PHEW – mama needs a weekend from the weekend. 😉 We had the best time celebrating the OG turning THREE – which I seriously cannot believe. Our theme was our MINNIE-Me turning three (get it???), so we went with a Mickey Mouse birthday party theme – specifically, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse party. Liv has been a *devout* Clubhouse viewer – it’s her one show that she chooses after her afternoon nap to watch with a snack before daddy gets home. So, it only made sense to turn our house in the Clubhouse for a hot diggity dog time! 😉 I had been stocking up on party supplies and planning ALL THE PUNS for months, and it turned into such a fun little time – albeit, a bit chaotic, but ’tis the season with kids’ parties amiright? Figured this would be a helpful place to include all of the Mickey Mouse birthday party necessities I grabbed to make it happen in case you’ve got a Clubhouse fan in your own house, too. It’s obviously a popular theme, whether you’re doing it as a first, and Oh TWOdles! second, or a MINNIE-me third like we did – and Mickey Mouse never goes out of style. 😉
I didn’t get to take as many pictures as I had hoped, namely because I was 100% focused on Liv (+ our guests) having a good time that I couldn’t find my phone for half the party. HA. But enjoy a few snapshots of the fun + links to everything I grabbed to bring the best Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party to life!
Liv’s little THREE outfit was an Amazon find – it’s DARLING. I threw on black leggings underneath for her and it was a smash hit all around. Her little shiny black bow shoes were also an Amazon find – they’ve worked for everything from family photos to her birthday and will keep on keepin’ on until they’re worn to death.
The HAPPY BIRTHDAY garland + Minnie Mouse garland came in the same pack on Prime – VERY pleased with it. Felt like great quality and were simply adorable for the Minnie slash Mickey Mouse birthday party theme. The pack came with the garlands as well as a cake topper, multiple helium balloons, AND some polka dot latex balloons for not even $20 total, which is a *steal* compared to actual party store pricing.
We had a little EARS table set up for guests upon entrance – I found this ears pack that comes out to $0.70 a pair. I mean – A STEAL…if you’re planning an actual Disney trip with friends, buy one pack of these and split among all to save major money!
For our little punny signs around the party, I typed out words in the Disney font and Mimi literally free-hand designed them. She’s a pro!
A MUST for me for any party at our home now is a balloon garland around the pillars. At this point, I’d say I’m a pro. 😉 I got this 50 ft. long balloon arch tape two years ago and it lasted for her first, second, AND some of her third birthday – I only *just* ran out of it now, and it was only $6.45. Definitely the most cost effective option, and fairly easy to figure out! I recommend making it a tag team effort to blow up balloons and punch their knots into the arch tape holes. Alternate colors/sizes to your liking, and then wrap your finished product in the formation you’re going for! PRO TIP: Less is more. If you OVER-stuff the tape, they won’t lay flat and/or they’ll just be trickier to manhandle and maneuver into position.
We did the same sortof balloon garland here for Taco TWOsday AND arched it for ONEder Woman – it’s always a hit!
Big shoutouts to Taylor, Karin, + Mimi for helping me make the magic happen for this magical Mickey Mouse birthday party extravaganza for the OG. Couldn’t have done it without you. 🙂
This Mickey & Minnie HAPPY BIRTHDAY sign was *impressive* – it’s fabulous quality. Much thicker than plastic tablecloths – withstands toddlers and kids wildly running into it. HA. I used my photo backdrop rack to hang it up, so I recommend doing something similar for the same effect! For just over $20, it’s definitely a great find that’s repurposeable, too.
The big red 3 balloon came in packs from Amazon here, and I picked up bubbles for the attending kiddos from Party City. Party City also blew up all of our helium balloons and actually delivered them day-of (right on time, I might add) – definitely impressed and will use them again! Lord knows traveling with helium balloons ain’t an easy feat, so cheers to checking that one off of my list in the easiest + safest way possible.
Our Mickey Mouse birthday party menu included a HOT DIGGITY DOG bar in honor of – you guessed it – the infamous Hot Dog Dance. Bummed I didn’t get to snap a shot of the full shebang because it was quite a hit – but it was literally TOO big of a hit, because the dogs disappeared before I couldn’t even think to photograph it. HA. We grilled a ton of dogs and let everyone build their own and choose from a bunch of fun toppings: ketchup, mustard, relish, sauerkraut, raw onions, sauteed onions, other fun sauces, cheese, + J’s homemade chili. Paired with junk food: onion rings, sweet potato fries, + craft beer-battered fries. YUMMERS.
Have you ever been to (or thrown) a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Birthday Party?
It was a hot diggity dog time for all!
