THE COUNTDOWN IS ON. Christmas is 10 days away. Like…what?!?! Am I the only one *completely* unprepared for this?! Dear Lord baby Jesus, can we postpone until, like, March so I have all of my ish together before your arrival?
While I was in school, I SO desperately wanted to go all out with Christmas decor. I had a mini purple tree with maybe four ornaments tops lest it fall over, and Christmas-scented candles that I illegally burned (#ChristmasRebel), and otherwise, not much else fit. Even in J’s apartment, he never invested in decor since we knew we’d be in a house within the year. So this year, the fact that we have our very own Christmas tree is SO DANG COOL. I would’ve gotten that thing in October if J had let me. 😉

I am OBSESSED with our tree. We got it on sale from Lowe’s on Black Friday and put it up with a Hallmark movie playing and champagne bubbling…fitting. TBH I had to wrap a few presents that’ve been stashed away in my closet for the sake of photoshooting. 😉 I went *so* hard during the Bath & Body Works 1-day-only $8.50 candle sale, so now so many people on my list are getting candles! I burn these in the entire house every single day, so you could say I’m a bit of a candle snob. Ha. For an inside look at my obnoxiously huge candle collection, tune into Snapchat later today. 😉 If you caught our living room tour and dining room tour, you might be noticing…is brand spankin’ new! We lovelovelove it, cos we’re such wine people – and I love that the side panels open up, so you can conceal any vases, decanters, or other pieces that you don’t want on display 24/7. This mirror is a new addition. Eventually it’ll get hung on the wall above the buffet, but for now…it’ll do. Ha! It just works there, and I love how much more open and big it’ll make the space feel.

We went on a HomeGoods haul for a lot of our Christmas home decor – lemme tell ya, that place is heaven on earth come the holidays. Our Christmas throw pillows are both from Homegoods, as is our Christmas tree cookie platter and the funky silver pine cones (which are scented, bless up). The doll on the sofa was actually my very first babydoll ever – J thought it was super weird at first, but she’s only there because she matches the decor and it’s a sweet sentimental touch for the season.
In case you were wondering, why yes, I made the cookies myself. With the help of Betty Crocker. 😉 They’re White Chocolate Macademia Nut, the are DELISH, and they were my breakfast this morning. #Essentials

I’m such a Christmas sucker. If you want to instantly feel happy and in-the-spirit, turn on a Yule log for a few hours, light a Christmas-y candle (mine is ‘Tis the Season from Bath & Body Works – so fitting, amiright???), throw a dozen cookies in the oven, turn on the tree lights, and kick back with a cup of coffee or cocoa.
Instant bliss.
I just gotta give it to my eyelashes right here. They got their act together, and they stepped up to the plate. Brava.
P.S. It’s all I swear by it.
Below, we’ve got our framed “His” and “Her” drink menus from our wedding on the wine buffet – such a cute, fun, personal touch. I also lovelovelove the Polaroid snapshots of our cats…one of the two of us will end up in the center.
The gold “love” sign was also from our wedding (ICYMI, here are our wedding photos!). Our “Oceans” sign is , the gold placemats were from Walmart, and the dinnerware set we have for the holidays was all my Babci’s (grandmother, in Polish).
The first floor is pretty much the focal point of any entertaining, so that’s our Christmas hub – nearly all of our Christmas home decor is around here!
Christmas home decor is so fun, but now my problem is…I just want it all. I don’t get how you can buy one set, use for the season, store away, and just keep re-using forever when there are just *so* many cute options for so many different styles and tastes – the options are literally endless!
For any of the things we have that *are* shoppable, I’ve included them here:
What do you think of our Christmas home decor? What’s your own style of decor for the holidays?
I wanna know, so tell me in a comment below! Are you a red-and-green gal? Do you go silver and gold? Sparkles? Traditions? I wanna hear all!
