COOL SH*T I LOVELOVELOVE – Monthly Favorites, April 2021

Let’s just all have the mutual understanding at this point that 2021 is fast and crazy and good and weird and there’s that. MK? MK. At this point in the week (Friday, almost 3 o’clock…), I’ll admit it: I’m spent. This week has been approximately 12 days long, so I’m good n’ ready for the weekend – although our weekend is pretty packed with plans already. Ha! 😉 SO much Cool Sh*t to lovelovelove this month, from my favorite spring eye palette and my favorite subscription box for Olivia, to a designer look-for-less bag and then some. Dig in…

Botox/Dysport

ICYMI…my mom and I got Botox! And we are now obsessed. Botox Believers, if you will. We had SUCH a great experience at what we have no doubt is the Best Philly Botox joint around – Dr. Christian Subbio. I’ll spare ya the extra details here since I whipped up basically a Botox Bible after our experience, so just check that out if you’re curious and/or on the fence yourself!

Walmart check bag

You know I’m all about a good (non-counterfeit) dupe, and this checkered bag is no exception! I’ve actually shared some other faves from this line in past editions of Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove, but this bag specifically deserved its own highlight reel. Namely because I’ve been carrying it for weeks now and don’t want to stop! It’s a great shape + size, has a removable shoulder strap, and fits my purse organizer perfectly. The checkered print is near-idential to the famous Louis Vuitton Damier print without infringing on its copyright. And for only $46, it’s a steal compared to the LV’s heftier pricetag of $1,000+.

Kozyshack cinnamon rice pudding with raisins

Hello my name is Erica and I’m addicted to rice pudding. NO JOKE, YO. How does one get hooked on rice pudding? I have no clue. But here I am. It started off with Kozyshack’s individual rice pudding cups, because that’s what Target had on the random Thursday afternoon when I was first craving it something bad. It has since progressed to Kozyshack’s BIGA$$ tub of *cinnamon* rice pudding WITH RAISINS. Lawdy lawdy, talk about yummy. The entire tub is mine and I spoon-eat right from it. Sorry not sorry, family. Get your own pudding. 😉

Tarte eye palette

The second I saw this beautiful palette, I knew it was my vanity’s spring treat. If a palette were “pretty in pink,” it would be this. It just *screams* spring, right?!? So many roses and pinky neutrals, a good mix of mattes and shimmers, and just a really usable palette for both everyday and special occasions! I’ve been wearing it daily!

Amazon dresses

OK SO FUNNY STORY – I had a brain fog moment where I totally forgot that these funky pom pom things are actually called “Swiss dots,” so ON MY AMAZON LIVESTREAM I called them – you guessed it! – “funky pom pom things.” Face palm, E.

But each of these Swiss dot dresses made it into my closet this season, and I lovelovelove them each like children – equally, but differently. 😉 The black with spaghetti straps is PERFECT for summer and is the most date-night friendly of the bunch. The baby blue option is one I’m wearing THIS WEEKEND actually to a First Holy Communion Party – it would also be precious for a bridal or baby shower, gender reveal, garden party, church, Mother’s Day weekend, etc. The grey one with the biggest Swiss dots is a great sleeveless option for spring/summer, especially for the office when it’s hot – if your office permits sleeveless!

ALL are lined (bless), all are swingy + flattering (double bless), and ALL ARE UNDER $30 (triple blessedy bless).

Amazon jumpsuit

This gem of a jumpsuit is ALSO under $30 and I’m so impressed at the feel and fit. It’s flattering AND comfortable, made well, and rivals boutique jumpsuits in my closet that cost $50+. It’s got pockets (yay!), an elastic cinched drawstring waist, and a clasp closure at the chest. It’s in my cart in black, next – and also comes in a shorts romper version!

Lovevery boxes

RARELY will I repeat favorites in Cool Sh*t because I intentionally try to keep life (+ this series) fresh. 😉 But Lovevery is a brand that might very well deserve its own blog post entirely at this point, because it’s just that darn good. We’ve been getting these for Liv for MONTHS now, and I’m constantly impressed. Essentially, Lovevery has a subscription box service for kiddos that provide developmentally-relevant activities every 3-ish months. They ALSO have stand alone activities, accessories, etc that are great for gifting or just adding into your collection as need be. Everything about this brand and these boxes is just SO impressive. The toys are beautifully made. The boxes are thoughtfully curated. The activities are so stimulating and relevant to developmental milestones and beyond, and Liv legit loveloveLOVES what’s inside. They provide little cards that give you multiple options for play with each box, and each box has a few different little activities inside.

I’d also HIGHLY recommend their blocks set, for your own kiddos and as gifts! It’s heirloom-quality…literally the BEST blocks set I’ve ever come across. And again, the accompanying sheet has – I kid you not – 20 different ideas for imagination and play with the set, so it keeps things creative, fun, and fresh during playtime. Worth every penny!

Scentfield candle

Taylor sent me this cute customized candle (she wrote the label! How sweet!) from a small shop for my birthday, and man oh MAN. In fairness, I’m yet to actually burn it, but that is solely because I never want it to run out. She got me the sea salt-citrus-sandalwood scent, and holy moly…what a good clean smell. And it’s from a small shop!!! SO GOOD – I will repurchase from this one!

IT Cosmetics Pillow lip stain

At first application, these reminded me of my fave Maracuja Lippies from Tarte. I will say, the Tarte ones have a longer lasting hydration/gloss feel, where these feel like they “dry” to a truer stain feel – which is cool since it says they’re “mask-friendly.” But they apply with equal ease, are comparable in price point, and have really wearable shades for everyday. Infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid, and tri-oil complex and formulated to not feather or settle into fine lines on your lips, so really great for all ages!

Walmart dress

Walmart has been slaying the spring style game, and I’m here for it. Under $50 and one of the prettiest sherbet-inspired finds of the season – I am obsessed!!!
