You say fall, I say…SPANX faux leather leggings! Really, the SPANX leather legging has become synonymous with fall style – and for good reason. It’s classic, chic, comfortable – and hella versatile. (Here’s a few ways I wear mine – and a few more here + here!). But on a normal day, they’re $98. While I never recommend paying full price since they do go on sale annually (during the NSALE + Black Friday week usually), they’re typically about 25% off at best – which still makes them around $70. I do stand by SPANX wholeheartedly as a fabulous investment piece for your closet; they’re known to last many seasons and really give you bang for your buck. BUT, I also know that spending nearly $100 on a pair of leggings can feel ludicrous to some – especially if you’re not already familiar with their fabulousness – and it can be a tougher pill to swallow in the name of style. Have no fear – a SPANX leather legging dupe is here.
Over the years, I’ve tried a handful of faux leather leggings in the hopes of finding a more affordable alternative to the cult-classic, bestselling SPANX. Every attempt fell short – until now.
While I had found quite a few options to get the look for less, much of why SPANX faux leather leggings are so beloved lies in the compressive waistband and that “Spanx” feel that is so known and loveloveloved. And THAT was always the hardest thing to find replicated – the same thickness, stretch, and compression beyond the shiny faux leather look. It’s why a true SPANX leather legging DUPE is always so hard to find, regardless of how many similarly shiny black leggings float around the internet.
But friends – I’ve done it.
I’ve found THE pair of faux leather leggings that most closely compares to the $98 SPANX pair – for under $60 on Amazon.
Sign a sister up and add to cart.
And the people have spoken: these SPANX leather leggings dupes have nearly 10,000 4.5-star reviews. They’ve got that high waisted tummy control AND the shine of the SPANX. A total look for less!
Now if you strictly care about getting the LOOK for less and don’t care about (or want) the classic SPANX compression, I have a few other faux leather leggings options that fit the bill. They’re not as thick, so not as warm, but they still have a matte faux leather look, stellar ratings, and are under $30 on Amazon (bless up).
Both options are *slightly* compressive as they’re made by workout labels, but they’re not that “suck it in” feeling that many recognize in SPANX.
Speaking of, you could technically workout in both of these – they’re light enough. (I would never say workout in the above dupe nor the legit SPANX leather leggings because you would quite possibly die from sweating – ha!)
Under $30 – about $26 – with over 2,000 4.5-star reviews. This pair is noticeably thinner/more workout-like, I would say. You can opt for 25 inch or 28 inch length depending on your height + preference (I got 25 inch). The fabric is a polyamide-spandex blend, which is a super durable combination – a bit more durable than the below pair (although I haven’t had any issues with either). These definitely aren’t a “dupe,” but they give a similar look for less.
Also under $30! This pair is a polyester-spandex blend; polyester is known to be a bit less durable/stretchy than the polyamide used for the above pair, but like I said, I haven’t had any issues with these. They’re by the brand that makes my favorite Lululumon Align legging dupe, so I stan. These are a closer option if you want the Spanx leather legging DUPE look and feel, but the main pair of this post are the closest overall match.
Tell me if you try this SPANX leather legging dupe – or the others!
