you been up to currently?
