Well, the last fourth of 2019 begins tomorrow. It’s almost 2020. If you’re not shakin’ in your end-of-September boots in sheer disbelief that tomorrow is October, teach me your ways. My child turns ONE YEAR OLD next month. I’m just skating by as a ghost at this point as my human form goes through the day-to-day. IDK what’s going on. Ha!
Before the next months comes and goes too, let’s get into this Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove. There’s a new Tula eye balm, Atomic habits, fabulous drugstore lippy, monogrammed shirt, mug for fall, + MORE. Let’s do it.
1.)
Imagine your favorite varsity jersey, but lighter weight and all grown up. VOILA. That is the magic within . Perfect for casual looks for everything from hanging around the house to hitting up a bonfire or football game. Works well with denim of course, is long enough to cover your booty with leggings – heck, even pairs cute with a black denim cut-off skirt and black booties. And of course, you can monogram it! My mom picked it up at my house and was like WOW, is this that monogram company you talk about?? It’s so nice!!! Surprisingly well made.
2.)
THE mug you need for fall 2019. Particularly October. OH LOOK, tomorrow is October. 😉 I’ve shared Sweetmint mugs quite a few times before so this is likely (slash hopefully) no new news, but is probably my all-time favorite for fun, witty mugs for any person and/or occasion. For Christmas last year, I got at least one of these mugs for literally every person in my family. Some got two if I just could not make up my mind. 😉
Pro tip: Order the 15 oz. size and use code INSTA15 for a sweet discount at checkout!
A must on my desk and a solution to all of my problems. I do have an Ember mug (which was another favorite), but I don’t want to use it exclusively lest all of my other aforementioned clever, fun, colorful coffee mugs go to waste. So I picked up this gem from Amazon and *problem solved*. It just cutely and aptly sits on your desk, and it only turns on when it has the weight of a mug on top of it. Which is AWESOME if you’re like me and always afraid of forgetting to turn a warmer or curling iron or some other dangerously hot tool *off*.
Another great giftable option for the strongly caffeinated folks in your life!
4.)
I mean, if Lover isn’t on your own list of Cool Sh*t that YOU lovelovelove this fall, are you even doing it right? 😉 Truly, a phenomenal album. I can’t even pick ONE favorite song, although if I HAD to I’d pick “Lover.” T. Swifty just did it outta the park with this one, and it feels her. Reputation was AWESOME, don’t get me wrong – but I think comparing it to everything else made it feel more like a creative experiment to make a societal statement rather than her own personal outpouring.
Lover is back to basics and just gives ya the feel good feels. I could listen to it all day long on repeat. SO GOOD!
5.)
This. Lip. Crayon. THOUGH! If you follow along on Instagram (@ericaligenza) then you’ve probably already caught wind of this drugstore gem, and you likely want me to shut the heck up about it since I’ve been *raving*. But #CantStopWontStop, because it’s truly just that good.
Allow me to elaborate.
This bad boy applies like a lip balm but stays like a liquid lipstick. Riddle me that.
My first one was a mauvey nude shade called “Lead The Way.” (I’m wearing Lead the Way in all of these photos!) I don’t even remember how exactly I came to posess it – probably another case of blacking out in Target and coming home with 27 things I don’t need. 😉
But I tried it nonetheless, and it was…incredible. Easy application, especially since the tip is pointed – so it works for a quick liner – but then easily colors in like a lipstick. It feels creamy to apply, too, more like a balm. But then it lasts like your favorite liquid lipstick – all day long. If you caught my Instastory you know, I applied it at 9 am one morning before a full day of events downtown, and when I got home and hopped on Stories again at 6 pm, the pigmentation was still perfect – even after eating, drinking, talking, etc. Granted, of course I could’ve used a touch up by that point – but that was going without ANY reapplication of ANYTHING all day!
On my next Target run, I picked up not one but TWO more shades, because I had to. I mean, their shade names were “Make it Happen” and “Treat Yourself,” so I actually think maybe Maybelline reads CUR? HA. A girl can dream… 😉
Fun fact: On said downtown trip, Katie was with me and I turned to her and realized our lip shades looked remarkably similar…turned out, we had BOTH worn “Treat Yourself.” Didn’t plan it. Didn’t even know she owned it. And she also owns “Lead the Way” and loveloveloves. Y’all, Team CUR is hooked, so the CURowd should be hooked, too. TREAT YO’SELF, pun intended. 😉
And ALSO, found it even cheaper on Walmart’s website right now, so .
6.) Loopycase
I used to be a serial phone case switcher. I’d swap cases like you swap shoes – whenever you feel like it and to go with an outfit. HA. I first used popsockets so as to cure the case of dropped-phone-on-face that happens to ruin your mornings or evenings. But I got a Loopycase oer a year ago and realized that I hadn’t changed my case since, so it was worth calling out. I just upgraded my iPhone, too, and was case-less for a hot sec and realized how dependent I was on my Loopy. Especially for us mamas, being able to just loop your finger around it and multi-task by carrying #AllTheThings is really an invaluable thing!
A few of you asked me on Instagram if I had a discount code for Loopycase – and I DO NOW! Use code eligenza10 for 10% off your case. 🙂
7.)
My favorite new healthy snack. They’re gluten free and delightfully crispy, and they’re yummy by themselves or paired with a favorite dip. Hint of Sea Salt is my personal fave variety so far justbecause it pairs well with anything, from a savory buffalo chicken dip to sweet cream cheese. I accidentally ate an entire box from start to finish by myself in one day because I started with a handful in the morning, and just kept having handfuls until my bedtime snack. They’re my favorite “cracker” I’ve tried in a looooong time, and a repeat purchase now for our household!
8.) “Atomic Habits”
I’ve been fascinated with the science behind habits for FOREVER at this point. Why we do what we do and our the brain works just gets me all jazzed up, and it’s why I studied marketing in college – I’m lowkey obsessed with human psychology. James Clear is one of my FAVORITE “bloggers” slash authors (you might recognize his name or writing if you’re a Weekend Reading regular – I share his stuff often!). Everything he writes is just so dang THOROUGH, informative, and really, life-changing.
I’ll likely round up some tips from inside for you guys to get the Cliffnotes version, but highly recommend diving into the book yourself.
9.)
The Tula eye balm is no stranger to CUR – heck, Tula in GENERAL is no stranger. Chances are, if you follow multiple bloggers on Instagram, you’ve heard about it and maybe even hate seeing Tula pop up repeatedly. But you guys…it’s for good reason.
Hopefully by now you know I’m a bit of an ingredient junkie and lovelovelove learning + sharing what’s in products and WHY. The latest Tula eye balm launch is a warmer-toned upgrade from the OG version. Inside are still probiotics + superfood ingredients, caffeine, aloe, blueberry, hyaluronic acid, AND also two NEW ingredients to this Tula eye balm in particular: Rosehip oil + rosewater. Rosehip oil is a plant-based alternative to retinol, which we know is SO IMPORTANT for anti-aging and preventing fine lines/wrinkles. And then rosewater is hydrating! As always, Tula products are also totally free from alcohol, parabens, phalates, mineal oil, silicone, sodium lauryl sulfate – AND they’re cruelty-free.
My code COMINGUPROSES will save you (just remember that if you’ve used a code before, you’ll have to checkout with a different email address to get the discount again!)
Also, in the bottom right picture below, I applied the balm to the right eye when you’re looking at me (my left eye, but the right of the picture – the eye nearest the balm). You can literally SEE the shift from just one swipe! My mom was at my house this weekend and was like WHOA, that’s crazy – and that’s one swipe over makeup! Literally cannot recommend adding a to your own arsenal any more!
10.) ShopRite Organic Dark Chocolate Almonds
Another favorite snack – clearly this month was just a total snack attack. And I’m not mad about it. 😉 I first discovered these on my little summer beach getaway with the ShopRite team a few weeks back. And holy moly, they’re now another MUST in our house! J thought we ran out the one day and was legit SAD. They’re just so yummy, and they’re relatively healthy when it comes to snacking, too, since they’re dark chocolate and raw almonds combined. Lots of antioxidants there, peeps! You’ll find yourself not-so-accidentally going for the entire bag and hiding it from your family. That good.
Bad is when you eat the entire bag and don’t have any left for taking pictures at the end of the month. Not like I’m speaking from personal experience or anything… 😉
