The March CURoundup: Podcasts, Top 10 Bestsellers, + Sales!

And just like that…we’re MARCHing towards a new month. Not over the fact that it’s almost April and we’re here getting emergency snow squall warnings in 28 degree Pennsylvania…GET IT TOGETHER, PA. In other news, this week’s work involves purging even more for our closet sale this coming weekend – it’s going to be SO MUCH FUN with 100% of proceeds benefitting Covenant House of PA to help homeless + trafficked youth, and it’s so much good stuff for dirt cheap for the cause. COME HANG. 🙂

MARCH’S PODCAST EPISODES:

1.) How to Actually Describe What you Do as a Multi-Passionate Person – with Dr. Michelle Mazur Today’s episode is for the multi-passionate people in the room. Can we get an amen if you, too, like us, have a whole handful of passions and projects and sometimes struggle with wrapping that all in a nice little word bow when someone asks, “So…what do you do?” Dr. Michelle Mazur is a messaging expert for multi-passionate people and creative entrepreneurs, she’s the CEO of Communication Rebel, the host of the Rebel Uprising podcast, and she’s been featured in Inc. and Fast Company. With a PHD in Communication and 25+ years of experience working with everyone from individual service providers to Fortune 50 corporations, she’s a literal expert at taking complex messages and breaking them down into powerful and persuasive bits to backbone a marketing strategy. In today’s episode, she’s walking us through exactly how to create your own 3-word rebellion, for both your business and yourself if you’re NOT a business owner, so there’s a little something for everyone.

2.) Specific Steps to Help you Thrive Through Transitions – with Karen Herbert If you’ve not one to love change, today’s episode with certified coach Karen Herbert may CHANGE your mind – no pun intended. Karen specializes in helping empty nesting and almost-empty-nesting moms thrive through transition and create the purpose they crave in the next season of life – but really, she’s an expert in transitions in GENERAL and is sharing ALL the specific steps and practical tips today to help you thrive in your own next stage, whatever it may be. Today we’re talking about the difference between change and transition, and also the differences between having a victim or fear energy and a confidence energy (and how to transition from one to the other). Karen also helps get rid of mom guilt, whether you’re an empty nesting mom or a new mom with young kiddos, and shares actual examples of the best ways to give advice to young adults for it to be accepted, respected…and even sought after.

3.) Making Friends as a Grown Up (Am I doing this right?) – with Amy Weatherly + Jess Johnston If you’ve ever found yourself striking up friendly conversation with your barista or trying to hit it off with moms at preschool pickup, yearning for deeper connection and thinking…am I doing this right?!…today’s episode is for you. National bestselling authors and creators of the hit online community Sister I Am With You, Amy Weatherly and Jess Johnston, are the best friends we all wish we had, and they’re on THRIVE to drop their best tips (+ laughs) for developing deeper friendships as a grown up. We talk how to really “find your tribe” and outgrow your inner middle schooler, how to be a GOOD friend, get over awkwardness in the beginning, and get through sadness in the end if a friendship breakup happens. Amy and Jess keep it so real and so fun, and you’ll leave this episode ready to call up your besties for hugs and happy hour.

4.) She was almost Sex Trafficked…but Survived – with Chandler Hatchett Sex trafficking and exploitation has increased 40% since the pandemic. There are an estimated 750,000 predators online at any given time. There are currently 40.3 million people enslaved in the world – roughly 1 in every 200 people. Human trafficking is a hard reality in our world today, but we’re hoping to shine a light in the darkness and spark an important, necessary conversation. My friend Chandler was made victim of a sex trafficking attempt in Miami, and she’s bravely and boldly sharing her story today so that we can all become more informed on the horrific reality of trafficking in our world and country. Chandler also shares some important personal safety tips that she has since learned and put into practice to stay alert, tips on teaching your kids and keeping them as safe as possible (including online), and the best ways to get involved in your own community. We’re in this together. Please take a stand against human trafficking with us.

MARCH’S BESTSELLERS:

Top sellers are pulled from my analytics data, where I can see what YOU guys shopped + clicked the most all month long! No worries – it doesn’t tell me what all was in someone’s cart, or who bought what? But it’s helpful for me to see what’s most popular with the CURowd, and hopefully helpful/fun for YOU to see what fellow readers are shopping, too!

1.) Toddler Cinderella swimsuit – If you’re got a little girl and an upcoming Disney trip on the books, this is such a ridiculously adorable swimmy. Actually…if you’ve got a little girl who loveloveloves the Princesses, get her one anyway. TOO PRECIOUS, and from a small shop!

2.) Tropic glow body butterThe most magical, satisfying dupe to the near-$50 Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. It’s from the drugstore, under $10, and a PERFECT dupe!

3.) Amazon slippers – The $20 “save” counterpart to the splurgy $85 UGG slippers.

4.) Colorfulkoala leggings – These are the *BEST* Amazon versions of the $98 Lululemon Align pants. I have something like 10 rumored “dupes” at this point, and these are the only ones I legitimately mix up with my Lulus if I don’t read the label first! I’ve got maybe 5 pairs at this point?

5.) Quilted dress – The cutest Target dress – under $30, SO SOFT like sweatpants, doesn’t wrinkle, and has POCKETS. Add to cart!

6.) Maybelline lippy – The drugstore lippy to get the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk look for less! Have loveloveloved this lip formula for *years* and have about 4-5 shades in my makeup collection at this point.

7.) Miss Mouth’s stain remover – This stuff is a MUST in my bag + laundry room and will be forevermore. It blows my mind how well it works…it makes bold claims and stands by them, getting out *everything*. You see stains disappear actively before your eyes. Truly insane and worth every penny to have on hand!

8.) Y2K flower cardigan – Because apparently the 2000’s are back. 😉

9.) Self tanner lotion – My very favorite – a natural, chemical-free, buildable self-tanner that won’t leave you orange or streaky and graduates to your desired shade. PLUS I reached out to the brand to see if they could hook us up – and they so kindly passed along code ERICATAN25 to give you 25% off (!!!) your order! Stock up!

10.) Wrist key ring – I couldn’t live without one of these at this point – a fabulous gift idea or stocking stuffer for her anytime, but especially great for mamas or ladies with their hands full!
