Happy VALENTINE’S DAY weekend, friends! Popping in to say happy Friday and wish you a weekend full of lovelovelove – and football if you’re into that sorta thing. 😉 If you’re in want/need of a yummy dip for the big game, I gotchu. If you’re in want/need of a sweet treat that has absolutely nothing to do with sports…I gotchu. You know I’m a big, big fan of a good charcuterie board (or table!) – this week calls for a sweeter edition. 😉 We whipped up an easy Valentine’s Day charcuterie board of sweet treats, candies, and chocolate-covered yum for a festive take on one of my favorite things.
I picked up all of these heart-shaped plates + bowls at TJMaxx. The bottomost big white heart tray is from the cupcakes + cashmere brand; it’s especially fabulous for boards since it’s got SIDES. Traditional cheese boards on traditional cheese plates clearly lack this much, with a Valentine’s Day charcuterie board, ain’t nobody got time for candies + chocolates sliding clear off the end. With grabby toddler hands also taking part, you KNOW I needed a solution STAT. 😉 This tray is great for its portability, quickly moving from countertop to table without making a royal mess. I linked quite a few fun heart-shaped trays, bowls, plates + decor below!
To create layers and add dimension, we layed another smaller heart-shaped plate on top with these pink sugar cookies (they have same day delivery! Bless!), truffles, and strawberries, then two heart-shaped bowls with lady fingers and candy (I’m partial to these – straight up addicting, don’t say I didn’t warn ya 😉 ).
All around we sprinkled really easy, grabbable favorites: Starbust of the red + pink varieties, dark chocolate covered mini grahams (for my local girls, grab the Bowl Basket ones from ShopRite – they’re the best!), dark choco sea salt caramels, and chocolate-drizzed pretzel thins (which are just as yummy as they sound).
To make your own Valentine’s Day charcuterie board, just grab lots of sweet treats that your people lovelovelove, plate them prettily and call it a day! Really, when you’re with your favorite folks, that’s what matters most. 🙂
That’s it – super easy, super simple, super sweet. 🙂
Dropping a few favorite CUR reads from the archives below for your Valentine’s Day weekend reading, baking, and dating…sending you lots and lots of lovelovelove!
