Can you believe Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK?!?! I feel like everything and its mother is earlier this year, from when the PSL first debuted to when Christmas decorations went up to when Cyber week shopping began (hint: yesterday). Wanted to get in one more chic festive look for the holidays, especially since this skirt has an elastic waistband (bless up), which we all know is as essential to Thanksgiving as pumpkin pie.
I’m resharing quite a few pieces from the depths of my wardrobe to create these looks, so unfortunately some of the pieces are out of stock right now. BUT I rounded up similar items to shop, and hopefully it’s just the right amount of inspiration to shop within your own closet, too!
ALSO ALSO, a few big sales are already getting started! Shoutout to Shopbop’s big sale which started today – you can save up to 25% off full-price items and up to 75% off sale items with code MORE19. Here’s the sale breakdown:
is the exact sequin midi skirt I’m wearing from Walmart.
Here’s another sequin midi skirt on sale for $21.24 as a Black Friday deal!
This cool is 50% off today only with free shipping!
sequin midi skirt is almost sold out, and for good reason…
And is droolworthy holiday options!
LASTLY, from Walmart that I’ve mentioned before ARE still in stock + ON SALE and truly too good to pass up.
SEQUIN MIDI SKIRT LOOK #1
I lovelovelove this look as a work-ready option for the holiday season! Simply pair a complementary blouse with your sequin midi skirt, front tucking it like I did here. It’s still figure-flattering, especially since the blouse is looser up top and the skirt is snugger throughout like a pencil skirt.
Again, can’t recommend enough. I was SO stoked when I tried them on myself! They’re different than your basic black pump in that they’ve obviously got a cute little ankle strap, but they still feel classic + chic. The heel isn’t too high, and – wait for it – they’re only $17. The best part is how versatile they are – wear them for work OR the holidays, with skirts or dresses OR pants – anything goes. Get your regular size!
SEQUIN MIDI SKIRT LOOK #2
This black-on-black ensemble I had in mind for more formal, festive holiday parties on your calendar.
My top is actually , which is perfect for that seamless, chic look with something like a sequin midi skirt; it’s only $8.50 with code ERICA15 at checkout!!! I wear this on repeat because it’s just SUCH a versatile piece, dressing it up like here or down with denim and sneakers.
I’m SO SAD my shoes are so old – I think I’ve had them since my freshman year of college. HA! They’re just SUCH oldies-but-goodies that I can’t bear to part with them. But, linked up some similar bow heels for you below!
SEQUIN MIDI SKIRT LOOK #3
This last look is one of my favorites since it’s actually COZY for cold winter months! I think it’s hilariously unrealistic when so many fun, festive looks completely disregard the fact that for many of us, Christmas is COLD. In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ain’t nobody got time for bare legs or short sleeves come the holidays. Granted, I’ve got bare legs here…I get it, I get it. 😉 But that’s why it’s called BALANCE, people – gotta cozy up up top!
A not-too-chunky chunky knit sweater that can be lightly front-tucked into your sequin midi skirt gives everything a more wintry vibe. I lovelovelove the pop of color, too, and of course these fabulous black pumps! A chic topknot or sock bun ties it all together.
Would you wear a sequin midi skirt for the holidays?
Which of the three ways above are your favorite? Happy Thanksgiving week, friends!
