It’s March OKURRRR! My birthday month, baby! And one of my just personal favorite months in general because it’s typically when winter tends to say see ya later, and when we start to see signs of spring in Philly. Bless up. 🙂 There are also QUITE a few HUUUUUUUUGE things happening this month at CUR headquarters, so stay tuned – the first (+ biggest) announcement drops TOMORROW. I can hardly catain myself.
Actually that’s a lie.
I’m not containing myself. EEEP. 😉
OK BUT FIRST….some cool sh*t I lovelovelove. It’s one of my favorites times of the month, since I get to share some tried and true FAVES with you! This month’s faves include Disney, of course, the Dr. Scholl’s sneakers I wore all throughout Disney World, a new skincare launch, chocolate covered frozen raspberries, the memorial pieces we got for Moose and Pumpkin, + MORE. Seriously so much happened this month – February was a blur. Let’s dive into this…
1.) Red Dress Wind Down sweaters
These are the incredibly soft + cozy sweaters that I’ve raved about this month that don’t break the bank; they feel like they’d be $50+ but they’re only $32! One of Red Dress Boutique’s bestsellers, and they sell out constantly with new colors always coming in + being restocked to keep up with demand. They’re fabulous, too, because they’re long enough to wear with leggings (they cover your booty in the back!), and they’re light enough to transition seasons. You could wear with denim or pants now, tuck into cut-offs for spring, or add layers on top like a quilted vest for cold winters. The sleeves roll up easily for when it warms up, and it’s a breathable knit. Really fabulous prince point for this – stock up on a few, because they sell out SO FAST every time they’re restocked in any color! Absolutely get one – but grab another if you can, too, because you’ll have them on repeat!
BUT WAIT, aren’t Dr. Scholl’s for old people??? NOPE, Dr. Scholl’s are for WISE people. And not only the old are wise. 😉 Dr. Scholl’s shoes are undoubtedly one of (if not THE) most comfortable shoes on my shelf. I have maybe 7 pairs of Dr. Scholl’s at this point, ranging from sneakers to slip-on’s to sandals and even heels, and they’re just ALL so dang comfy. Dr. Scholl’s were THE shoe I packed for taking on Disney World. I brought 3 pairs. They’re one of the only kinds of shoes I can trust wholeheartedly to not hurt, give me blisters, rub, or give any other less-than-ideal wear. Also, Dr. Scholl’s shoes nowadays are just SO much different than what some folks might picture in their heads from years ago. They’re not these ugly black orthopaedic things that you only wear if you get to “that point” and have to. OH NO. They’re so cute and come in all sortsof styles + colors with fresh styles each season, so I’m always adding more to my own collection. You’ve seen me wear these boots + these boots ALL THE TIME throughout winter – and they’re both Dr. Scholl’s, too!
As you probably know by now, 2/3 of our rescue cats unexpectedly passed away right around Christmas (unrelated to each other). It totally shook our little family and was so hard, so I wanted a way to memorialize them forever. I ended up going with cross-stitched ornament rings from Artifact, this cute little shop in St. Louis, Missouri, and I was absolutely floored when I got them in the mail. First off, the shop owner, Maggie, had me send over photos of each of them. She then sketched each out before actually stitching them with colored thread. I am SHOOK at how good they are. Shook. I mean, they look identical to the photos – and she did this with string on a canvas!!!! I know it’s a bit morbid to mention, but if you’re in the market for any memorial pieces, I couldn’t recommend Artifact enough. (Maggie does non-memorial pieces as well, so if you just want a really well-done cross-stitch piece, she can do that, too!).
I wore my Olivia name necklace every single day for over a year, from the day she was born onward. I still wear it weekly, but I’ve added another to my rotation: this dainty little Erica necklace! I actually like layering them both, which feels special since one is my own identity while another means Liv is always with me. The Sis Kiss girls are so so sweet (they’re two sisters who run the shop together!) so I lovelovelove supporting their small business! They passed along discount code ERICA15 for you to save some money on any piece from their shop. Also make the best giftables, whether you’re gifting her her own name, her baby’s, whatever!
5.) Disney World + Disney cruise with Olivia
I mean, if you follow along on Instagram alone, chances are, you already know allllll about this once-in-a-lifetime trip that our little fam was on this month! I feel SO insanely blessed and humbled and privileged to have been invited to join in on Disney Creators Celebration (wrote a full recap of it, plus our 7-day Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise itineraries + recommendations here!). So many folks would probably call us crazy for bringing a 16-month-old to Disney World (and hey, I don’t blame ’em – I thought the same thing initially!), because she “won’t remember” the experience when she’s older. But, through the trip, I realized that it’s as much about us making those memories with and FOR her where WE remember the joy she had in magical moments, regardless of whether or not she can recollect the same magic again when she’s 15. Heck, I went to Disney World for the first time myself at age 15 on a school trip and I barely remember it to this day – so really, IS there a “best time” to go when you remember every little detail? I won’t go too down the Disney rabbit hole here since I already talked your EAR off about it here + on Instagram, but I’ll say it again since it’s obviously a favorite: I freaking loveloveLOVE Disney. Being able to take the fam + Olivia Grace to both Disney World AND on a Disney Cruise was just absolutely unreal and we had such an enjoyable, memorable time. Both our park + cruise experiences were perfect, and we already can’t wait to go back!

6.) Tula overnight beauty treatment
This is a newer-to-me Tula product that I had in my collection but hadn’t fully integrated into my daily arsenal until recently, and HOLY MOLY – wow. It’s their most-potent cream with a combo of probiotics, AHA’s, + Vitamin C inside to help target signs of aging, smooth appearance of wrinkles/fine lines, improve the overall tone + texture of your skin…all while you sleep. (Bless up). Really feels like I wake up glowier the next day, and I lovelovelove how multi-faceted of a product it is!
7.) Tula NEW LAUNCH: Brighten Up smoothing primer
This next one is a new to EVERYONE Tula product, as it just launched this month! Tula’s original face filter makeup primer has been a staple in my makeup bag for probably a year now (I’m actually shocked I haven’t mentioned it in a Cool Sh*t Monthly Favorites post yet – whoops!), so I was stoked to try this new primer in Tula’s collection. Brighten up is a silicone-free priming gel packed with yuzu, which is a citrus fruit with 3x the Vitamin C of a lemon!!! Designed to be cooling while gripping your makeup to your face, without clogging pores at all. Bonus: It smells like a trip to the spa!!! This one is better for wearing literally under makeup like intended since it serves as a really great base for a full-face of product, whereas the original face filter works by itself for a natural glow/pickmeup.
8.) Callaway Collection beaded bracelets
One of my best friends, Taylor, gifted me some rose gold beaded Callaway Collection bracelets for Christmas and I fell in loveloveLOVE – then I ended up getting two more from Mary in yellow gold so that I can always have them on, regardless of which color metal I’m wearing on any given day! They have such a fun feel, almost reminding me of friendship bracelets from back in the 90’s, while still being chic. Mine say “Olivia,” “Mama,” and also one with a J and E and a heart bead in between! Always lovelovelove supporting small shops. 🙂
9.) Trufru chocolate-covered raspberries
I found these in Target after seeing quite a few folks on Instagram lose their minds over them, so I had to give it a try (I mean, hello chocolate…don’t mind if I do!). AND WOW. They’re frozen raspberries with a layer of dark chocolate AND a layer of white chocolate on top. Normally I don’t like white chocolate, but these have a more prominent dark flavor (TBH I can’t really taste the white chocolate at all, and neither can J!) and are not too sweet! Just one is all I need as a sweet pickmeup, which is always warmly welcomed in the middle of the afternoon. REALLY great way to curb a sweet kick, too, since frozen fruit is better than, say, a whole box of Sour Patch kids. 😉 I currently have 7 bags in our freezer if that tells ya anything and J + I accidentally downed a whole bag together binging Love is Blind this weekend…
10.) Mom jeans
These are the $22 distressed mom jeans I’ve had on repeat all month, which many of you have already picked up, as well! I can’t believe they’re only $22. They fit in all the right places, aren’t too-tight anywhere, have the perfect amount of distressing, look great with tops tucked in, cuff great at the bottom to change up the look – they’re just all in all a great pair of pants. I have gotten my money’s worth and then some this season already alone – pick up a pair ASAP!
