Cool Sh*t I Lovelovelove – Monthly Favorites, May 2019

Um…how on God’s green Earth is June this weekend?!?!?! TY’all, 2019 is halfway OVER. Like…what? I feel like I’m in a time warp every month by the time Monthly Favorites roll around, because like whoa. Insanity! Anyhoo, so much to lovelovelove this month, so I’ll hop right into it – we’ve got a solid mix of clothes, accessories, skincare/makeup products, baby, + more. Here’s to hoping some of my favorites becomes your favorites, too!

1.) “Own Your Everyday”

Jordan and I met on Instagram – anyone who comes across her content ends up feeling like they’re chatting with a girlfriend, because that’s exactly how Jordan lives through her social media + podcast.

By page 8 I was fired up.

By page 17 I was teared up.

Jordan is such an eloquent, visual storyteller, which I wholeheartedly appreciate since I always aspire to paint pictures with my own words, too. “Own Your Everyday” makes for a truly motivating, relatable read, that makes you laugh, makes you cry, and makes you think! Definitely worth the read – pick up for the pool!

2.)

I’ve had It Cosmetics’ CC+ creams in my makeup bag for YEARS at this point, and they’ve been a favorite since day one. This is one of the *only* CC creams that works without fail, doesn’t break up on my skin, and actually has good coverage. It’s a foolproof, fuller coverage formula, and it has SPF 50+, so it’s my summertime go-to. It’s won multiple awards – it’s formulated as a brightening color corrector, hydrating anti-aging serum, poreless-finish primer, dark spot concealer, and moisturizing day cream in one.

Also, it’s infused with hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid (my fave), antioxidants, + vitamins, so it’s truly a good-for-you product that is reaaaaaally skincare + makeup combined (which I lovelovelove).

3.) Striped strapless dress

Maybe you remember this bad boy from my Amazon closet staples blog post a few weeks back? If not, let me introduce you.

Whether you’re looking for a baby or bridal shower ensemble, a gender reveal dress, something for a wedding or other special event, or just a fun sundress for the season, this one fits the bill.

It’s made so well, zips up the side for a perfect fit, and is lined (bless). It stays put on your shoulders without hiking up (important when it comes to strapless, ya feel?), and it highlights your collarbone really nicely because of the ruffle up top. Super feminine while still being really functional + comfortable. Also on Prime! 100% worth every penny.

4.) Blogger closet sale

If you follow along on Instagram, chances are, you heard me mention the Blogger Closet Sale a time or two earlier this month. But for good reason – it turned out to be a FABULOUS event that was an absolute blast for bloggers + shoppers alike. My good girlfriend Laurelle and I brainstormed this bad boy into fruition; we teamed up with six other local Philly bloggers to sell our gently used + brand new clothing, accessories, etc – with 100% of any proceeds going to charity. Shop, Sip, & Support ended up raising over $1,000 for the Northeast Animal Rescue in Philadelphia, which was such a proud, happy moment for everyone involved. And shoppers left with armloads of fabulous stuff, so it was an absolute blast of a day for all.

5.) Murad Prebiotic 3-in-1 MultiMist

I’m on a face mist KICK as of late, and I don’t see it stopping. (A post all about face mists is dropping tomorrow, so stay tuned…!). This one in particular has been on repeat since I first got it a few months ago. It’s a peptide-rich, hydrating mist that replenishes with prebiotics to help balance your skin’s microbiome. Can also prime + set makeup! It’s a 3-in-1 formula with hydrating sugars to moisturize + refresh skin, a yeast peptide to lock in hydration, and then a multi-tasking biopolymer complex that helps prime/set makeup. No parabens, sulfates, phthalates, gluten, dyes, GMOs, oil, triclosan, alcohol, nanoparticulars – and it’s vegan. Also cruelty-free + safe for sensitive skin.

I try to have 2-3 totally makeup-free days every week, where I’m solely focused on skincare. And especially on those days, I’m face misting out the wazoo. (I mist on days with makeup, too, but not AS much so as to not risk muffing my makeup!). Especially with it getting warmer + muggier outside now, it’s so refreshing, besides having so many good-for-you qualities.

6.) Laneige /

Laneige lippies are my JAM. I first picked up the on Amazon after every blogger and her mom seemed to be raving about it for overnight. Dry lips are my biggest pet peeve maybe ever (right up there with inconsiderate people and running out of _____).

This is one of the only lip products I’ve EVER used at nighttime that seriously *helps* overnight, where I wake up with smoother, softer lips than I went to bed with. It’s a leave-on mask for dryness + fine lines (because yup, your lips can get those, too), that’s enriched with Vitamin C, antioxidants, and a Moisture Wrap technology with hyaluronic acid (who’s surprised?) + minerals to create a protective film for locking in moisture + active ingredients. No parabens, no phthalates.

Then, this – which is a new product from the brand and was in my latest Sephora cart! I couldn’t wait to give it a try, and for good reason with how hooked I am to the lip sleeping mask. Y’all…it doesn’t disappoint. Remind me of the Kopari coconut lip glossy a bit – which is also a cult beauty favorite. A really good gloss that isn’t too slippery OR sticky – it’s that perfect in-between. Comes in four yummy flavors! Formulated with murumuru + shea butters for hydration (note: muruuru butters are what’s in my fave !). Also no sulfates, parabens, or phthalates. It’s like the daytime counterpart to the sleeping mask!

7.)

David Yurman is one of my favorite jewelry designers of all time. I just don’t think I’ve ever seen a David Yurman piece that I didn’t like – so many of his pieces are on my wishlist. The cable bracelets are classic, but the rings? I’ve got my eye on a morganite ring…

is from a newer collection right in time for summer: the Solari collection. I lovelovelove the rose gold, and the closure is this neat magnetic fixture that connects the bangle to the inside of the central ball.

I had the absolute pleasure of actually meeting the man himself at an event about a month ago – he is so genuinely kind and sweet. The type to instantly jump to actual conversation, not interested in superficial smalltalk or flattery. Really down-to-earth. Made me lovelovelove the brand that much more!

8.) Lululemon lookalike yoga pants

If you’ve somehow missed me raving about these yoga pants, what rock have you been hiding under??? Seriously, sistah! Get yo’self a pair of these less than $25 Lululemon lookalikes ASAP. They look + feel juuuuuust like my $98 Align pants – and in my blog post all about ’em, I broke down why, based on how each pair is actually made up. I wore them four times this past week. Not kidding, not mad about it. Just obsessed. Great for woring out or just hanging out, so they’re a pair to always have on hand! I have other colors from the brand, too (specifically pink – who’s surprised? No one. Ha!).

9.) Baby bow pack from Amazon

I had been on the hunt for bows for Olivia that were super soft + flexible; her little head grows so fast, but I also want her to always be comfortable with anything I’m putting on it! Ha! I found this pack of 20 bows on Amazon and gave it a shot, since it’s not even $12 on Prime and has every color under the sun.

Y’all. It’s so good!

If you have a baby or toddler chica, I totally recommend. They’re all made well + soft, but big and adorable. Matches anything you have your girl wearing, and Olivia doesn’t seem to mind wearing them at all!

10.) White woven mules

As seen in this post with Kohl’s – the mules I #CantStopWontStop wearing this season! Obvi, I’m a big mules girl. But these took the cake this year! They look suuuuuuper similar to a Sam Edelman pair that was so popular on Instagram, but costs double. And the best part: this pair has a squishy soft sole that legit feels like a Temper-pedic mattress. So they’re much more comfortable than mules that are totally flat-bottomed!

I wore them in Disney World, and for a full day of traipsing around NYC, so you know they’re the real deal when it comes to comfort. Also, THEY’RE ON SALE!!!!! The designer counterpart costs $100 – these look exactly the same and are on sale for $34.99. They run TTS!
