1 Thing, 3 Ways: Barefoot Dreams Cardigan (NSale Edition!)

…Is it Friday yet? Legit, I have no clule what day of the week it is. Gimme a hot sec…

*checks calendar*

OK, hump day. OY. It’s been a long one, friends. Anyone else been ready for this weekend since…last weekend? Ha! IDK if it was the whole full blood moon/total lunar eclipse thing or mercury being in retrograde again or WHAT, but something’s in the water lately for what feels like everyone and their mom. Have you felt it, too??

ANYHOO. Since real life is a bit of a hot mess express right about now, I’m needing today to just unwind with something more frivolous + fun: fashion. Specifically, comfy AF fashion. So here we are, face-to-face with what just may be the comfiest AF brand on the face of the planet: Barefoot Dreams.

If ya caught yesterday’s post with July’s Favorites, you’d have seen this bad boy + three others in the family after the damage done in this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. They made the Favorites list the SECOND they came outta the bag, yo. I had heard SO much hyper about Barefoot Dreams everything, since word on the street was that they felt like fluffy clouds of squishy soft comfort straight outta heaven’s gates.

Word on the street was right.

I bit the bullet, I drank the Koolaid, I get the hype.

Y’all, Barefoot Dreams is where. it’s. at.

. Which my mom pulled outta my shopping bag, tried on, and promptly said, “Oh, you bought this for me right? It’s AMAZING!” And when she found out it was, in fact, not for her, we had to go straight to the computer and order one for her STAT. And another one for me justbecause. And for me from my mama for my baby shower while we were at it Seriously, if you need a gift idea for literally ANY female on your list this year, whether it be for an upcoming birthday, bridal/baby shower – heck, even housewarming – Barefoot Dreams will do the trick.

Yes, it’s a pricier sweater. BUT. It’s 100% worth every penny, I swear. After shopping a few, I ended up going through my *entire* sweater slash cardigan collection and getting rid of SO MUCH that was worn out, scratchy, or that had been in there since college or before – because you are WORTH wrapping yo’self up in this soft, buttery, Barefoot Dreams goodness. Ain’t nobody got time for scratchy wools or itchy fabrics when this heavensent brand exists in the world. You guys know I’m ALL ABOUT a good deal/bargain, but this is worth the investment. Pinky promise.

SO. Especially since the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is ending in a few days, I wanted to share how I styled this Barefoot Dreams cardigan specifically three different ways, since I think they’re surprisingly versatile and not *just* for being in comfy grandma-mode on the couch! Anything + everything Barefoot Dreams always sells out SO DANG FAST in the Sale, so the fact that you can still grab this one is *clutch*. I’d pounce on this while you can, peeps!

(Comes in 4 colors – I’m wearing the S/M!) // (As seen in July’s Favorites, too…one of my top 3 NSale purchases! On sale for $29.90, SO flattering, and just an all-around winner. I’m wearing the S and have in both black + olive!) // (Also part of the Nordstrom Sale – I bought in leopard, , + . These mules have been my top seller of the sale, so clearly y’all lovelovelove ’em as much as me! They run TTS.) // (c/o)

An easy, work-appropriate way to wear a Barefoot Dreams cardigan is by simply throwing it on over your favorite basic dress! Really, it works for work OR play, especially knowing how dang versatile this dress is. 😉 Especially in transitioning seasons, when you can’t predict the weather OR the A/C, it’s good to just be prepared across the board – so always having a great cardi on hand is key.

In mixing neutrals, too, any of the Barefoot Dreams color options would work here! Since we’re keeping accessories as the only pops of print/color, you can mix neutrals to feel stylish + put together without feeling too fashion-y.

(Comes in 4 colors – I’m wearing the S/M!) // //  (The BEST black leggings around – and still on sale for $35!!!!! I have 3 pairs – I wear XS typically and S while pregnant. And just bought , too, and am in lovelovelove.) // Nikes (similar , , + ) // Foster Grant sunglasses (c/o) // Necklace (from my trip to Arizona!)

This Barefoot Dreams cardigan in particular is kinda cool for its wearability with athleisure! I mean, I think all Barefoot Dreams is wearable with gym clothes, but this one in particular adds cool texture since it’s got the shaggy grandma vibe goin’ on. I’m here for it.

An idea with this look – regardless of whether or not you’re going for an athleisure vibe – is mixing textures. You could swap out the Nikes for riding boots and the look would still hold – it just would look more like a perfect fall day. But the sleek, smooth leggings contrast well with the furry look of the sweater.

(Comes in 4 colors – I’m wearing the S/M!) // (The winner of our white t-shirt contest! I’m wearing a black bra with it here and legit NO SEE THROUGH) // // (Part of the NSale + still in stock…they come in so many colors, too!) // Necklace (from my trip to Arizona!)

This look is a favorite of mine! Clearly I’ve got a thing for mixing neutrals right about now. 😉 But here, I’m mixing neutrals AND adding that pop o’ color that y’all know I lovelovelove. I’m also really into knotting tees up lately; I think that’s stemming from styling my bump, since for awhile it was/has been in this weird phase of not really being “popped”, but being too big to fit my clothes per usual. So this skirt is pulled up OVER it – and not knotting the tee would mean I’d have some weird proportional issues happening with the shirt hanging too far over the skirt. Knotting the tee up also helps elongate your legs for that mile-high effect (bless).

are favorites from the NSale, too. I’m really into the cut/shape on the top, since the pointed toe + cutting-in is such a slimming effect on your foot.

While this look has mixed textures, too, I made care to not have any textures *clashing* with the Barefoot Dreams cardigan. So it’s subtle!

Do you have a Barefoot Dreams cardigan yet?

If not, DO IT. And do it for your best friend, your sister, your mama, and your third cousin twice removed while you’re at it. 😉

See the last thing we styled 3 ways here – it’s also included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! And see ALL things 3 ways here.

Also, happy hump. I hope you get over it with grace + gumption.

You can do it.

You can.

And so can I.

Let’s do this.
