7 Spring Shoes your Closet Needs Now

Happy TUESDAY. Two things.

1.) Didja see my hair transformation yet??? Peep my Instastories to see what I did… 😉 (@ericaligenza)

2.) Didja watch the Bachelor finale last night and/or are you watching the After the Final Rose tonight and what are your thoughts because holy CRAP do I have lots of thoughts, and most of them revolve around throwing something at Arie’s head…good Lord almighty. Some boys shouldn’t be allowed to date until they’re 40 and then some. So many feels, none of them good.

Yannno what’s better than boys?

Shoes.

Shoes will never break your heart.

Shoes will never propose to you when 3 hours earlier they were in love with another woman.

Shoes will never say yes to broadcasting your engagement’s breakup on national television and then go back to the other woman asking for her to take you back.

So let’s talk shoes. Specifically, spring shoes. Shoes that are prime for picking right about now, to wear now AND as the weather gets its ish together and heats the heck up. (Like these 18 transitional pieces that you could/should buy STAT if you’re looking to stock up on pieces wearable now through May).

All 7 of these spring shoes are from my own closet, so you KNOW they’re the real deal in my heart. 😉 I chose from the best of the best spring shoes and picked a variety of heels/flats, casual/dressy, so that you’ve essentially got a full arsenal right here, sans sneakers/suuuuuuper casual kicks.

1. Dr. Scholl’s suede slides

I first experienced these puppies at Fashion Week. One of my girlfriends had them on, and we’re the same size, so OBBBBBVIOUSLY I had to try ’em on amiright?! They were so dang comfortable, they almost left in the wrong suitcase. 😉 Ha! They’ve got this cushion-y support inside, so they’re seriously comfy AF for all-day wear, which is hella important to me (and I’m sure to so many of you, too, since you’re a buncha bossbabes!). Once I found them on Amazon for less than $50 (I was seeing them around $80 elsewhere), I added to cart so fast it wasn’t even funny. AND you can Prime it! #bless

They’re what I was wearing at the salon yesterday for my hair transformation (SPOILER ALERT: It’s on my Instastories @ericaligenza!) – they’re so dang versatile and so dang comfortable and so dang cute, I just cannot. Also come in beige suede, black suede, + a gorgeous black leather!

When I walked in the Rebecca Minkoff Soho store and saw these, I legit gasped out loud. I mean ARE THESE ME OR ARE THESE ME?!? They just had me sold the second I laid eyes on ’em! They’re more of a splurge for being more of a statement shoe, but here me out: totally worth every penny. They’re surprisingly COMFY. (Can we tell that girlfriend’s got a thing for comfy? Ha!) The block heels makes them wearable all day long, because there’s such support on your foot. They’re a snug fit, too, so there’s no weird slippage or risk of faceplanting from tripping on your own two feet.

Also comes in a gorgeous that my girlfriend went home with, and solid black for a more neutral look! The black is gorgeous, too, if you want/need a black heeled sandal for springtime but want something that doesn’t feel “basic” – the braiding keeps things interesting + chic!

This is my more “basic” black heel, and it’s just an essential! I have a pair of Steve Madden Carrson heels which are another super popular, similar-looking style, but TBH, I prefer these. The heel feels more manageable in these (it might be sliiiiiightly smaller?), so it’s just easier to walk in for hours. They come in approximately a bajillion and one colors. (Or 15, to be exact 😉 ). Definitely a perfect option if/when you’ve got a fancier occasion – whether you want a simpler heel to keep the dress the statement or want the shoes to stand out, this style has ya covered!

Monograms have just had my HEART lately, y’all. I didn’t own a single monogrammed item pre-marriage, so as soon as we tied the knot I went a little cray cray. Can ya blame me?! 😉 FYI, the “proper” way to monogram once you’re married (if you change your name, of course) is your first initial on the left, your new, married last name big in the middle, and then your MAIDEN name initial on the far right. #TheMoreYouKnow

These loafers are just darling. I wasn’t sure how comfortable they’d end up being, since I’ve had some less-than-stellar loafer experiences in the past. Given the fit/cut of loafers, I think sometimes they just rub in all the wrong places and can end up being worse than some heels! But not these. I’ve been able to wear them for full days with zero rub marks or blisters whatsoever, so that’s a #win in my book.

They come in a pretty plaid print, too, which would be so cute in fall! Is it bad that it’s not even springtime yet and I’m craving a brisk fall day? No worries, just bracing for the next Noreaster snowstorm over here instead…

These bad boys just feel chic as heck. They’re a bit different and unlike anything else I had on my shoe shelf, so I’m challenging myself to style outfits around them specifically for spring to step outside my style comfort zone! I think they’d work perfectly with my favorite ponte pants (as seen styled three ways in this post), or pairing with boyfriend jeans would be such a cool casual-chic closet cocktail. They’d also be super cute with a little floral dress or fun ruffled skirt.

I lovelovelove the look of classic Chanel cap-toed flats or pumps. They’re just so dang CLASSY. But…ain’t nobody got $1,000+ for a pair of pumps. These look juuuuuuust like the real deal, but for a clear fraction of the price! They’re available in more sizes here, + on sale in another color variation (for under $65!) + under $60 in the tan/black + black-on-black !

If you need classic + conservative-ish heels for work, but don’t just want a basic black pump, these are perfect. They’re not boring, they’re a recognizable style, they’re neutral enough to wear with anything in your closet (including everything you keep recycling your old black heels for!), + they work in every season! Minus winter, when it’s like UGG boots or bust. 😉

7. Valentino Rockstud lookalike

In case you’re not convinced that I am, in fact, the queen of lookalikes – feast your eyes, girlfriends. These look *exactly* like actual Valentino’s, and you’re saving a couple hundred bucks along the way. Actually, you’re saving $930 cos these bad boys are literally less than $50. I MEAN. #YoureWelcome 😉  I also have the studded pumps and heeled sandals that are Valentino Rockstud lookalikes, and they’re all fantastic lookalikes and fantastic quality at fantastic price points.

What kinda spring shoes are you adding to your closet now?

I would say “BRB buying all the shoes,” but these are all already on my shoe shelf! 😉 So now it’s *your* turn to #AddToCart.

Happy TUESDAY + happy shopping…thanks for hanging out per usual, friends!
