If you know me, you know I lovelovelove a good dupe. You also know I lovelovelove Amazon. I’ve shared designer dupes before, and designer dupes on Amazon specifically. Today, I’m stoked to highlight Lululemon dupes that are SO GOOD, I’m actually shooketh.
But let me rewind a hot sec.
I went years without ever having touched Lululemon anything. Over two decades. Lululemon was always this goddess brand in my mind, of prime athleisure only fit for truly fit queens. During my cross country and track days back in high school, when I was likely in my own athletic prime running 3-6 miles every single day, I probably would’ve pulled a TREAT YO’SELF if I hit a goal or had adopted the mantra to the degree 25-year-old me has. 😉 But alas, I was a broke teenager, so the only lemons I had was the family mini van I was driving to practice everyday. Ha! (JK, she wasn’t a lemon…but you get my point!)
For one thing or another, I decided probably about a year ago to #invest in a pair of Lululemon Align pants. And don’t get me wrong: I’m glad I did. So much so that J put a second pair under the Christmas tree for me.
What’s all the Lululemon hype?
I think the biggest thing here is that they’re a.) buttery soft, b.) sweat-wicking, and c.) basically like a second skin. There’s no denying their comfortability, and the fact that they’re workable for working out AND for just looking like you’re working out is a win-win. Lululemon leggings also have Lycra fiber for stretch + shape retention, which is essentially spandex (Lycra is just a name brand version of it – fun fact!). The Align Pant is high waisted and has a waistband pocket, too. Here’s what they look like on:
Lululemon Align Pant // White t-shirt (my white t-shirt test of 10 options is here!) // Adidas Superstars // Leopard print hat (on clearance right now after being out of stock forever!) // Olivia name necklace (code ERICA15 for a CUR-exclusive discount!)
Enter, these Lululemon dupes.
There are quite a few leggings out there that are supposed Lululemon dupes, but I was skeptical…until I found these. A few posts ago I shared a few Amazon closet staples that have seriously rocked my spring; when the first pair of these leggings arrived on my doorstep, I quickly tried ’em on and ordered another pair (and at 25 bucks, no pain there!). I have the black in a Small and the pink in an XS, and I honestly don’t see much of a size variation between the two – if you think you’re between sizes, don’t sweat it. 😉 Here’s what THESE look like on:
So, leopard print hat is the look with the real Lululemon Align Pants, and camo print hat are the Lululemon dupes.
Maybe it was intentional, maybe it wasn’t, but these leggings description literally says they were designed to fit “like a second skin” and dubs them “buttery soft,” “sweat-wicking,” with “four-wa3y stretch” and a 28″ inseam…all exactly like Lululemon. They’re also highwaisted AND have the waistband pocket, too.
They’ve got a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if you’re feeling skeptical yourself and looking to compare fully before truly trusting me…try for yourself. 😉
A difference I’ve found between the two:
Lululemon leggings say they’re made with a specific “Nulu” fabric blend. I did a lil’ #research to learn what the heck that truly is, and learned it’s 86% nylon, 14% Lycra. The Lululemon dupes, alternatively, are listed as being 86% polyester, 14% spandex. Lycra and spandex are the same. Nylon and polyester are *almost* the same – the difference is that nylon is softer and stronger than polyester, but polyester is faster dryer and abrasion resistant. One of my *only* complaints with my own Align pants is that I fear pilling, so I can see how this might be a realistic difference between the fabrics.
The biggest key with both: NO. DRYER. I wash on gentle (I wash both with my delicates actually – ha!) in cool water and hang dry.
Both work for working out or just casual wear, too.
Have you found Lululemon dupes anywhere else?
Whether you’ve got these Lululemon dupes in your closet already or another pair, I WANNA KNOW. Drop a comment, yo!
