Getting Graphic: A Week’s Worth of Ways to Wear your Favorite Graphic Tee

It’s Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday! WE MADE IT, you guys! It’s FRIDAY.

Halle-friggin-lujah, amiright?

And is it just me, or did this week have all sortsa weird feels with it??? Tuesday felt like Monday, but then Thursday felt like Friday, and it was hard. Also confusing. Like calculus or something.

I am SO STOKED for today’s post. Namely because it’s something I’ve been thinking about for actually ever, and I’m legitimately shocked at myself for not having done this already in my 5+ years on the internet. Like, who am I? Sometimes I don’t even know myself.

Today, we’re getting graphic.

Specifically, we’re getting graphic with graphic tees – one of my favorite things on the planet, and something I admittedly own far too many of. There was a time not too long ago when I looked in my closet and gasped in horror at the fact that 75% were of the t-shirt variety, the other 25% being a combination of jumpsuits (my fave), sundresses, and jeans from the 12th grade. OK OK, slight exaggeration, but really…I own a ton of tees. TOO MANY TEES.

But I think my love(lovelove) affair for graphic tees started so early in life since they’re just so dang easy + versatile, and can really be mixed + matched with SO MUCH. You can dress a look up, or dress it down. You can edge it up, or girlify the whole shebang. My own personal style changes every other Tuesday, so I like ~options~. One day I’m feelin’ graphic tees with a ruffled skirt and heels – the next, it’s with faux leather and combat boots. So I wanted to give you guys a wide range of options – althought I could *easily* add another week to this, or mix it up with something like graphic tees for workwear, etc…would this be helpful for y’all??? Let me know in a comment below, wouldja??

A few disclaimers:

1.) These “days” aren’t all necessarily in any sorta order or for any sorta day of the week in particular.

2.) These “days” aren’t all necessarily in the same season, either. So feel free to mix + match ’em in the seasonally appropriate way where you live, whenever it works. 😉

ALSO before we begin, add these heart-shaped sunnies to your Amazon cart. They’re the exact pair I’m wearing for each of these looks, and they’re under $10. #YoureWelcome

ALSO ALSO my specific graphic tee is a lookalike (although TBH, IDK which one came first…) – there’s this $38 one, and mine is the $10 version. Looks identical, amiright? I’m wearing a size S (it runs TTS!)

Graphic tee + ruffle shorts + pop of color shoes!

Easy + breezy as a covergirl for summer vacay! Pair your graphic tee with a pair of shorts that accents a complimentary color in the t-shirt. I choose black to match the outline of the pineapple; my exact shorts were a boutique buy literally YEARS ago, so I found some similar options for you guys if you’re in need of soft black ruffle shorts this summer, too!

These are *insanely* cute and also *insanely* affordable – they’re on sale for $21.97, but selling out fast!  with just a slightly different hemline is available in all sizes still and only $32, so still a good deal. And then lastly, is a bit pricier than the former two, but they look suuuuuper similar to mine (just better quality – ha!) + are still in almost ALL sizes.

I added a pop of color in my shoes, justbecause. 😉 This graphic tee feels more neutral, I think, even with the pineapple on the front, so it felt appropriate.

DAY 2:

Graphic tee + white jeans + white slip-on’s

For before AND after Labor Day. 😉 Graphic tee + your favorite white jeans! I’m currently on the hunt for the best white jeans out there – have you found them yet??? Considering doing another roundup-competition-sorta post like this one with best white t-shirts – would you guys wanna see that? If so, sound off below – and let me know if you’ve happened to have found a true white jean gem.

I wanted to keep everything white + bright for this look, so I paired with from Dr. Scholl’s, which are INSANELY comfy – as the “Dr. Scholl’s” would suggest. 😉

DAY 3:

Graphic tee + distressed denim + white sneakers

Another no brainer option: graphic tee + your fave distressed denim has been on my personal favorites list since I first got ’em last year, so I always reach for them first. (They also don’t fade at all + are suuuuuper flattering, bless up). Just added for a sportier touch! I have quite a few pairs of white sneakers at this point (sneakers? tennis shoes? what do you call ’em???), but I especially lovelovelove these because they really hug your foot nicely, making it look + feel slimmer. I’ll be a fan of , don’t get me wrong, but they can def feel a bit bulkier and need to be styled carefully to not feel skater-ish sometimes (I think – maybe I’m just weird. Ha!). So the Jack Purcell’s (which is an offshoot of Converse, I believe?) feel a bit more feminine!

Graphic tee + printed pants + white sneakers

Hands down, MY FAVORITE GRAPHIC TEE LOOK. Also my mom’s personal favorite as she was helping me shoot this post, FYI. 😉 But this is just so dang ME, it’s unreal. First off, . I’ve worn these pants only a thousand times already, and I have no plans on stopping at a thousand and one. I have fondly dubbed these my “blogger pants.”

Why, you ask?

Because they’re super fun + trendy + feel “fashionable,” but they also feel like pajamas. So they are my go-to WHENEVER I’m traveling *anywhere* for work purposes, because I feel great while actually traveling, but look also more blogger-ish than if I would wear just leggings + a graphic tee. They’re also just so easy to style (surprisingly), because of the neutral print. Polka dots are like leopard – they’re basically a neutral. So this was super easy to throw on with the pineapple graphic tee – I knotted the tee to up the style factor a notch, and wore my Jack Purcell’s again because they also go with everything.

P.S. are on sale for literally $11. INSANITY. (I wear a size S, FYI!)

Graphic tee + skirt + mules

TBH, I tried this skirt on for this shoot while on location for the first time in at least a year, which was not smart – I don’t really like it all that much anymore, and it hit the donate pile shortly after. Ha! BUT, point being, BLACK SKIRT! For this look, I just followed the same concept as on Day 1: Pick a bottom color that complements an accent in the top. So just as I did black shorts for the black pineapple outline, same concept here! After donating this specific skirt, tho, (which I bought from a thrift shop in college anyways – ha!) I went straight away to buy the skirt I wore (+ you guys loveloveloved) in this blog post in black, too. Definitely a more flattering option! Made so well, comes in multiple colors, runs TTS, + only $12!

Graphic tee + black denim + riding boots + chambray top

This kinda styling is *perf* for transitioning seasons, so keep it on hand for August-ish when we all start feelin’ FALL (!!!). are *so* budget-friendly and *so* comfortable, it’s completely obvious why they’re a bestselling item for the retailer. My are sold out right now (they were a Nordstrom Anniversary steal last July!), but conceptually, swap out your favorite pair of riding boots for a similar effect!

Since it’s so dang warm out now (thankfully), I wasn’t about to WEAR a chambray top overtop of the graphic tee. But come fall, instead of tying a chambray around your waist, you could easily wear it overtop – either open or with the bottom ends tied together at your stomach – for a great transitional outfit.

Graphic tee + leather jacket + leather leggings + combat boots

Another personal fave, because y’all know my personal style is two parts girly, two parts edgy. 😉 First step: Insert graphic tee of choice. Second step: Add faux leather leggings (my favorite are ). Third step: Throw on faux leather jacket. Fourth step: Finish with combat boots. AND VOILA. Your graphic tee just grew up. 😉

Aaaaaand voila. The week is done, let the weekend commence.

How would you style your favorite graphic tee ? Which of the graphic tee outfits above is your personal favorite?

And with that, I’m off to a CUR team meeting (AKA I’m still in my PJ’s and need to call my intern – SO GLAM), then the dentist. Because where else would you rather be on a Friday afternoon than the dentist?

Don’t answer that. 😉

Happy weekending, friends!
