The fact that summer is already basically 1/3 of the way over just about blows my mind. But, June is ending in the most magical way; as you’re seeing this, we’re boarding the Christening Cruise of Disney’s newest cruise ship, the WISH. I am OVER THE FREAKING MOON ecstatic and cannot wait to experience everything on board – and on Castaway Cay, which might just be my personal favorite place on planet Earth. 🙂 I am so honored to be with Disney on this maiden voyage, and even more honored to have gotten to bring J, the OG, and Mimi and Papa Frank along for the ride. Cue all the happy tears and literal fireworks, because this adventure will surely be one for the books!
Picking my favorite finds of the month was an easy feat, so please pour yourself a cup of something delish and enjoy. 🙂
1.) Disney Wish Cruise/Castaway Cay
It’s not even over and it’s already a favorite. Disney just kinda has that effect on ya, ya know? 😉 Make sure you’re following along on Instagram Stories for the behind-the-scenes scoop!
Clearly I have a thing for athletic sets lately, and clearly it’s a ~vibe~. It started this season with a set from Target that I paid honestly way too much money for (came out to about 50 bucks total, blech). Then it was a set from TJMaxx that’s super soft and not even $20 total. Then I scored these two gems of sets from Walmart, and holy moly, what winners. They’re thick but not too thick, supportive and compressive, high waisted with built-in bra, totally affordable and completely cute. I can’t decide if I’m more into the subtle hot pink leopard print or the lavender/periwinkle tie dye situation – but there ARE other color/print options if neither floats your boat.
THIS BOOK, WOW. As backstory here, I’ve never considered myself a “fantasy” novel fan before. Twilight was about as “fantastical” as I had gotten in the past – LOL. But Taylor swore this series (and really, this author in general) was literary gold, and Chelsie and I opted to “book club” it all together. Our first-25-pages deadline was approaching, and C texted the group chat saying…she stayed up until 2 am and finished the entire thing, it was that good.
Um, okay then OVERACHIEVER – I hadn’t even started the assignment yet. HA.
So I sat my booty down and got reading…then couldn’t put it down. I have the second on lock as my beach read and cannot WAIT to dive in.
This is one of the hottest beauty launches as of late – consistently sold out at Sephora. When I first went to pick it up in store, it was out of stock and the guy said they had sold all 10 that same day; luckily, I found it online and placed my order ASAP. It’s a gorgeous glowy pink for a perfectly dewy, sunkissed look. I included a little before-after photo here after blending it out a bit with a damp beauty blender – truly stunning.
I first found this brand randomly on Amazon in looking for flavored decaf K-Cups for our house, since my parents often like decaf in the afternoon. Now normally, I’d say there’s a time and place for decaf coffee…and that is never, and in the trash. 😉 BUT, I will say, it’s actually helpful sometimes, especially since these flavors are great. Then I found the same brand with caffeinated options, so naturally, I was sold.
6.) Blue one piece
This one piece may just be my favorite this season so far. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it since it’s a bit “sexier” online and that’s not typically my jam, but it’s actually pretty darn flattering! And at around $35, it’s a win.
Another one recently blogged because it’s just so dang good! I included a shot of it on one eye and not the other with no other makeup on to really see the difference it makes. The wand is fabulous – slightly curved for a great lift. No clumps or smudging, either, nicely lengthening and slightly volumizing!
Can I just say Walmart has been ~slaying~ the game lately? My girlfriends and I have said Walmart is besting Target in the clothes department this season – and maybe in shoes, too. I got not one but TWO pairs of white sneakers, each under $20.
Both have memory foam soles, so you get a totally comfortable, formed-to-your-foot fit.
And this pair is an affordable option to get the Nike Air One look for less – $15 instead of nearly $100!
9.) Toddler goggles
I grabbed these on Amazon for Olivia’s pool time and I’m SO impressed – they’re fabulous goggles for kiddos, namely because of the strap situation! The straps are completely adjustable with comfortable velcro and form a secure fit around the crown of their head, so the goggles don’t move or leak on them.
10.) Coldplay in concert
DREAMS DO COME TRUE. Coldplay was *the* concert on both mine and Jamie’s bucket list. It was IT – the one we said we’d absolutely have to see without a doubt, no matter what. When we saw the announcement that their world tour was hitting Philly, we screamed, set alarms, and all but blacked out buying tickets as soon as they released. It was a totally magical show, from our synchronized light up wristbands powered by clean energy, to it pouring rain on everyone during Fix You.
