TGIF, friends. Thankyousomuch to everyone who reached out with such awesome words after yesterday’s announcement – it was such a sweet moment to share finally, and your excitement with us made it all the better! So, as always, thankyou. 🙂 In today’s news, while going through my absurdly cluttered camera roll on my flight to St. Louis last weekend, I ended up finding a few of your most recent Q’s that came through over DM, email, etc, and had screenshot to not forget. SO, since it’s been a hot sec, time for a little #AskE Q&A post! Alongside it, I knew from the moment it came in the mail that I just had to share this watercolor tank with you guys. It’s by the same brand as the dress in this post – actually, that dress comes in this red print, and this tank comes in that blue print, too!
(c/o – also comes in blue, white, + black! SUCH a beautiful, flattering, breathable piece!) // Wrangler jeans (c/o) // (c/o – also comes in a neutral!) // Sunglasses (Under $15 on Amazon Prime, designer lookalike to $400+ Gucci pair!) //
Hey lady! I need advice! I’m getting married and I want beautiful skin. I use all organic stuff now and I love it, but sometimes I still feel like I get rough patches and stuff! And anything for hair/skin/nails?? Like vitamin wise? Help!
Of COURSE you want beautiful skin for your wedding day, girlfriend! But honestly, not a problem to want beautiful skin every day. We’ll all have our off days, but I think it’s possible!
If you’ve been following along for a hot sec, at this point you probably know how much I lovelovelove for skincare products and use strictly Tula products leading up to any big event or anything where I need my skin to be as perfect as possible. I talk about them all the time on my blog/social media because they legit work WONDERS, especially in getting everything all balanced out! The word “tula” literally means “balance” in sanskrit I believe, so it makes sense. But *anytime* I’m experiencing anything iffy with my skin, whether that’s a breakout, a weird patch of something, redness, you name it – I switch to entirely Tula products until it resolves. And it never fails to get back to balance in that sense! Tula products are also good for all skin types, so that’s also a plus, and you can get a with a few products instead of all full-size to try everything out before investing in bigger size products. AND they gave me a discount code since I always share them with you guys, so you can save 20% on anything, too! My personal fave products by them are the cleanser, the pH resurfacing gel (I have normal-oily skin, so I use this like a toner and on any breakout!), the exfoliating face mask (a GREAT clay mask), and the Hydrating Day + Night Cream (again, oilier skin over here, so this is a great moisturizer for all skin types in that it legit hydrates without leaving you greasy). And their latest launch, , is quickly making its way to my Tula faves list, too! With my own skin, I always struggled with feeling all different things on different areas of my face at the same time – I could have an oily T-zone, redness on my cheeks, and dry patches all together! So the fact that Tula evens everything out and keeps it that way is SO GOOD, in my opinion – there are probiotics in all of their products and they abide by a big inside-out approach for overall skinhealth, so highly recommend.
What’s your Tula discount code – mind sharing it again?
Sure thaaaang! (+ perfect timing 😉 ) My Tula code is COMINGUPROSES, and it gets you (+ free shipping if you hit the right amount!)
Which do you think is the better splurge: Lululemon Align or Spanx leggings? My larger stomach is the problem, along with tiny legs. Oh, and I’m freaking short!
It depends on what you’re wanting them for! (And for this, I’m talking specifically Lululemon Aligns versus Spanx faux leather leggings, since those are both the specific kinds that I have personally!)
are great, I think, for everyday athleisure, running errands, working out, etc. They’re more of an athletic look + feel.
, on the other hand, are great for everyday wear, particularly in cooler/cold months, and more with a casual outfit. They’re more of a style asset that has a very practical benefit (being Spanx – ha!).
I’d say that if you’re concerned about your tummy and want to pull it in as much as possible or conceal it in some way, Spanx are worthwhile. Lululemons don’t have a suck-in factor, at least from my experience. Only thing is that with Lululemons, you can account for height with the legging lengths (“7/8″ is a bit of a shorter cut, etc!). So weigh which of those is more important to you in your leggings, if you’re choosing between the two!
If/when you can, grab a pair of each. They do different things + are good for different styles and seasons, so you’ll get good wear from both and they won’t compete with each other in your closet.
(Also, I shared a full blog post on less than $25 Lululemon Lookalikes from Amazon – definitely a worthwhile read, since you can then get the Spanx AND the almost-Lulus…ha!).
Who are some of your best style inspirations?
I always lovelovelove Blake Lively’s style, but otherwise I tend to just turn to Instagram for inspo if/when needed! Some of my faves for everyday style are @kateireneblue, @livingmybeststyle, @thesisterstudioig, @dressupbuttercup, and my friend @stylethegirl!
I need my fashion guru – I am blanking on a top I need for a concert in July. I want it to be cute, sexy – but not overly sexy – and simple.
This one from Amazon is a winner – lovelovelove the pleat details + the lacy bits at the shoulders! It’s not even $20 + on Prime, so total winner – especially for anything last minute. I sized up to a Medium in mine! This is another fun one-shoulder option that’s also super affordable (under $15 + Amazon Prime). I’ll share a few other cute options here…
What curling iron do you use?? You got the perfect curls!
I have a few curling irons, but I always find myself going back to . It never fails! (+ I always pair with ).
Got any Q’s you want A’d in a future #AskE post? Would lovelovelove to know!
