Shoes…shoes…let’s get some shoes…LET’S GET ‘EM! (Name that 2006 viral video – and go!). It’s seemed like you guys are loveloveloving the style roundups we’ve been sharing lately (ie sweatshirts for spring, Amazon swimsuits under $30, etc!), so we’re back at it again today with a spring shoe capsule, featuring 10 spring shoes that are 100% worthwhile additions to your closet, for anything + everything upcoming on your calendar! This was a fun post last year, too, so here’s hoping it’s helpful in finding your new favorite pair. 🙂 Whether you’ve got a wedding coming up, a bridal or baby shower, a work event, or – heck – nothing beyond chasing around the kids, you deserve to treat yo’self to a new pair of shoes. These run the gamut in price, from as low as $11 to around $150, so there’s something for every budget + every occasion. I’ve also tried categorizing them as best possible, from the must-have for the office to a great statement-maker, etc, so that you can prioritize accordingly. 😉 Let’s get some spring shoes!
The Work Shoe:
I’ve talked about Everlane’s Day Heel before, and I won’t be stopping anytime soon. #CantStopWontStop. I kid you not when I say this is the most comfortable heel I’ve ever put on my foot, ever. In the history of EVER. Sure, it’s not the tallest heel on the block. But if you want/need a heel for the offices, chances are, you’re leaving your six inch stilettos at home anyways. 😉 I know this isn’t the cheapest heel out there, but the quality shines through in every penny. 100% worth the price tag. So much so that I’m buying at LEAST one other pair, if not two. Why suffer through uncomfortability, blisters, and rub marks if you’ve got a pair that’s wearable all day long with none of the above???
The Wedge:
A good wedge is always a good idea, and an espadrille wedge at that is an essential for spring. They work with everything from raw hem jeans to flowy skirts or frilly shorts, and can be dressed up AND down. Granted, not all espadrille wedges are created equal – some are clunkier or heavier than others, which is definitely something to watch out for. Marc Fisher made a few seasons back that went near-viral on everyone and their mom’s Instagram feed and keeps coming back, but…it’s $150.
I lovelovelove this – only $34.99 AND part of a BOGO 50% off sale right now! It comes in 4 color varieties – mine is the blush, but each is a nice neutral that will mix + match your spring wardrobe.
The Statement Sandal:
I saw these all over my Instagram feed this time last year and never pulled the trigger…enter, regret. So the second I saw them hit online shelves this season, you can bet your bottom dollar I hit #AddToCart and never looked back. Obviously I’m a big pearl girl, so you didn’t have to tell me twice that they were pretty AND versatile. I lovelovelove the triple strap detailing, too, since it’s just such a unique twist. They’re comfortable to wear and don’t rub – another important factor!
The Mule:
Not sure what it even was about these that caught my eye, but it was lovelovelove at first sight! So much so that I incentivized myself to hit a huge work goal by promising myself to hit buy once I hit a project deadline. Turned out, I had a handful of Nordstrom notes saved up, and I ended up having to put down a BENJAMIN??? and they were mine.
They’re selling out *fast* at this point, so if you see your size, snag it STAT!
The Sneaker: Dr. Scholl’s sneaker
If I had to pick one favorite shoe as of late, even though they’re sneakesr…I think these would be it. I mean, they made last month’s Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove list, so you know they’re goodies. 😉 But holy moly, folks. The comfiest sneaks I ever did wear. These are the kinda shoes I call “Disney” shoes, since they could legit weather the wear of endless miles around Walt Disney World parks without a single blister or pain. Which seriously says something!
The Party Heel: Studded heel
A showstopper heel is a spring staple, especially with the litany of events that pop up around this time of year! From weddings to showers to bachelorettes, the good times roll as soon as the temperature heats up, and the skirts + dresses come out to play. These bad boys are near-identical alternatives to the famous Valentino rockstud heel. Anytime I wear them without fail, I’m stopped. Literally on the street, by strangers, just to compliment and/or ask about the shoes. Whether you’re pairing with a simple solid so that the shoe makes the statement, or pairing alongside a print as a “neutral” shoe, they work. They’re $900+ cheaper than their designer lookalike, so they won’t break the bank. And you’ll get so much wear from them since they go with everything!
The Flip Flop:
I’ve never been one for fancier flip flops, but the Miller sandals are 100% worth the splurge. We chatted about this briefly on Instastories recently, and it was fun to hear from a few of you who are currently on the same fence I was on a couple of years back now. I decided to pull a #TreatYoSelf and add them to my collection, and to this day I’m so glad I did. They’re classy + comfy, and they match every single thing in my closet. A total step-up from your basic flip flop – and they don’t make that flapping sound in hitting the bottom of your foot.
Plus, they’re just so dang comfortable. Never had a blister or rub mark, and I’ve had mine for probably 3ish years now??
The Shiny Slide:
Another so-good-they-brought-it-back sandal – but I had the wits to pick up this pair last year instead of recovering from FOMO this year like with my pearl sandals. Ha! 😉 are only $22.99, AND they’re part of a BOGO 50% off sale right now, so they’re basically an obvious addition to your shoe shelf. Another really versatile pair since they work as a statement AND as a neutral, and the sparkles are just fun for the new season. They also come in a black base instead of the neutral tan, but I’m personally a big fan of how the tannish neutral complements the sparkle nicely and keeps it from being in-your-face.
The Platform:
Dr. Scholl’s does it again!!! Seriously, the doc knows what’s up. There are not one, not two, but THREE pairs of Dr. Scholl’s shoes in this spring shoe capsule, because they’re just so dang good, yo! If I had 10 pairs, it’d be a capsule of just the doctor’s orders. 😉 TBH, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about these platforms at first. I was afraid the top piece of fabric would rub at my toes and cause blisters, or that my foot would get too hot inside and sweat (ew). Au contraire, they’re as comfy as can be!
THE BEST PART: There is arch support!!!! Too-flat shoes don’t typically fair well with me because I’ve got a *high* arch, so flatness can cause soreness REAL quick if I’m not careful. These literally have a bit of support so that you aren’t flat-footed all day, which I wholeheartedly appreciate. Platforms like this are another that can go either way in terms of versatility, working dressed up AND down, whether you’re wearing with a t-shirt and shorts or with a pretty dress in lieu of heels. (Since they had height with the platform, they’re v effective like that!) Also comes in black!
The Pop of Color:
The last winner winner chicken dinner from Dr. Scholl’s is this GORGEOUS powder blue heel – I mean, I am straight up obsessed. It also comes in black and taupe, if you’re not feeling blue. The best part? They’re 25% off right now, making them under $60!!! If you have an upcoming event on the calendar, this is your shoe. If you’re wearing a neutral color (ie. black, white, blush, beige, grey, etc), wear the blue. Otherwise, pick your poison based on the rest of the ensemble.
These are another where it’s just the most comfortable dang thing! Zero pain, zero blisters, zero rubbing – another reaaaaally worthwhile option in the spring shoes department.
Which spring shoes are your favorite?
If you’re adding any to your cart, let me know – I can’t wait to hear which ones you fall in lovelovelove with yourself!
