Judging by my Instagram newsfeed, you would think we’re in the thick of a heat wave, because everyone and their mom seems to be poolside with a piña colada. I mean, sign a sistah up! Really, I think we’re all in agreement that winter can be gone for good (at least until peppermint mocha season rolls around again – ha!) and spring has sprung. So bring on the blossoms and bikinis! I’ve been adding to my Amazon cart like it’s my JOB as of late, and I’ve done quite a bit of damage in the swimwear department. Amazon swimsuits can be hit or miss, which I know since I’ve gotten QUITE a few over the years now. But in my latest Amazon haul, I found 10 options that are all A+ worthy. Each of these Amazon swimsuits are under $30, has padding and/or cups, and is one I’d wholeheartedly recommend to my best friend – so I’m totally comfortable + confident recommending to YOU, too. 🙂
Swimsuits are one of those though things that you don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for, but still need great quality – ain’t nobody got time for boobage or slippage or any of the other mishaps that could inevitably happen poolside. So I was really picky in choosing which swimsuits to share here, to ensure that there is a good variety for different bodies/preferences!
I’ll be posting a full video try-on Amazon swimsuits haul to my Instastories today (@ericaligenza – follow me there to not miss it!) so that you can see a more interactive look at each suit. The studded flip flops I’m wearing in it are here – they’re under $20 and Valentino lookalikes! Another thing to note that I mention towards the end of the session –
Every body is a beach body.
I know I’m guilty of sometimes comparing myself or my life to the curated highlights that others choose to share. We all do it. But pleasepleaseplease remember that the BEST swimsuit in the world is the one that makes you feel like a rockstar.
We all have things we wish were a little different about our bodies; I have cellulite on my thighs post-baby and rolls under my butt cheeks and knees that have been absurdly crooked my whole life. It is what it is. No matter what your body looks like, focus on finding that suit that YOU will lovelovelove, and VOILA – you’re ready for the beach. You already have a beach body because guess what? You have a body! No need to do any sortof crazy workout or crazy diet to be “beach” ready – just don’t forget the SPF and you’re good to go. 😉
*steps off soapbox and into Swimsuit #1*
1.) Black and white ruffle one piece – Under $20
Has removable cups! This one reminds me of a suit I brought on our honeymoon a few years ago, but better because it has cups. I don’t know how any girl can go cup-less and be comfortable – if that’s you, more power to ya, sistah! I, for one, am just forever paranoid that someone is gonna see nipple. No thanks, cups it is. The ruffles are a cute detail, especially for any smaller-chested chicas like me, since it adds a little volume up top. Ha!
The super open back is a sexier element, while the booty is fuller-coverage. Would be a great option for any “sexier” tropical vacay with your honey, or something like a bachelorette!
2.) Palm leaf one piece – Around $30
Cups + free shipping! This one doesn’t look EXACTLY like in the picture online, but that might be because of different cuts of the pattern being used on different suits. So every suit is slightly unique! It has 219+ 4-star reviews, so that’s a win. And I lovelovelove the security of the back cross-strap and the coverage of the boo-tay. Makes for another great one-piece option that’s still on the “sexier” side o’ life, definitely good for any tropical vacation on the calendar!
Comes in 8 different pattern/print options.
3.) Cut-out one piece – Less than $28
Prime-able, has cups, 10+ colors/prints, and nearly 500 4.5-star reviews!!! I’ve got the lemon print in my cart. 😉 This is the most full-coverage booty of the bunch, I think, and is probably the best option for any active swimmers or mamas in the house. Whether you’re chasing waves or toddlers, it’s staying put in place!
4.) Rainbow cut out one piece – Under $20
This bad boy comes in 12 colors/prints and is also Primeable! FUN FACT: I messed it up. Ha! It comes with a smaller strip of striped fabric that you’re supposed to tie between your boobs as a cute little knotted element – and I totally missed that memo until looking at it again on Amazon and putting two and two together. Whoops! Goes to show it looks cute either way.
5.) Polka dot bikini – Less than $22
Itsy bitsy teeny weeny polka dot bikini alert! This cutie comes in 6 color options + is also on Prime. Lovelovelove the high-waist, as well as the pretty ruffle details to add some volume up top. This would be a cute one if you’ve got any Disney trips on your upcoming calendar – all the Minnie Mouse vibes without being too bold about it!
6.) Scalloped one-shoulder bikini – Under $25
Alllll the Jane of the Jungle vibes for this fun bikini! The scallops. The high-waist. The one-shoulder. Even the dark jade color – I’m here for all of it. Not to mention, it’s full coverage in the back + stays in place! So, another great option for more active vacationing. #RoomForActivities. Comes in 8 colors and is on Prime!
7.) Pom pom bikini (designer lookalike!) – Under $30
This bad boy is a near-identical lookalike for this $150+ swimsuit! It’s also available on Prime and comes in 12 color options, including a striped one that’s another designer alternative. The top is your typical string bikini tie; the little pom pom details are the CAAAAUTEST.
8.) Black and white ruffle bikini – Under $21
For my fellow smaller-busted girls, ADD TO CART. This fun ruffley top adds juuuuuust enough vavavoom. 🙂 The high-waist is also really flattering + comfortable! The straps are removable so you could go strapless if ya want. Also on Prime, and comes in red + blue, too!
9.) Strapless leopard bikini – Under $27
Would it even be me without something leopard print???? 😉 I wasn’t 100% sure how I’d feel about this one, since it’s a.) strapless, and b.) cheeky. Normally I steer clear of anything + everything strapless…tops, dresses, swimsuits, the works. I end up fussing the whole time and feeling less-than-comfortable. This one, though. THIS ONE. This is hands down my favorite strapless swim top I’ve ever owned. It feelts like it actually stays PUT without needing to constantly touch or pull it up. (Also has cups in there!). The bottoms are high-waisted and are a bit cheekier in the back, so be forewarned; if you’re looking for full coverage, not the bottoms for you. But definitely fierce and perf for a fun girls trip to the tropics! (Or to the Jersey shore – hollah!)
10.) Retro polka dot bikini – Under $22
ALL THE MINNIE MOUSE VIBES. If you’re heading to Disney…please buy this yesterday. Also lovelovelove the retro feel! Another high-waisted bottom (can ya tell I’ve got a thing for high waists? 😉 ) with flattering ruching on the sides. The top has removable straps, too, and it’s a fuller-coverage top (as WELL as full-coverage bottoms). Also is the only suit here with an underwire!
3 NON- AMAZON SWIMSUIT BONUSES:
1.) Seersucker bikini – $40.80 with ERICA15
Before buying this swimsuit, I had no clue that “true” seersucker has this sortof puckered look to it – ha! Another high-waisted bikini (surprise, surprise…). The top straps could be worn off-shoulder OR on top of the shoulder if you prefer – I just *think* they were more meant to be worn slightly off like this! Cute little bow in the center to tie it all together. Get a discount with my exclusive code for y’all: ERICA15. (Code should work on anything from the whole boutique, FYI, so #TreatYoSelf!)
2.) Rainbow striped one piece – $42
Classic rainbow-striped one-piece with a low back (lovelovelove the back!). A note on this one: I sized up to a Medium strictly for length purposes, since I have a long torso and had a feeling this would be on the shorter side. It works for length (I’m 5′ 7″), but it has a *bit* extra fabric in the body now (which you can see in the closer-up pic – just a tad extra!). So just note for sizing purposes!
3.) Sheer ruffle one piece – $46
THIS SUIT. I got this a few years ago before it sold out like wildfire. It came back this season on ONE WEBSITE – this one. In white AND in black. It’s already sold out once, got restocked…so grab it STAT, folks. Doesn’t get much cuter than this.
