‘Twas the week before Christmas,
and all through the mall,
every Nordstrom was chaos,
shoppers having a ball.
Can you believe it?! I sure as heck cannot. And neither can the piles of gifts in my living room that need wrapping. Looks like I’ve got a hot date with hot chocolate + wrapping paper tomorrow night!
As if the absolute chaos at every mall intersection wasn’t clue enough, the mad dash for Christmas 2017 is in full swing. But amidst all the mall-going and mistletoeing…whatever to wear?! I’m sharing two Christmas outfit ideas that I KNOW you’ll lovelovelove; both are on super sale right now, too (WOO!), + they’ll arrive on your doorstep right in time for the holidays.
I had ordered both of these two “main” pieces during Black friday, when I went hard at Express. Before that, I had shopped at Express before, but not enough to have an omg Express tho attitude about it. And now…omg Express tho.
If ya caught my Instastories haul of it all, you saw the loot firsthand – it was *good*. And two of my favorites just so happen to be oh so in the spirit, so they’ll likely be my Christmas Eve + Christmas Day ensembles this year.
First up, I styled this amazon green-colored, ruffle fit n’ flare dress. The fit is fabulous – it’s such a flattering cut while being FUN and so easily wearable. It also comes in other colors + is currently 50% off (!!!!!), so choose a few fave colors and #AddToCart. 😉 It’s not too low cut, which I appreciate, and it’s got the cutest ruffles in all the right places. AND, it’s got long sleeves; oftentimes, I feel like long-sleeved anything in wintertime is either grandma-ish and not cute enough for date night, or it’s practically see through and not warm at ALL! This is just a nice satin fabric, so it feels seasonally appropriate + versatile (layer tights underneath or a cardigan over, easily!).

I lovelovelove it with a leopard coat. I mean, leopard IS a neutral… 😉 For Christmas Eve, I’m likely adding black tights to make it through the night.
Quick funny story…we were gungho on finding some Christmas trees to shoot this post at. I mean, duh. 😉 SO we found this lil’ place, but the guys just could not wrap their heads around the fact that we did not, in fact, want to buy a tree. We said, “Oh don’t mind us…we’re just taking pictures!”
“…You mean you don’t want a tree?”
“Haha no thank you – just wanted to take a few photos WITH the trees.”
“…You SURE you don’t want a tree?”
This whole blogging biz is just an anomaly to everyone, I swear. 😉
THESE PANTS THO. Y’all. I never knew how much I needed bold red pants in my life until I tried these on and my life was changed, I kid you not. They’re so insanely flattering + comfortable. The higher waist is obviously one of my favorite things ever; it effectively hides your Christmas cookie food baby while also making your legs look a mile long (win). The single front pleat is classic. And thie is such a true red, it really feels so appropriate for this time of year! A true power pant, I tell ya.
They’re also on super sale right now – 50% off, making them $34.95 – and I can’t stress enough how much you need them. I put these on and automatically felt HAWT + POWERFUL AF. They’re just so confidence-inducing! Go for red if you’re comfortable with it + ready for the challenge of boldness to kickoff your new year (I recommend it 😉 ). Otherwise, they do come in black, too – definitely not as fun or festive, but practical for everyday wear (especially for you working chicas!).

The key with bolder pants is keeping the rest of the ensemble more neutral. So here, I opted for a black-and-white grid print, but a solid white or solid black would also do the trick!
Aaaaaand VOILA. I’m reaaaaally feelin’ both of these looks and think they’d be *perfect* for this week, so #AddToCart while you can, + while everything is on sale like this!!! Seriously, this sale is unreal. I #CantStopWontStop shopping it…RIP credit.
