In the words of Jenna Lyons, the ex-creative director of J. Crew: “As far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral.” I mean, can we get an A-FREAKING-MEN up in here??? Leopard is one of the most versatile prints, and while it’s clearly trending for fall fashion already, I think it’s more than safe to say that leopard print is here to stay. It’s classic, it’s timeless, and it somehow seems to be “in” every single season – so that’s a win in my book. If you’ve been following CUR for any duration in length, chances are, you’ve got the hint that your girl loveloveloves leopard. I mean…proof, proof, proof, proof, proof, proof, proof, proof, aaaaaaand proof. 😉 So this leopard t-shirt fits right in.
So today, I’m sharing this NSALE staple, a leopard t-shirt, styled three different ways! I know the website says it’s currently sold out, but since Public Access of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens on Friday, there will likely be restocks made for it, and I’ve got a hunch this top will be restocked since it was such a hit! It’s squishy soft, doesn’t wrinkle, and comes in a gorgeous emerald leopard print, as well. My mom was with me when I was shopping in-store and tried mine on right after me because she loveloveloved, too – ended up getting it in the brown + emerald, too, as did I! It’s marked down to $15.90 for the sale, and the price will jump up on August 5th, so add it to your wishlist now if you lovelovelove and come back to buy it when Public Access opens, if you’re not already a Nordstrom cardholder shopping Early Access!
ALSO, I shared this gem on my Instastories the other day – it looks near-identical to another leopard t-shirt in the NSALE, but it’s from Walmart and half the price. I have it in leopard, floral, AND camo – its squishy-soft and wrinkle-free too, and truly fabulous. Size UP in this one, though, as it’s juniors’ sizing and runs smallers than typical women’s sizing! (I bought a M to fit like a S, and then sized up to a L in one to get an oversized fit).
Leopard t-shirt…let’s do it.
Leopard tee // White Madewell jeans // Gucci belt lookalike // Designer lookalike sunnies // Wedge sneakers (Included in NSALE) // “Olivia” personalized name necklace (Code ERICA15 will get you a discount!)
I am reaaaaaally into this look. And my mama is too, because I think she almost bought the whole shebang after we shot it – ha! There’s just something about leopard + white jeans that works.
My belt is an Amazon designer lookalike, and these wedge sneakers are one of my favorite purchases from this year’s NSALE – they’re more comfortable that flat versions of the same style of shoe – seriously! That added support makes a difference, and I’m here for it. Also these white jeans – let’s talk about ’em. I was on the hunt for GOOD white jeans. Ones that weren’t see-through, that didn’t pill or collect fuzzies, etc. And man oh man…I found them. Granted, they’re a prettier penny than what I typically like to spend on denim, especially since I lovelovelove American Eagle jeans and found these $17 TOTAL GEMS on – wait for it – Walmart’s website. But I saw them recommended highly online and decided to pull a treat yo’self, and they’re dreamboat jeans. They fit fabulously, feel great, and cross everything off of my white jeans list. So, I’m sold!
This outfit is easy, and something I’d wear for so many occasions, from a night out with the girls to just everyday errands. It’s not too formal, not too casual – making it that much more versatile! It’s also just comfortable, which is always key.
Leopard t-shirt // Leith cardigan (in NSALE – I’m wearing size S) // Black ruffle shorts (c/o – on sale for under $40!!) // Snakeskin flats (in NSALE) // Fall hat (in NSALE) // “Olivia” personalized name necklace (Code ERICA15 for a discount!)
Look number two is just FUN, and it works particularly well for transitioning seasons. The leopard t-shirt pairs exceptionally well with these ruffled shorts – which are on sale right now!!! – and would work sans sweater for right now! Add the longline cardigan for when temps begin to cool. And while the snakeskin flats work for now AND later, you could always opt for booties instead to up the fall vibes even more.
And THIS HAT. I was super stoked to see hats popping up so much in the NSALE, because I’ve got a hunch that means they’ll be big this fall! This was the last of the three looks that we photographed, so I took off the sweater (it was approximately a thousand degrees outside) to run a grocery errand after and was stopped + complimented on the look. It feels really put-together and chic, without being too showy!
One of my go-to date night ensembles or looks for a night out includes a moto jacket. There’s just something about ’em that makes me feel approximately 1000% cooler than I actually am. 😉 And really, they go right along with my girly-edgy personal dressing policy.
Paige denim is another investment jean that’s typically included in the NSALE. But, I actually bought mine from Nordstrom Rack and saved so much money that way! I had wanted to give them a go since I had never tried them on myself, and ended up loveloveloving the fit. Highly recommend, especially if you’re on the hunt for good denim but don’t want to splurge so much without knowing if they’re the best fit!
