It’s the last week of April already…casual. I feel like SO MUCH happened this month, from Liv starting pre-school to us getting vaccinated and just ALL THE THINGS. We’re finally starting to book some trips for future months, and so much spring cleaning has it all feeling like a massive fresh start for all. Lots of goodness to be grateful for, that’s for sure! And lots of goodness below for ya, too. 🙂
APRIL’S INSTAGRAM ROUNDUP:
APRIL’S PODCAST EPISODES:
1.) Intentional Motherhood & Learning to Thrive as a Mom (+ Human) Again – with Dr. Jen Blossom – Calling all mamas! Powerhouse mom AND boss, Dr. Jennifer Blossom is digging in and diving deep into the realities of motherhood, and telling us what it takes to break the survival cycle to choose to thrive again – both as a mom, and as a human being. We talk about crucial mindset shifts that moms HAVE to take to avoid overwhelm and anxiety, time management tips to get back more of the time you swear you just “don’t have,” how to create a more flexible schedule that works for everyone and you’re actually okay with – and then some. I know you’re going to come away from this conversation feeling re-invigorated in your own motherhood journey, whether you’re a brand spankin’ new mama or a already a few kids in.
2.) Mastering your MONEY MINDSET: From $0 to $40,000 in One Month – with Liz Wilcox – Liz Wilcox knows what’s it like to sleep in a park bench, to live in a house with no plumbing, and to not be able to count on a penny from your parents. She also knows what it’s like to say NO MORE, to choose a different path, and to go from making $0 in your business to over $40,000 in one month. Liz is an email marketing guru, a “mompreneur,” and a great laugh, and she’s here to help you assess your own emotional relationship with money and adjust your own money mindset so that you, too, can be financially free.
3.) How I Turned my 3 Terrible Tragedies into a Super Awesome Life – with Positivity Expert, Jane Enright – Jane Enright has been through the storm…and another, and another, and another. In the same way she suffered a major brain injury that lost her her business, memory and speech, her partner suffered a terrible car accident, and cancer took her best friend of 40 years. She’s also had three miscarriages, so she’s greeted pain and hardship at her door time and time again – yet today, she’s here as a “positivity expert” leading a community called “My Super Awesome Life” and with a book called “Butter Side Up.” Jane’s story is incredible and her perspective inspiring, and today on THRIVE she’s shedding light on everything from “toxic positivity” to her specific strategy for handling life’s “Oh My God” moments that happen quickly and unexpectedly.
Top sellers are pulled from my analytics data, where I can see what YOU guys shopped + clicked the most all month long! No worries – it doesn’t tell me what all was in someone’s cart, or who bought what? But it’s helpful for me to see what’s most popular with the CURowd, and hopefully helpful/fun for YOU to see what fellow readers are shopping, too!
1.) Maybelline lippy – Forever a bestseller, forever a favorite in my makeup bag! This lippy formula applies like a balm but lasts like a liquid lipstick, without drying out your lips. Shade “Trust your Gut” is a dupe to Charlotte Tilbury’s famous Pillow Talk lipstick, but you can’t go wrong with any color – I own 6 shades at this point!
2.) Amazon slippers – Another ongoing bestseller – the $25 alternative to $85 UGGs that are warmer, softer, and all around cozier, while staying on your foot better! SO many of you have snagged these – reader Sarah got a pair for her 85-year-old grandma who approves, so obviously they’re a must. 🙂 Blogged ’em here side-by-side to the UGG slippers…
3.) Tory Burch sandal dupes – These have been flying off the shelves since sandal season is just about here! They’re a great $40 alternative to the famous $200 Tory Burch Miller sandals (linked my blog post comparing the two for ya!).
5.) Yogalicious + Colorfulkoala leggings – These two bestselling leggings are both suuuuuuper similar, more affordable alternatives to the $98 Lululemon Align pants. I’ve tried every single Amazon alternative and its mother, and I’m positive these two are top dollar comparatively speaking – and both under $30! Here they are blogged…
6.) No show socks – The BEST no-show socks on Planet Earth. They won’t slip off your foot and into your shoe, and you’ll throw out every other option in your drawer – no joke!
7.) Wrist key ring – The handiest $10 addition to your key ring to get your hands back! A MUST for moms with babies or kiddos in hand, or any fellow crazy bag lady!
8.) It Cosmetics CC+ Cream – I have maybe 7 tubes of this in my vanity right now – I kid you not. Total staple in my stash! Full coverage with SPF 50.
10.) Aerie boyfriend tee – This is a recent Aerie find for me and I’ve worn it repeatedly already – totally comfy, easy to front tuck, great casual option!
