I’m a big, big fan of transitional style. When you find the perfect piece that transcends multiple seasons, it’s like hitting the fashion jackpot – and finding a few ways to wear it to get the best bang for your buck is always in season. One of my favorite things to whip out this time of year is a sweater tank. A good sweater tank goes a long, long way – it’s cute and chic by itself in summertime, easily styled casually with jean cutoffs or dressed up with a pleated skirt for the office. Then come fall, it’s a dream to pair with a moto jacket – and you get valuable layerability as the temperature continues to figure itself out for a few months. After wearing this chic black sweater tank on my Instagram Stories this past week and getting ALL THE DMs about it, I figured the entire look deserved it’s own dedicated post…especially since the pants, boots, AND suede jacket are on sale through THIS WEEKEND ONLY.

This ‘fit gets the spotlight for good reason this season. It’s sleek, chic, and currently on sale. 😉 Black on black is always a classic option, but I lovelovelove the warm camel pop with the suede moto jacket. This jacket is more of a splurge, in my opinion, but the epitome of a good investment piece. I bought mine maybe three Nordstrom Anniversary Sales ago already, and it still looks AND feels brand spankin’ new. I whip it out every fall, and it’s just a timeless seasonal staple. Here’s a more affordable option to get the look for less!
These pants were SUCH a pleasant surprise to me this NSALE! At first I resisted the wideleg pant trend coming back, but I went to the dark side and may never come back. 😉 These are great because they’re a.) high waisted, b.) great on your bum, and c.) suuuuper soft + stretchy denim. They pass the squat test with no wedgies (bless). The length definitely necessitates pairing with a heel, but I think that works especially well with a heeled booty.
Speaking of, these black booties were another stellar sale surprise. I was hunting for a pair that was snug on the ankle, specifically for pairing with widerleg pants. The last thing you want is a frumpy boot look under the leg, where it’s just too much boot and too much fabric and a clash across the board. These are sleek and chic. The pointed toe elongates your leg, they stay up nicely on your lower leg, and the heels isn’t too high – they’re totally doable.
And lastly, the star of the show here – the sweater tank. Again, ALL about a good sweater tank for transitioning seasons – it’ll keep ya breezy and cool while it’s still 80+ degrees out in August, but throw on a layer and you’ve just effortlessly entered September and cooler fall temps. This specific one comes in a handful of colors and is currently on sale on Amazon (yay!) – I recommend sizing down one, especially if you, like me, are not #blessed in the bust department. 😉 I’m wearing an XS!
