Ocean City, New Jersey Family Vacation – iPhone Photo Dump (+ Swimsuits!)

Can I get a SHELL YEAH to a weeklong vacay with an ocean view at the Jersey shore??? It was great to get away for a hot sec with the fam, to soak up some sunshine and stock up on our vitamins (that’s vitamin D + vitamin SEA ???? ).  Our family of three + my parents hit up Ocean City New Jersey, where we’ve gone for a few years now. We have family friends that own the quaintest little beach house there that they inherited from their parents a few decades ago, so it’s a cute place to rent for a week away.

Dropping in today to share a few photos from my iPhone, and to round up all of my swimsuits, accessories, must-haves, + Liv’s beach gear for any of you with sandy plans on the horizon.

NOTE: I stayed TTS with all of my swimmies! The only one that’s not totally full coverage on the bottom is the polka dot one piece down below. If you’ve got any other sizing Q’s – because I know swimsuit shopping can be a pain in the BUTT – feel free to reach out to me anytime! I’m an open book and always happy to help. ????

There’s something fun about being at the beach for the 4th of July! I think we were the most festive family on the sand – ha. Gotta deck out to celebrate the stars n’ stripes!

Also Liv with snacks is a MOOD. Her cute little star sunnies were a Target dollar spot find!

My polka dotted one piece is a BIT cheekier on the bottom, but still comfortable and obviously cute! And it’s actually a bit of a push-up on top, so if you’re #blessed in the chest – it’ll be hawt on you!

I grabbed a few swimmies for the OG from Zulily this year – they have some awesome, adorable options for littles if you’re not wanting the same Target options on repeat!

And her ridiculously fun flower sunnies? A HUGE PACK on Amazon for under $16!!!!

While my original bikini is unfortunately sold out (it’s a few years old, sorry!), I found a few other gingham two piece bathing suits from the same brand that I’m sure are equally great (this swimmy brand is my favorite affordable one from Amazon!).

Liv’s swimmy ALSO has an accompanying matching “Mama” option because of COURSE you have to match your mini with it.

I already have another one of these smiley face trucker hats in my Etsy cart, because I a.) lovelovelove supporting small businesses, and b.) can never have enough smiley faces. It just makes me HAPPY to see it + wear it, so I’m here for it.

That awkward moment when you show up to the party all dressed the same – HA. You know I HAD to find a matching moment for the WHOLE clan, so I roped J into it, too and he was such a good sport. 🙂

For date night, J + I tried a new-to-us restaurant called 701 Mosaic, and it was BOMB. If you like authentic Caribbean cuisine (think jerk chicken, fried plantains, etc), you MUST GO. It’s a little family-owned joint on E. 4th St. and Ocean Ave and was *chef’s kiss* good. Best ginger beer we’ve ever tried, too!

Then we hit up mini golf on the boardwalk and shared a sprinkle cone from Kohr’s (because Jersey shore).

A note on my outfit of the night – this romper. An Amazon fashion find that is SO GOOD – it’s easy and breezy, but what I lovelovelove the most is that the sleeves are movable to fit your mood. You can wear them on your shoulders OR off, which is versatility that I wholeheartedly appreciate. And these braided sandals are less than $25 lookalikes to the $80 Steve Maddens that are super popular this year, but they’re SUCH a soft faux leather that I think makes them even more comfortable to their more expensive counterpart! ALSO the gold chain detail is subtle and pretty and fabulous.

THRIVING. Featuring THE Thriving Tumbler Cup, an official CURowd must-have. 😉 Mimi and I rocked our cups all week long. Was it water or was it a margarita, the world will never know…

This red scalloped bikini was SUCH a pleasant surprise – it’s shockingly comfortable and fabulously flattering. I recommend. The top keeps you put, the bottoms are full coverage AND high-waisted, it comes in other colors, and it just rocks.

Also, HIGHLY recommend water shoes for your littles at the beach – it eliminates the worry of stepping on a rock or shell on the beach or in the ocean, which can prevent pain AND tantrums (because who the heck wants to step on a sharp shell and cut their foot? I’d throw a fit, too!).

Have you been to Ocecan City New Jersey before?

What’s your favorite beach to visit? Any other Jersey shore faves I should add to our local list?
