TGIF! Today’s post is chill and random and has some frills, so it’s now dubbed Friday Frills. HA. I don’t usually have too many general life updates about myself around these rosy parts, because honestly, I just figure it’s not the most valuable for you. And since I’m all about that value, I just go on with inspiring your Mondays or spilling blogging secrets or teaching you how to try certain trends. But I had a whole buncha random things that I just had to share with ya, and they’re too random to separate…so now they’re together. HA!
First: I’m getting married in two weeks.
Typing that even just is so STRANGE (in the best way). To answer a few Q’s I’ve gotten about it…
Has it sunk in yet??? No, no it has not. I feel like I’m just going to wake up and be like, “Welp, time to get hitched!” and put on a gorgeous dress and have the best day ever and black out through most of it out of pure excitement and shock and overwhelming happiness.
What are you most excited about being married? As cliche as it is, really just being able to live every day with my best friend knowing we took this vow together and are just truly there 100% for each other – that’s so special. Making a vow under God and having that sacramental bond and grace is really special to us.
We’ve had a long engagement (a year and 3/4), so it was never a rush of planning or a crazy whirlwind all at once. Especially since I’m getting married in my hometown and not where we currently live, wedding planning feels like it happens when I’m with my parents. When it does happen, it’s full throttle; today I’ll be doing a final reception venue walk through, caterer meeting, hair and makeup trial, and a photographer call – a whole wedding day. So it requires a removal from my current daily life to be in the wedding zone, and then back out of it – it’s weird! I can’t really explain it, but I know it’s going to be the best month of my life (and hopefully J’s, too 😉 ).

Lately I’ve been looking towhenever there’s something trendy I want to try without knowing exaaaaaactly how it’ll look on me, and/or I just want cheap stuff. 😉 I used to be a total skeptic as to quality, but I’ve ordered quite a few things now from ’em and have yet to be disappointed. Genuinely impressed!
is my jam lately (didja catch it in this post???), and it’s less than $15, so can’t complain was another recent purchase after the more-expensive Nordstrom counterpart sold out in the Nsale like rosé before Bachelor in Paradise, and I kept getting questions on it on Snapchat – it’s less than $9 (!!!).
It’s universally flattering, which I love! Whether you’re looking to accentuate your shoulders, add some volume to your chest area, conceal a stomach – whatever the goal, this top basically accomplishes it. It’s hard to see from pictures, but the print is a tight white and blue grid, which I also lovelovelove! It’s just the perfect amount of feminine and fun.

Seriously, you guys are amazing. I’ve been so blown away lately by all of the sweetness and kindness you’ve been throwing at me, whether via email, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram…you’re just on the game like no other. This blog post from longtime CUR reader Kathryn had me in tears – she’s such a sweetheart, and completely made my week. THANK YOU for reaching out whenever and however you do. I wouldn’t be able to live CUR if it weren’t for that, and I could not be more thankful. I hope you always feel at home here and like you’re truly supported and loved (because you are!). Always here for you, whatever you need, whether it’s just some help or a resource for work or some girl talk about serious stuff (or the Bachelor, ’cause #priorities). Never forget that. I’ve got your back, girlfriend!
