This Thursday is no ordinary Thursday. Friends, this is A BIG THURSDAY.
Why is it a big Thursday, you ask?
Because none other than the has ~just~ launched at Ulta, and I’m over here near peeing with excitement. Seriously, this has been a long awaited coming in my household.
ICYMI, the Butter Collection is a collection of all of the things we lovelovelove most from Physicians Formula: their cult-classic Butter Bronzer, Butter Blush, Butter Highlighter…and two brand spankin’ new goodies – a Body Butter and Butter Paradise Eau de Toilette. I mean, pack yo’ bags and hit the beach now, ’cause you know things are about to get coconutty AF up in here.
But before I get ahead of myself, the point of this post is twofold. 1.) To share the new , of course. But 2.) To share my vacation-ready beauty must-haves that I have on hand at all times in case a beach calls and I must answer. Actually, we shot this post while literally on vacation, on our little weekend getaway at Nemacolin. So it’s legit vacay-approved. 😉
1.) . I mean, if there’s gonna be water…my lashes need to proof it. I’ve mentioned before that if I were ever on a stranded island somewhere, my thing-to-bring of choice would be mascara. I feel naked without it, and it’s def the biggest essential in my makeup bag. But this is double-sided…if I’m stranded on an island, said mascara would also need to be waterproof. Because how the heck would I get to go swimming around my island without it?! #important. TBH, I don’t have a tried-and-true waterproof mascara favorite just yet…I’m working on it for this summer. Any recommendations??? Two that I’ve got on deck to test more are and – have you tried? Will report back with results…
2.) . Especially for travel, having just one do-it-all palette is totally the answer to all eye makeup woes. I can’t *stand* having a buncha tiny eyeshadow singles getting lost at the bottom of my makeup bag when traveling, and really, ain’t nobody got time. If I have to dump it all out to find that one little shimmery single, it’s too much. I keep my makeup bag as organized as possible when I’m on-the-go to just keep it all easy + functional, since my focus is always on the actual traveling rather than on getting made up for it. So, palettes to the rescue! My personal favorite is probably the – it’s got all of my favorite go-to shades and then some. I’m also actually a fan of the packaging for travel since it’s just easy cardboard – it’s not necessarily the *prettiest*, but I don’t have to worry about it cracking or anything in transit. But I’ve got the next on my list, and just might have to take her home with me if I happen to stumble into an Ulta on the way to the grocery store for milk and bread. 😉
3.) . WOW, what a time to be alive. I’m 1000% cheating in this post by saying I have 3 vacation beauty must-haves, because really, it’s more…they just all happen to be summed up in this pretty little collection right here. 😉 If you haven’t tried Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer yet, you haven’t fully lived. Which is totally dramatic, I know – but also true. It’s been around for maybe ever, and it smells straight up of coconuts. What I lovelovelove the most is that it’s a really versatile bronzer – and they recently launched it in quite a few different shades, too, so you can really find a good bronzer for your own skin tone. I’m no bronzer pro, personally, so oftentimes, I might end up just looking like I striped war paint on my face instead of achieving a Kardashian-worthy contour. So this bronzer is reaaaaaally user friendly, I think! The entire Butter line is infused with a blend of Murumuru Butter, Cupuaçu Butter, + Tucuma Butter, all from the Amazon. So besides the bronzer, the Butter blushes + Butter highlights are all suuuuuuper soft + creamy, making application a dream. A+ in blendability! They’re actually all formulated with essential fatty acids + pro-vitamins, all meant to soften, condition, + moisturizer your skin. So you’re REALLY getting a tropical treat – which is even better considering the havoc we so often put our skin through come summertime, from sun to seasalt.
Like I mentioned above, the Physicians Formula Butter Collection has not only the Butter Bronzer, Butter Blush, + Butter Highlight, but also a Body Butter + Butter Paradise Eau De Toilette. (It’s also an online only exclusive, so before it sells out!) One thing to point out: The fragrance is *not* identical in smell to the butter bronzer/blush/highlighter. It’s similar, but has a bit more of a vanilla-y twist to it. The ONE thing I wish were different in the collection is that the fragrance were a parfum instead of eau de toilette, simply because I typically wear parfum since it lasts longer! But this just means gotta reapply. 😉
I feel like the only thing I need now is a BEACH and I’ll be set for a solid vacay…any recommendations? 😉
