Apologies in advance for the photos in today’s post; with quarantining the past two weeks from a potential COVID exposure, I wasn’t able to see my mom to shoot photos per usual. So the ol’ iPhone it is – ha! But I’m STOKED to bring it to ya nonetheless, because so many of these products are a.) great giftables, and b.) favorites of mine for SO long now. I tried to ensure every single thing I’m sharing today is something you can gift someone else (because who doesn’t lovelovelove crossing off a list?!), or pick up ASAP to make your holiday season easier (a Christmas tree! Christmas cards! etc). So let’s just dive right in…
False lash effect $5 mascara – This is THE $5 mascara that I’ve shared on Instagram Stories a handful of times in direct side-by-side comparison to a $27 Marc Jacobs mascara. You all saw firsthand – it was more lengthening AND volumizing, for a literal fraction of the price. It’s called a “false lash effect” mascara and for clear good reason – it’s the closest I’ve gotten to looking like I’m wearing falsies without them. And I HATE wearing false lashes (couldn’t even do it for my wedding day – ha!). For not even 5 bucks, this one’s a winner winner chicken dinner in my makeup bag that I’ve re-purchased a few times already!
Liv’s sparkly sneakers – I’m sorry but are these not the cutest little toddler kicks you’ve ever seen?! My girl loveloveloves sparkles (the apple doesn’t fall from the tree 😉 ), so I had a feeling she’d be into these, and sure enough…! They’re great, too, because the shoelaces are facade; they actually have a zip up the side for easy on/off. As any toddler mama can tell you…this is a blessing. Bless up.
Minted Christmas cards – We’ve gotten our Christmas cards from Minted the past three years now, and every year I lovelovelove them more. They’re just gorgeous! Minted’s cards are all designed by independent artists, so they have a really beautiful artistic vibe. I blogged ours here! Had to include in case you’re looking to still grab custom cards for the holiday season.
Green Amazon dress – This dress had me SHOOK from the moment I tried it on! I had no idea what to really expect since I bought it on a whim while adding to Amazon cart. It seemed like it might’ve been from an unknown/sketchy or maybe foreign storefront, so I didn’t know if it would arrive looking at ALL like it was pictured – ha! Luckily, it was exactly that and then some.
For not even 30 bucks, this dress is SUCH a pleasant surprise for any sortof event or festivity you might have on the calendar (if any – it is 2020 after all, ha!). It comes in a few beautiful colors and is just a showstopper all around. Has a zipper up the side, in case you’re curious where that is!
S’mores mix – OK SO I thought I couldn’t possibly like this stuff because I don’t like milk chocolate. I’m a dark girl through and through. And then…I tried it. And then five bags later here we are and I have a problem. 😉 I’m honestly hesitant even recommending it because it’s borderline addicting…but MAN is it yummy. And makes a great gift addition to the chocolate-lover’s stocking, if you ask me!
It’s chocolate-covered marshmallows and grahams (think Golden Graham cereal bits + mini marshmallows!), and you will not be able to just eat one piece. Fair warning. 😉
12 ft. Christmas tree – The second we saw what would be our now-home, I saw visions of sugarplums dancing around the family room – specifically, visions of the EPIC Christmas tree we could have courtesy of cathedral ceilings. Before Halloween even hit, we hit up Costco to bring home a 12-footer, because so many other places online were already saying delayed until late-November for shipping – and with the rate 2020 has been, ain’t nobody got time to wait. ‘Tis the season to deck the halls, and come November 1st, we had the ladder out and the ornaments hung because falalalalaaaaaa, the time has come.
Scalp massager shampoo brush – This thing. THIS THING. Maybe the best thing to come out of November 2020. HA.
Dramatic? Maybe. But truthful nonetheless. 😉 I bought this 2-pack on a whim from Amazon because it was suuuper highly recommended (over 5,000 near-5-star reviews) and under 10 bucks. I figured I’d try it out, give the other to J if it was a hit, and at worst it’d be a fun little experiment. Well FRIENDS…you know that incredible feeling from the hair salon when someone else shampoos your hair? And how you could just sit in that chair all dang day because it just feels so dang good?!?
This does that. In your shower at home, for, like, a tenth of what it costs to get a salon blowout.
You’ll find yourself just standing in the stream of water, massaging your scalp and dreaming of pre-2020 life once again. 😉 It’s a real treat, and for not even $10 for two, a real steal! Makes a great stocking stuffer for girls AND guys.
Soma Enbliss bra – This is THE wireless bra I’ve been raving about on Instagram Stories that so many of you have hopped on board with, too, for good reason. It’s got no underwire but is still supportive, and word on the street is that it is still legit supportive and comfy for women of ALL boob sizes – seriously! It’s so comfortable I actually nearly forget that I’m even wearing a bra, which is a huge deal. I now own three, my mom’s on board, my girls are on board – it’s now a ~struggle~ to get me to wear an underwire. HA.
I also have the vanishing back wireless bra, but after some solid wear-testing them against each other for research purposes, I have come to the conclusion that the OG Enbliss is still my personal fave. The vanishing back one is still really good (and still wireless, obviously), but I think it’s a bit more snug under your boob for support, while the Enbliss doesn’t cut in at all.
They’re still BOGO 50% off, which is a great deal to take advantage of if you’re interested in trying!
Emily in Paris – This adorably cheesy, predictable, can’t-look-away Netflix drama from the makers of Sex in the City. Of course I was going to lovelovelove it. 😉 Granted, it’s not a realistic portrayal of influencer marketing in the SLIGHTEST. I mean, the girl posts a selfie holding a baguette and suddenly has 10,000 followers on Instagram…ha no. But it definitely fills your cup of lighthearted television – I was able to work while Liv napped with episodes on in the background and I was sooo bummed when it ended. Worth watching!!!
Pantene Nutrient Blends shampoo/conditioner – As seen on the blog this month! I was impressed with this duo the second I started testing it; it’s not often you find something from the drugstore that checks off all of your boxes, like being free of sulfates or parabens etc. This one does that and then some, also being super affordable (under $10) and smelling DIVINE, like Pantene products always do! It lathers beautifully and is a hydrating formula, too.
